Red Pill TheoryThe main lessons I've learned after 3 years of implementing TRP (self.TheRedPill)

submitted by Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222

First off, a big thanks to all the mods, vanguards, SCs, and ECs for the outstanding content and keeping this sub on the rails despite the increasing new traffic.

A bit about me, I started 120 lbs & 5'9 soaking wet when I found this sub. My days consisted of smoking weed and playing video games all day when I wasn't working at my shitty dead end job in the food industry. No college, no girlfriends, no social life, just a never ending cycle of wake up depressed, drown it out with weed and video games, staying up til' I couldn't keep my eyes open. Rise and repeat. I could go on in detail, but you already know what I'm going to say cause most of you have been there.

Now here's where I brag. I quit smoking weed entirely, moved 1000 miles away from my hometown to a coastal city I love, I'm the happiest I've ever been at 180 lbs with dedicated lifting habits, a great new career with huge potential, and success with girls everywhere I go (5 plates currently spinning with more in the works)

I want this post to be about helping newbies transition from learning all this wisdom and information to APPLYING IT Here are the main points that I learned and applied that got me RESULTS.

1. Discipline yourself to take action.

The most important of all lessons. None of what you read here matters if you don't do anything with it. My best results happened when applied a little knowledge at a time, not trying to overwhelm myself with too much change too quickly. Baby steps. For example, if your lacking in the fitness department, start with a monday wednesday and friday routine with 5x5 stronglifts for a month, before upping to a 4 day split for 3 months, before upping to a 5 day split for 6 months, before upping to a 6 day split or PPL for a year. Another example, for 2 weeks, just start saying "Hi" to people when you walk past them or make eye contact with no expectation of a conversation starting. Then for another 2 weeks start saying, "Hey, how's it goin?" again, not expecting any conversation to start. Then 2 more weeks of "Hey, how's it goin? Crazy game last night, huh?" This time allowing a 30 second conversation to occur. And so on and so forth. You have to make yourself do the things you know you need to do. You WILL thank yourself for this. The grass IS greener on the other side of hardship.

2. Learn to speak up about what you want and start fucking saying NO.

This world is your oyster, you're a legendary sexy space christ sent from mars to lead the normies to a fun and interesting life that doesn't suck. Boss wants you to stay an hour late so it fucks up your workout schedule? "No, can't tonight". Friends wanna go to some lame ass hipster bar filled with green and pink-haired feminists, "Fuck that shit bro, we're going bowling." Friend doesn't wanna approach 2 cuties with you cause he's a pussy? Go approach and bring them over to introduce him anyway. One way or another you have to make this life enjoyable and fun FOR YOU. Stop giving a fuck about others intentions and start carrying out your own wants and desires. Others will follow and want to follow. I promise you'll be happier and as a bonus, people will respect you MORE for it. It is your mother-fucking job to get out of life what you want from it. Act like a king and go for it.

3. Be bold, confident, and cocky

Is this really all that hard? Hell no.. and it seems fun as fuck. Who else would have the balls to do that? Certainly not the majority of guys in the world who are feminized pussies. I do ridiculous shit like this often, the more bold you are, the more results you get. My personal favorite is making hella witty and sexually charged jokes anytime I'm around a female I'm attracted to. Mixing humor with desire is a strong aphrodisiac for girls. Mix this with calibrated kino and you're golden. Think of it like an exercise in the gym, you're exercising your BOLD muscle. Once it grows, you'll have momentum on your side and others will start to pick up on your IDGAF attitude. Then your social circle builds because you're an interesting person to be around. It only gets better. Before TRP, Even as a complete social-anxiety-ridden mess in social settings, I was confident as fuck in things like video games/chess/music. I would be hilarious over the mic and in-game chats because I was IN MY ELEMENT. I was used to it, it was my domain and I was comfortable. Seek to make social interactions and meeting people your DEFAULT. Make it your element and something that comes naturally and comfortably to you.

4. Take fitness/lifting seriously.

This has been stressed more times in more threads than I can even begin to count. The wholesome, raw confidence, mixed with the discipline of a strict training regime is THE MOST valuable attribute I've gained since I began this journey. I feel like a million bucks in every room I walk into. Rarely is there someone bigger than me, but when I do see someone bigger, I respect them and their dedication. Not jealous at all, glad that they have reached a level I aspire to be on someday. I always make it a point to talk lifting with the biggest dudes at parties and bars. Their eyes light up like fucking christmas because all big dudes love to talk about lifting. Good way to meet alpha buddies too; something the majority of the sub-base here tend to struggle with. Be dedicated as fuck til you reach the point where people move out of your way in heavily crowded areas and you receive the Nod of Acknowledgement everywhere you go.

