Ah, so I'm reading this but I'm currently in a pretty massive bulk phase right now. I started at 159 in may, I'm at 175 now, headed to 210. I may try this when I hit my target. I don't think this is smart while trying to gain but it's definitely interesting

Well, that could be a good thing to try once you reach your 210 target. At that point I suppose you will want to strip off some fat.

Bulk/cut phase is not efficient anyway... Better keep your calories balanced with your spending but with a high intake of protein to promote muscle growth.

I'm totally going to try this. I'm generally sleepy all morning and by 6pm when I want to train I'm still feeling full from lunch.

This is really interesting. Does that book The Warrior's Diet include any research/data on physiologic impact with this diet?

No research/data. The only thing I can tell you from personal experience, you will get leaner and it will not affect negatively your performance in the gym since your energy level, motivation, focus and drive are higher.

As you pointed out, you lose your drive if you're satiated. Why disrupt that drive by sipping on protein shakes? Because you can't keep your mind off food? You're fighting decades of conditioning where the norm was 3 meals a day.

I recommend doing intermittent fasting. Fasting throughout the day has an enormous amount of benefits backed by research. Read here for a brief explanation on it. After a few weeks, you will adapt to this this meal plan and the constant thought of eating food will disappear.

If you're serious about bodybuilding and staying healthy, you should be doing IF. The mental benefits are a plus as well.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
