Building PowerLet Go (self.TheRedPill)

submitted by ubermensch100

It's very easy to fall into the trap of negative thinking. This corner of the internet is particularly susceptible to this, with the anger phase, among other things. If you haven't read "The Power of Now", then you really should try to ASAP. Every redpill man, especially those in the anger phase, should view this book as required reading. Tolle (the author) describes the "pain body" that we all carry around. The pain body is all the negative energy and emotions in our body.

Reading the book gave me many moments of peace, but I still wasn't doing very well. I've come to realize that the pain body is extremely sinister. It is a low lying chronic pain, sometimes almost invisible, lying just beneath the surface. It is like a small anchor. You're swimming, and sometimes you can feel the anchor holding you back, and other times you believe that you are still moving at full speed.

This chronic, low lying pain can even disguise itself as pleasure occasionally. Many of us are closeted masochists. We enjoying reading feminist articles and getting more and more outraged. We enjoy getting into heated arguments with people who disagree with our views. We talk about women in very hateful, bitter tones - rationalizing it by saying that this is a place to vent and that we are trying to convert blue pill men. Hatred, anger, and bitterness can be very powerful energies. These energies can sometimes even lead us to better ourselves. If you depend on such energies for too long, however, self destruction is the most likely outcome.

This chronic, life destroying pain contrasts with good pain, which I call "Wake the Fuck Up!" pain. This pain is acute - you feel it right away, and it forces you to go to a higher level. This pain is the intense sensation of approach anxiety, the pain in your muscles during a workout, the shock upon stepping into a cold shower, the difficulty concentrating in meditation. This pain is a crossroads - you can either stay the same or let yourself go beyond the pain. This pain is honest - it tells you where you're at. This pain cleanses the mind.

Don't get me wrong, the world is a very fucked up place. Cynicism is filled with truth. Dwelling on these facts with anger and bitterness only brings one down though. Delving deeper into hatred of women, society, etc. will only cause you pain. The quote "Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die" rings true.

You have to do your best to release your negativity, hatred, anger, and bitterness. Drop them like a hot potato. Of course, this is easier said than done, but doing it will fill you with a wellspring of joy. Especially to those of you younger than 25, my advice would be to get off reddit ASAP. I started reading TRP at 16 and became a cynical, bitter woman hater when I had never even flirted with a woman. 30 minutes spent studying even a "useless" subject I hated was far more beneficial to me than hours upon hours of reading reddit. One approach for me was worth more than a week worth of "theory" reading. There is a lot of good advice here, but it is very easy for young people to become attracted to the extreme and radical ideologies. At such a young age, it's better to experience this stuff for yourself first anyway. Don't waste your youthful time and energy absorbing negativity. Go out and live. Be a kid, enjoy your youth, work on yourself. Don't get cynical early. Sure, the knowledge can be useful, but innocence is golden, and once lost, can never be returned.

I have started consciously trying to weed useless negativity out of my life and become more positive and grounded. Whenever I find myself getting angry over the state of the world or a reddit post or anything like that, I immediately stop what I'm doing and change my environment. I step outside, sit in my rocking chair, and enjoy the beautiful summer weather. I play some piano. I go swimming. I workout. Basically, anything that will take me out of my damn head and is a fun, useful thing to do. Every evening I talk a long walk. My neighborhood is scenic, and there are many nature parks close by. The summer weather here is perfect, the wildlife vibrant. I walk among blooming flowers, singing birds, and chirping crickets. The air is fresh, the place is quiet, and the sunset is gorgeous. It's very hard to stay negative surrounded by such things. Walking puts me in a trance like state, and I am always refreshed afterwards.

I try to see the good in other people. I am kind and considerate to everyone unless given a reason not to be. I try to help people in small ways every day. That could be holding the door for someone, picking up garbage, or even just giving a friendly greeting. Treating people genuinely really does work. It helps make them feel better, but it really makes you feel better. There is a lightness and energy that is added to you. Focus on making yourself the best person you can possibly be, and your influence will reach out and touch many.