5. Embrace discomfort.

You have to make the connection in your mind that the things that you don't want to do today are your happiness and joy tomorrow. Still haven't taken that cold shower that is recommended here once a week have you? TRY IT. Set an alarm on your phone for 5 minutes and make a game out of it. Pretend your on fear factor or some shit to make it fun. Free increase of testosterone. Still haven't tried the no electronics in the bedroom rule have you? TRY IT. I'll bet you $5 your sleep quality increases. Still haven't tried the goal of 10 approach-rejections a day before you're allowed to go home have you? TRY IT. I bet you close some numbers and start generating plates faster than you thought. These and many other actions that are recommended here have huge potential and dividends if you would just give them an honest try. Tired after a long day and just want to binge-watch Narcos? No. Fuck that and fuck you. Get off your ass and do one of the above or something you've been "trying" to do but haven't "gotten around to it". Then you can watch an episode of Narcos before bed as a reward for doing something worth a fuck.

6. Women are a lagging indicator

You'll notice none of these points are about women directly. That's because the only failsafe method to approach TRP is to Build it and they will come. SMV Rules all. I'm gonna type that again. SMV RULES ALL Fuck your lazy habits, fuck your endless video games, fuck your blue-pilled friends, fuck your shitty oneitis, fuck your "crippling anxiety", fuck your shitty sense of dress and style, fuck your bad hygiene, fuck your poor choice in foods, fuck your half assed-workouts, fuck your dead-end job, fuck all of that. This is a results driven world. Get it the fuck done! NOW LETS KNOCK THIS MOTHER FUCKER OUTTA THE PARK!

I attribute much of my success to that much needed move to a fresh start. I was able to be exactly who I wanted to and no one could say shit or know my past failures. To be frank, I kind of forgot them myself. Just focused on being the best I could be, now.

[–]El_Shakiel 9 points10 points  (4 children)

Can you elaborate more on that please ? What triggered the actual move ? New job ? How did it go ? What happened ? How did you manage to secure housing ? Did you know anyone there already ? Etc

Thanks in advance

Sure, depression was the biggest trigger. Thought of suicide/close friends dying from fucked up shit like heroin overdose. I went out there and stayed with my mom temporarily for a month in a half while I got a job at the front desk of a gym. I was working on my personal training cert and met a trainer there who was a cool dude and would let me stay in the living room of his 1 bedroom apartment for $400 (not bad at all for living right next to the beach) so I moved out, finished my personal training cert and started training ASAP. Started making good money and me and him moved into a 4 bedroom house for $650 a piece just slightly more inland. This lasted a year before I was offered my current job which is finance and insurance consulting for auto dealerships. Very lucrative if approached the right way.

[–]El_Shakiel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your additional input man. Quite inspiring !

[–]Psychocist 12 points13 points  (1 child)

I'm going through a similar phase. Main thing that triggered me was losing my mum last year, then I broke up with my GF, moved out of my flat, quit my job, sold all my belongings, started working out and am moving to Thailand at end of Oct, freelancing programming and building a software business on the side.

Don't know anybody there and that's exactly how I want it. If you're not happy with your lifestyle, imagine you have nothing.. what would you do? Go fucking do that. Go do what you want and find a way to make it sustainable.

I'd rather go die in a ball of flames than whimpering towards retirement.

[–]leonardo_mac_4 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I lived 3 years in Thailand. Can connect you to some cool folks / give tips. pm me

When I started doing pickup I got good as quickly as I did because I was able to go full tilt when I was traveling out of state every month. It's a common phenomenon that you can get out of your normal comfort zone on vacation or away from your regular social circle.

It sounds a lot like you did the same but in a more permanent way by moving to a new city and starting over. A large step out of your comfort zone and no fear of being juged is a recipe for HUGE self-improvement gains. It's not guaranteed, but it goes a long way towards helping.

I've found that women do it too and cheat like mad on vacation or when they travel for work for the very same reason: no repercussions from their social circle when they're away from prying, judging eyes.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Got to love operation scorched earth.

Been there, 10/10 would do again. Got laid off from a shit job, rode out the recession in college learning math, divorced my bitch of a wife, now I have a great career and a 4.5 year LTR with a smokeshow half my age in the books.

OP has a great fucking post here. If you're not taking action you might as well smoke pot and jerk off.

[–]CarnivOre93 109 points110 points  (10 children)

Real talk. Been on trp for a year. Never had a real job (in relevance to my career been working bullsht jobs since I was 14) I had been on several interview and put in literally hundreds of applications. After trp when I got one interview it resulted in me getting the job.

When I started 6 months ago I had zero hands on experience. I worried they would see this and cut me off. Long story short my supervisor told me he put in for me to get promoted.

[–]whuttupfoo 41 points42 points  (9 children)

I’m the same same way. Pre-TRP I was making $0 broke and unemployed, never had a job. Post-TRP I am making 5 figure deals and don’t have to work a 9-5

[–]Diddlydangerous 4 points5 points  (7 children)

Nice. Matchmaker? Headhunter?

[–]D0initbig 14 points15 points  (6 children)

Selling used Hondas? Lol 5 figure deals who gives a fuck...not hating.. good for him for making progress, just a funny way to phrase that.

[–]Sativa_Dreams 16 points17 points  (5 children)

See, I'm kind of the opposite.... Like obviously 5 figures isn't much in this day and age, its pretty much low-middle class, but how do you go from making nothing to making a livable income just from "TRP" ?

Example, I'm a slave with no college education bouncing from job to job trying to find a career path that doesn't make me hate my life, barely making enough to survive and TRP has changed none of that. Ofc its helped me get fit and pick up women and such but i just don't get the correlation.

Did he go to school? Did he start dealing drugs? Like TF are you talking about, a subreddit forum on the internet got you from the street to making enough that you don't have to work a 9 to 5

[–]An_All-Beef_Engineer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

but i just don't get the correlation.

Ofc its helped me get fit and pick up women...

The theory applies to jobs/careers/entrepeneurship. You limit the scope to fitness and women, your results will be limited to fitness and women.

[–]Hung_Chad 12 points13 points  (0 children)

TRP is about seeing reality and getting your shit together. If you're not experiencing benefits in areas other than picking up women, you're doing it wrong. Be honest with yourself about where you currently are. Set a reasonable life goal. Figure out how to achieve that goal, then do the work. It applies to everything.

[–]thetotalpackage7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enthusiasm is the highest paid quality on earth. If you are enthusiastic and have half a brain, you can make a fortune in sales...but as Jim Rome said, "Don't major in minor things." Make sure it's a sales job with high earning potential.

Insurance sales is a great example. No college degree required, an easy licensing exam to pass and the opportunity to make hundreds of thousands of dollars. Realtor and mortgage broker are another two good examples.

Do most people make that much? Nope. But most people are lazy, stupid morons. If you have the hunger and drive...its there for the taking. If others are doing it...why can't you?

Thanks bro! I have a few more ideas, stay tuned :)

Are you West coast or East coast broham?

    [–]scrodzilla 57 points58 points  (2 children)

Killer work my dude. I loved the section on using free time learning new skills and working out instead of wasting time with drugs and video games like every other loser out there.

Edit: I can't tell you how many women have said that every other guy they meet out there just wastes every second of his life, just waiting it out instead of improving himself. Stand out!!

    [–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Make sure you budget some unstructured time. It's all leaning to play an instrument, reading stoic authors, and working out. If a woman harps on you for playing video games then she's posting yellow flag behavior. She's not going to get easier with a ring, baby and mortgage.

    [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This exactly, we can do that later when our bodies have lost the ability to be killing it and having fun! Stand out and get to experience youth in its fullest capacity.

    [–]TearsOfChildren 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Working out will fix majority of problems men have. I subbed here to laugh at the absolutely ridiculous posts from douche bags but there is some good advice in the cracks.

Working out and getting into shape changes every single aspect of how you view yourself and how others view you. If you're skinny and frail and you put on 20-30 pounds of pure muscle, you'll feel like a god and that will change your personality and confidence. If you lose 100 pounds, same thing.

    [–][deleted] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Nice work OP. You are the AntiMGTOW who accepts things for the way they are and made difficult personal change to succeed

    [–]CarnivOre93 17 points18 points  (0 children)

    Incredible transformation brother!! Looking thicc!

    [–]Jack50517 36 points37 points  (1 child)

First post I've read on here. Got to say it's a tremendous one at that.

Sort by top of all time. You're in for a treat.

    [–]thesmithofwords 12 points13 points  (9 children)

Great post, I learned alot. I am still on the road, but I'm down to 225lbs from ~275 and I'm working on my social skills. I'm lucky though I am funny and instinctively do the touchy, cocky thing with women which I surmise is the only reason I have gotten any in the past. Still could use improvement though.