Sexual strategy is amoral. Human happiness is not. I get that we all want to be logical here. The idea of virtue and goodness leading to happiness is a recurring theme found in almost everything. Since this is the case, there must be something to it. It may be pseudo science, but logic can't do it all.

Most of us are capable of great good, and great evil. Sometimes a criminal saves lives at the cost of their own. A good person could become a rapist and murderer if placed in Nazi Germany, the imperial army, etc. There is an old native American story which was told to children. The story says that there are two wolves within us, and whichever wolf you feed is the one which will grow stronger. Don't succumb to the dark side - it will rarely if ever make you happy.

Good post mate. It fits me perfectly..Still holding some anger from my past experiences.. trying to let go.

[–]OfficerWade 31 points32 points  (3 children)

You gotta feel it to heal it..

[–]PM_Me_OK 5 points6 points  (1 child)

This is not always true, and if so, needs a better explanation than that so someone doesnt use the advice destructively.

[–]OfficerWade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m just saying if you identity the feeling, anger, frustration, depression, so that dis-ease then you can immediately say I’m just stuck in the matrix and the only way out is through giving up your feeling. The only way to do that is to FEEL it. Otherwise, you get guys who grow up believing “I am an angry person” or “she’s depressed” obviously people feel there feelings but it doesn’t change their being.

You’re being is your so called self worth, your self esteem. These things can come with a price if you say you will be angry if you don’t get a raise, or the relationship, or anything that causes you to feel upset. That’s why Jesus told us to sell our valuables and come with him.

[–]Nonstopas 88 points89 points  (4 children)

There are points where i wish i didn't discover this web the way i did. I mean at a point when you're in your late teens - early twenties, and you read these posts and articles, you think that you are better than those blue-pilled men that we all make fun of. But in reality, you are not doing any approaches, you are not spinning plates. You are just reading and reading and constantly overthinking yourself without taking action. This is also one of those phases no one talks about. As soon as you swallow the pill, just leave the internet and go on approaching with just simple phrases at first i guess. What this or any other site and book doesn't teach you is game and how to deal with your anxieties face to face.

Good post nonetheless.

[–]AnInstant 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was one of those guys. TRP became toxic for me. Irony is - the worse state you're in, the stronger poison TRP becomes. It's like revenge porn for thirsty guys.

Now I'm few years older. I learned to filter informations. I rarely even visit TRP. So I advice this to every other new guy (or maybe even girl?) here - read sidebar. Read value posts. And then just live your life implementing knowledge you get.

My life turned 180 degrees. I'm successful, in work, with girls, with people overall. I'm live proof TRP works if you really know what's this about. If you come here for porn... You will never be happy.

You don't need the signs if you already know the road. Stop looking for them. Just drive.

[–]ubermensch100[S] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Yup. All the reading in the world can't make you good at game.

[–]fblackstone 71 points72 points  (6 children)

Stop trying to control everything and just let go. Just let go.

-Tyler Durden

[–]Wolveryn 14 points15 points  (2 children)

To be fair... he let go of the steering wheel. I mean if you don’t mind a high risk of permanent brain damage, spine break, or broken/severed limbs or even death... by all means!!

[–]_JustASnowFlake_ 10 points11 points  (1 child)

A story I was told:

An American woman went to Australia for a holiday and took a ride in a Jeep with one of the locals through the bush. They were discussing about God and trusting him where the driver then promptly let go of the steering wheel.

The car continued to turn and drive on the path as if he was still driving it.

The American was amazed and returned home enlightened. After telling her friends the tale she tried to do it her self and ended up crashing and dying on the highway.

What she didn't know is that some of the bush roads in Australia are like railway tracks... 4x4 tracks. They turn the wheels steering the car as you travel along. Not by design, but by continuous usage the wheels dig up a long ditch to hold the wheels.

The lesson I learnt from that is: Location location location. Or "depends on the situation".