    [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Humor is huge. Once your lean you're gonna slay hard my man. Stay dedicated

    [–]zayooo 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Hey, willing to drop some small tips on your weight loss? I have shittons of problems with it and one man cant be fat his whole life.

    [–]senpaicreampie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything in dieting is easier said than done. I recommend baby steps if you can't handle a huge dietary change. Also, mentally establish the diet for the rest of your life, or you won't maintain your weight.

I'm no expert but I'm in school for dietetics. You're going to have to avoid all junk food. It's empty calories, meaning it's absorbed more quickly and has no where to go. You want to eat nutrient dense foods, like raw vegetables. The fiber and vitamins slow down the digestion and absorbtion of calories, and it makes you feel more full. Despite this, it comes down to calories in vs calories out, so you need to eat fewer calories, more nutrients, and exercise more.

There are no excuses to being overweight. Your body doesn't hate you. Your genetics are not responsible. Calories don't materialize out of nowhere. This may sound insulting but this is good news for you. You're in control.

Also try intermittent fasting. PM me if you really want to get into it. I know about some of the popular fad diets and what's practical among them

    [–]thesmithofwords 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was lucky in that I drank a good bit of my calories in the form of juice, milk, beer and pop. So cutting all that out and drinking water and diet pop reduced my calorie intake by about 1200 per day (also mostly cut out junk food). The reason I say that is lucky is that I can eat about the same amount of food as always and have a calorie deficit, so I wasnt constantly hungry as so many of my calories came from drinks.

If you are like me its simple, just cut out drinks with high calories. If you eat most of your calories it will be a bit harder, find out your TDEE and eat about 500-1000 below that depending on how agressive you want to be (i eat about 800 less and am losing 2-3 lbs a week). Count those calories, I found success by having two 1000 calorie meals a day to reach my goal.

Id also reccomend doing some sort of regulsr excercise. I used the couch to 5k running app, not only did it burn calories but I also feel alot better since doing it.

TL:DR: eat less calories than your TDEE.

    [–]slickdevil1 8 points9 points  (3 children)

OMAD (one meal a day) is simple as hell. Just couple OMAD with 150g protein a day and lifting 3x a week (I recommend Phraks Greyskull LP for beginners) and you will see improvements quite fast. Takes a week or two to get used to OMAD but it works wonderfully. Basically it's intermittent fasting, but even more simple.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

5x5 SL or bust for beginners IMO.

    [–]slickdevil1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I think Greyskull LP is better. And even that is far from perfect. But it's still simple enough and you'll make fast strength gains. Only thing I'd add are some facepulls and it's very balanced

    [–]senpaicreampie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will always need improvement. There's always room for it. For you. For me. For TRP. For the blue pill.

    [–]Work_In_Progress92 13 points14 points  (0 children)

    Great transformation brother.

And you get the upvote not only for great content here, but a Wolf of Wall Street video too? Take all my money.

    [–]TheGreat666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Beautifully written. I just happen to stumble upon this subreddit (i'm not much of a redditor to be honest, i more use it to promote my music and such) but I have to say, I've been on the red pill path without even knowing there was a name for it for about a year now. I gotta say, everything you've said in your post is spot on accurate and it's simply the transition from boyhood to manhood. You just gotta do it, fuck all else, fuck insecurities and worries and go out there and tackle that shit! Whatever you want, you go get it. Through discipline, i get things done. Good job brother, carry on your merry way.

    [–]ObjectiveBuffoon 63 points64 points  (8 children)

Something I'd like to add is the MGTOW phase. Plenty of people with no success with women are better off trying to forget about that and focusing on yourself first. You can't get women without improving yourself, and it's often better to do them more one-at-a-time. Great post btw.

    [–][deleted] 74 points75 points  (4 children)

It's not MGTOW, it's Monk Mode; you stop investing time in pursuing women and focus on yourself. You can't build a good body, rework your wardrobe and AMOG just because you had an epiphany.

Monk mode can include focusing on chatting people up to get better at social skills, but you should delete dating apps, when you go out with Bros you're genuinely just looking to hang out with them, etc.

It takes a decent amount of time to spin 4-5 plates. Sure it's nice to use an app to meet a chick and bang her on the same day, but some people are better served by reading a book for an hour before bed and getting a full 8.

Just had a bad break up? Your probably going to want to fuck around a bit. After a couple of months of that go monk mode and establish a new you absent your former SO.

    [–]ObjectiveBuffoon 15 points16 points  (1 child)

You're right, monk mode is the correct term, but I think of it as a temporary MGTOW -- especially for those who don't fully commit.

    [–]p3n1x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MGTOW is a 'temper tantrum'. It is purple at its best.

especially for those who don't fully commit.

"I want to put half of my ass into the transformation, I want easy mode", delusional fairy-tale of the perfect purple people.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Any tips for becoming AMOG? I am pretty good on most of the RP values, but don't have many friends and definitely am not the AMOG in the group's I want to be.

    [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you need more confidence and that only comes from achievement. Progress in the gym and your carriage will change and people will treat you with respect. Be a leader at work and get used to subordinates being deferential. Speak in very high level terms of what you want, check out the first two blogs. I remember getting pissed when my boss would say were doing something because 'its the right thing to do' but to be honest, people respond to vague statements better than specifics. They fill in the vague statements with what they think the answer is, but give them specifics and they will argue.

    [–]macaroon18 8 points9 points  (2 children)

You might find it easier and more fun to play with women (and people in general) if you just forget about 'success' and 'getting'

    [–]ObjectiveBuffoon 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Agreed but not always easy to do.

    [–]p3n1x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Nothing worth doing is "easy".

    [–]2awalt_cupcake 1 point2 points  (1 child)

    [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hah, I meant from 18-23 I largely just squandered my time.

    [–]marplaneit 23 points24 points  (6 children)

After all this years (Mostly 4) in the sub, and the journey from being a virgin skinny nerd on college to a succesful med student with a body, and a bussines. My main lesson is that you can't fake confidence. Sorry. You may try, but the first thing that goes wrong and the facades goes with it. The only way to not give a fuck, irradiate confidence and being a cocky asshole is to have past merits. It you have 6 pack abs, good hobbies and a great carreer (or bussines) you won't give a single fuck about what anybody says, you are a head of 95% of the population. (If you are young).

    [–]Psychocist 11 points12 points  (4 children)

The only way to not give a fuck, irradiate confidence and being a cocky asshole is to have past merits.

    Wrong.

You've just added a bunch of conditions to your confidence and your DNGAF attitude and, therefore, turned it into a conditional state.

Who gives a flying fuck about your abs, your hobbies, your career, or how far ahead you are (based on some random 'success' metric that society handed to you)?

Confidence is to trust yourself. DNGAF is something entirely different. None of us need anything but food in our stomach and a roof over our head to feel good.

    [–][deleted]  (3 children)

      [–]Psychocist 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Solid post bro. At this moment comments are lacking. I didn't found any similar to "But but video games and pot are okay in moderation dude if you can't play and just stop it is your problem but don't project it over us all I have a 33 level paladin in RuneScape smoke weed 3 times a week eat at Mickey D and I still can get pussay"

You've turned into Brucie from GTA IV haha

      [–]acetylcysteine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I respect that you actually posted a progress picture like so few do here.

      [–]LosBuratnos 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I'd also add that, if you are hoping to implement these all, get ready for the world to resist. Indeed, you will face challenge in almost every action of yours that goes beyond the normie agenda.

Small story: I'm quite new to TRP but I always had a fool mouth. I was staying in a hostel for a few days while travelling to a different city. Hostel was full of young millennials, mostly women, and one of them stood out. She was brazilian, average looking, clearly in her 30s (while everyone was in the 20s), she was swimming in the attention of 20 year olds who were there. Once we were sitting together, 2 guys, me and her, and they were complimenting her looks and she wondered if they know how old she was. Guys said something between 20 and 30 and well... I said 42 jokingly.

10 minutes later she told EVERYONE in the hostel that I RUINED EVERYTHING, she specifically ignored me while asking everyone to go out, and the people were like 'wtf did you do dude?'. All I had was to laugh. Actually had nice banter with other people while she was still there.

Moral is, any deviation may cause a serious shitstorm on you. If I said that she looked 20 (not true) I'd be praised. Not the other way around. Countless more examples of this. Be prepared.

Good example of holding frame and not giving a pussy pass too.

      [–]Kampizi 3 points4 points  (2 children)

You say about quitting weed, do you think that is a big motivation killer? I smoke a lot and am lazy. When I quit smoking for 4 months I was bored and had some depression, or get anxious

Video games takes care of that boredom, so does the weeds

Are you saying with these habit changes, the anxiety and Boredom subsides?

Edit: I was in super good shape when I quit for 4 months was gyming twice a day

      [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Get rid of both video games and weed. Use your time for something worth a fuck. There are endless things you can do more beneficial than them. Take it from someone who wasted 5 years of his life in that same cycle.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just cut weed right down (went dankrupt) and it's like 6 hours just got added to my day. Admittedly it does make workouts easier, as well as regulating my moods and staying motivated, but eventually those things will evolve out of your brain chemistry. My advice is use it as a crutch for now, inasmuch as you find it motivating, but always be consciously reducing your usage and replacing with success habits. Maybe after you're where you want to be you'll continue to use recreationally, maybe not. The key is gradual changes, like OP said, and not hiding from the truth.

I got my dream job. It took me a few months of searching and jumping through hoops, but I work for the most exclusive credit card in the world, make decent money, great benefits, and I work from my front room in lovely Buffalo, NY. I got rid of my goddamn ex. Now I must lift. Thank you, TRP. You made me realize that you must SUFFER to have anything nice, and do it with a cocky, self-possessed, dickhead, Roosh-looking smirk on your face.

      fuck your "crippling anxiety"

Man, the people in this site who are self-diagnosed with "crippling anxiety", procrastination and "clinical depression" get on my nerves sometimes. Most of them are afraid to do anything new and are just fucking laaaaaaaaaaazy.

As someone at pretty much your starting weight can you share how long it took you to make gains and what kind of diet you followed.

      [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 6 points7 points  (3 children)

The first year I really was only into calisthenics (going from 120-130). Body weight stuff that gave me a lean look and a base to work with when I actually started lifting. It will be 2 years in October that I have been lifting. The first year of lifting and beginner gains was amazing for me (going from 130-165), the last year I have buckled down on form and increased my reps and volume for my workouts (going from 165-180) as well as eating more to hit my goal of 190 lean. I eat 2 raw eggs every morning with a small bowl of organic healthy cereal with almond milk. Lunch meals vary due to work but I try to always find meals with good amounts of meat and moderate carbs. Dinner is always a protein shake with almond milk, peanut butter, protein, banana or berries, and chia seeds and a meat and carb. Always more meat than carb. For example, tonight it was three 1/4 lb ground beef patties with seasoning and BBQ sauce, a cup of brown rice, and a few green beans.

I remember getting on a skype call with GLO after my 1 year of calisthenics as I planned to start lifting and he told me eat meat. So that's exactly what I did, I went to costco, bought a membership, and bought fuck tons of meat. Burgers, chicken breast, brats, steaks, halibut, salmon, eggs. I stocked up on protein and made my main carb intake brown rice while always attempting to eat more meat than rice. That's the best way I can put it in the simplest terms. Always protein shakes with my meal after every workout as well (I used whole milk at the time).

Egg beaters are actually pasteurized so you can drink them without cooking. Great for a quick protein rich breakfast that has zero carbs or fats. I couple 10oz of egg beaters with 2 shelled boiled eggs and that +50 g of protein right there.

        [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight, will keep that in mind.

        [–]OCD_Orca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome shit. Lately my 4-day workouts have been half-ass or non-existent. This was the kick I needed. I'm going to drop down to 3 days a week for a month and get my form and dedication in order before moving up again.

It makes no difference to pay attention to a deficit you cannot change. No matter what, focus on being the best you can be. If you have an ugly face, dress superb with a perfect haircut. If you're short, own it and be jacked as fuck. Never focus on the things you cannot change. Damage control. Fix what you can.

        [–]peterforallmankind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Anecdotal, my cousin is 5'7 in shoes and went bald at 29! He's been jacked since day one (and at 47 has been jacked for 30 years) and shaved his head. He pulled major puss for years and his wife of many years is both a sweetheart AND ten years his junior.

        [–]relativebeingused 19 points20 points  (3 children)

Wait, this is TRP right? Just be good looking? No! Wtf guys? Sigh, rant time.

So, I hate to say it but heroin makes you "cool." It ruins your brain and life, but it makes you "cool."

It makes you not give a fuck in very important ways and that not-giving-a-fuck looks so much like confidence that it eventually becomes confidence. Confidence and self-hatred, but confidence none the less.

Plus, who is more screwed up on average than really, really hot girls, for whom there isn't even a hint that they have any value beyond maintaining their rapidly peaking and then diminishing hotness?

Not from their culture, not from their peers, not even from their parents, especially mom who is trying to relive her glory days vicariously and understands the sort of value her daughter has in this world only now that it's too late for her and she lives what she lost every day.

Hot, unhealthy girls seek out dysfunction, and there are a lot more tragically unhealthy ones than pseudo-healthy ones (everyone's crazy somehow, but women more so).

Anyway, a lot of them turn to drugs too. They also don't think they deserve better so are they gonna go for another successful, dedicated happy person that they know is doomed to fail and just be another plate for a while or chase after some marginally successful, equally miserable person who puts on a good show that won't last and they can bring each other down together?

I mean, they're probably not even that much hotter and even that has more to do with your own entitlement issues. But, any actual measurable difference in hotness is probably because they have so little else going for them that they have to spend way more time and energy trying to be as hot as possible.

That little extra edge makes them stand out more on the most superficial level (and I'm not bashing the superficial level either it's something too). Whether it's their hair, style (in so many different ways), make up, tattoos, working out for that perfect figure, even practicing more and more on their own seduction skills and manipulating people so their entire persona is optimized to not just look hot but to be able to act sexy in a convincing way when an opportunity presents itself.

Whatever, the point is, if you think looks matter that much, then they do, bitches is crazy, and only do drugs in moderation, or, failing that, none at all.

        [–]Mr-Ed209 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Drugs are weird social proof to women, it's one of those things that flies in the face of conventional wisdom and rational behavior. I kind of get it, when you try and understand women that bit more. They crave a man who opens them to new experiences and despise guys who can't or haven't 'done as much' as they have.

In highschool the good girls were impressed by the guys who smoked and drank on weekends. Enter your 20s and it becomes late night parties railing a line of cocaine in front girls. Sure the party girls will stoop to desperate levels for some free seratonin. But even the goody two shoes women seem to be attracted to the aura of drugs and misbehavior.

        [–]Gallobrax 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you are tapping into a substantial insight. I had never thought of it this way.

        [–]squarehead93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Women mature faster than men. I think this is why you see so many women in their 20s or even their late teens with guys 3-5 years older, or more. And the guys that do have the most success with girls their age in high school tend to be the ones that were partying hard before anyone else, like you said.

I think a lot of TRP is made up of dudes who were introverted in their teens and early 20s. Girls in general are much more social, and thus get exposed to a lot more at an early age. Not to mention, being a girl gives you instant value at a party. People will offer you free drinks and drugs, not to mention dick. It's just a lot easier to have those experiences. My best guess from an evo psych perspective is that a dude who's more sheltered and hasn't seen some much of the world than his partner won't be able to look after her as much.

I think girls are attracted to guys who do drugs because it is an instant indicator of IDGAF. You're flaunting possession of an illegal substance. Plus, drugs alter your mind. It can take a certain degree of frame to remain cool while tripping balls or even while you're baked. And above all, drugs are fun, and girls in their teens and 20s just wanna have fun. If you show up to a party with even just a bit of weed to share, you instantly have some status, as opposed to being just another sausage among many

        [–]SSJ_Trunks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have an ugly face, try growing a beard. Keep it trimmed or like a scruff. It can make a HUGE difference for some guys.

awesome post, but please do not post infield videos. most of them are fake as shit, and most are used to promote PUA/"learn to be a man" camps. and most of those are fake as shit... they get a bunch of betas to pay a couple thousand dollars for a weekend, sit in a conference room during the day talking about how to talk to women, and then get the guys to go out and "hit on women." the attendee guys don't know it but the women are doing paid gigs to show up at those bars and flirt with the guys.

Where RP breaks down for me is the work place.

It's not conducive to act like a loose cannon. Its not right to just put yohr head down and make your boss a fuck ton of money. Hard balance.

Fantastic post my man. Saved this one for a reminder if I feel I'm stagnating.

        [–]luisespanola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid post bro! Definitely agree with everything you said, and I especially resonate with "built it and they will come."

We have quite a similar past in terms of being consumed by video games, having little to no social life (was shy as hell), and getting trapped with oneitis. The desire for change hit when I had enough of the agony and disappointment that was brought by being a lazy laggard compared to my buddies. Upon realizing that, there was nowhere else to go but up, so I went hard in the gym, buried myself in self-help books, crashed and burned countless times in bars/clubs, and the rest is history.

Having my then-beta back against the wall was the best thing that happened to me. The more I developed myself, the higher quality and quantity plates I got. Now, my back is swole.

I learned that getting laid is a function of self-improvement, and TRP is the place to be to get shit done.

        [–]ernestodebesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why the fook the ultimate goal of some poeple is to get as big as possible/get as big muscles? What purpose does it serve (except for looking outrageous once you pass a certain point) ? I mean, I understand doing some bodybuilding, it's all cool. I do it too. At some point though, you start looking really weird. And what purpose does it serve to become as big as possible? There is a world of sports out there where you can play, compete with others, tons of fascinating stuff to do with your body and movement. But no, my main goal is to become as big as I can get in life. wtf. Why ? How does it make you feel superior?

guys, this video made me reevaluate my life, i recommend watching this skip to 3:10, the thing is we can become and reach whatever the fuck we want, all we have to do is go after it, that's all it takes.. and after watching that video.. i realize i didn't want it bad enough i just kinda wanted it.. but no more.. that's all it is if we really want to change bad enough we will.

        [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

        Hahaha i'm like that now.

Quit weed for 3 months when i broke up with my ex, started smoking again about a week ago, picking up everyday. I'm depressed everyday, ex told me she was seeing someone else which made it harder for me, have nobody too reach out to, i'm good at photography (only thing that i'm passionate about) but it's hard too get anywhere with it.. i don't really know how too sell myself due to only having instagram and not having a network.

I'm 25 next year nigga and i feel like i have the mentality of a 60 year old.

I don't even want too lift though, i've been hanging with someone recently and he's into bmx and i have a bike and they said they'd fix it up for me so i can go ride with them. So hopefully i can get more into bmx soon.

been saying i need too get my shit together since i dropped uni, still fucking up lol.

I'm 26 now and in a consulting job where it's completely residual income based. The more accounts we generate selling our products the more we make. Have you considered sales at all? It's a good transitional job that generates great people skills. I got my cert and did Personal Training as soon as I moved (which is actually pretty difficult sales when your selling $1500 packages)

        [–]norcalguy510 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Killer gainz, did it take you 3 yeara to get to 180 lbs as well?

        [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that pic was my first time at 180 after a bulk, my goal is 190 lean. 1-2 more years and I'll be there.

        [–]nowboarding 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Now that you've accomplished so much, what's next for you? Where do you take it from here? New goals and plans for example?

        [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still in the mindset of building a stronger social circle. I know I'm not getting married or having kids so I need to build strong connections while I'm still young.

Still working on my 190 lean goal I originally got from GLO on a skype call 2 years ago.

I'm saving up enough money to go on a two month trip to travel much of Europe with a buddy of mine who has done it once before and had a blast.

I have 2 business plans that should be very lucrative. I'm developing them for when I have a bit more free-time from my current gig (I'm only a year into it).

I also have plans to pick up BJJ to learn how to defend myself as an increased boost of confidence and being able to handle situations out there.

End game I want to learn a new language and move to another country for a few years. Haven't decided which one yet.

        [–]11-Eleven-11 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Out of curiosity. A year ago I started lifting weighing 135. Now I'm 155. How long did it take you to put on 60 lbs? I was able to only put on 20 lbs in 9 months.

        [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first year of calisthenics 120-130. 2nd year of lifting 130-165. and this last year 165-180 lbs.

It's all about dedication and making sure you're doing enough volume. My main metric since I'm on a 6 day split is to make sure I'm sore for 2 days after each workout per that muscle.

        [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I've done well on many of the points. But one thing I have had a hard time raising is my social status. I have an IT job and I can see people instantly get disinterested when they ask what I do for work and I don't answer VP/CEO (or other high level job). Never mind that I make 4-5x of my past few girlfriends, they somehow thing they deserve Senior Management.

Any tips on becoming top tier social status?

        [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd start by not giving a fuck what they think of your job. If they are disinterested right away because you say IT, why the fuck would you want to know them anyway?

Have something more interesting to talk about than your job would be another one. What hobbies are you participating in that don't involve a computer?

        [–]Futon_Rasenshuriken 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If I may ask, what job did you work after the food industry job when you arrived at your new home?

First pic and second pic are nearly the same. Just body positioning, lighting, tan, etc.

Pretty standard stuff photography wise. Definately not the difference between 120 and 180 lbs. Pics look like they were taken fairly close together in terms of where in the fitness process the individual was, based in availabke evidence.

        [–]PrimarisMarine -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

ITT: Insecure betas that thinks you have to waste your life away at a gym to maintain a fit body to get chicks.

        [–]Endorsed ContributorMetalgear222[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

True but being better than the competition does help. The amount of girls that grab my arms while I'm railing them and say something like "I love how big and veiny you are" or something about my body is pretty often.

        [–]aaasssaaa11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

basically: lift weights and you'll feel better about yourself lol