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

True lesson: Drive Safely

[–]Pezotecom 6 points7 points  (1 child)

So you let go, and everything gets clear... and that makes you want to get back to controlling things.

[–]PM_Me_OK 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It really doesn't. It makes you want to stay in that 'let go' perception but since you've been doing the opposite your whole life its hard to stay in that state of mind so it requires everyday practice (ie. Meditation) to stay there. Let go of expectations and desires. You can still do things you want, but dont let the results, the oucomes, effect how you feel. When you do good you feel good but when you do bad you feel bad. Dont be outcome dependent. Just let go and 'Be.' Run on your senses instead of thoughts more often. Cut out the mind chatter and rumination. When you let go properly, you can feel an amazing sense of peace and happiness just for being alive. Dont let any stressors plague how you feel. Enjoy the moment, be in the here and now.

[–]eaus1807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way it's said is perfect

[–]uwey 22 points23 points  (4 children)

I suggest two book to help remedy the pain of “the great unknown” of meaning of life.

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind.

Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies.

It tells you why people gossip. Why law of power exist. (Sort of, it concur but neither it reveal nor deny)

Watch documentary SPIN and FEED. You will learn where true power is in your mouth, what you say, how you present it. People often never get a chance to fail because they didn’t make plan, it is the human strategy makes you the ultimate contender for your game, life or sexual.

Henry Kissinger is the most interesting political figure in recent history. Perfect example of all category of red pill and power law. Study him and you will find why he is not dead is a miracle.

Study people is probably most helpful for me, especially current and past political figures.

[–]g10kumar 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Good suggestions, will definitely try to read. I tried searching for the documentary but could only find SPIN. There is not information about FEED or is it one documentary.

[–]g10kumar 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I believe that you replied to my comment, but it has since been deleted or not visible. I am not sure. Can you reply again.

[–]uwey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go read, it helps you more.

Been preaching about reading, doing and learning from mistakes, especially failures that are failed due to plan.

Use other people’s time and how to manipulate people is the key, doing wrong will make you look like condescending bitch and power hungry public enemy, play it right you be politician.

Politician had lots of quality we can learn, they put up great care about their personal image and aura of power.

[–]Wolveryn 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I’ve taken the next few days off from life to read this book based on your review. It’s downloaded, off to the coffee shop in the morning with my kindle...leaving my phone behind. This better be a good book :)

[–]ubermensch100[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's great I hope you get a lot out of it :)

[–]priestfrommiddleeast 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Ah, the "Wake The Fuck Up" pain. Reminds me of the "Fight Club" scene where Tyler pours Lye on the Narrator's hand. The Narrator tries to go to his "peaceful" cave and forget the pain, when Tyler slaps the living faggotness out of his face and says "THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE. THIS IS YOUR PAIN AND YOU'RE WASTING IT!" I read and watched this film countless times but it was only today morning that it actually made a lot of fucking sense.

I love lifting but I suck dick at bench-pressing. Bench-pressing, for me, always ended the moment I felt the "Wake The Fuck Up" pain. I wanted to improve myself by showing up, but I never wanted to go through with it. Today was the day I embraced it. Showered in it. I felt my chest muscles burn like the inner-depths of Valhalla, but I kept going until failure. My god, the burn cool-down right after made my fucking morning.

Solid post brother

[–]EdwardBarnes1913 15 points16 points  (2 children)

I am enjoying the irony of a superb and enhancing Reddit post discouraging Reddit!

It’s my belief and of course part projection that us manospherians were all emotion and no logic as our former selves.

“Hey she’s seems nice, I’ll get to know her slowly and then we’ll fall for each other” (no guile, no tactics, no logic)

= friendzone, friendzone, friendzone, creep, friendzone.

Then we are blown away by even the fact that there “existed” rules. More so how to use them to finally get what we want.

So we unanimously discard emotion and worship logic. Because all our emotion ever got us was the above.

But you think we’ve got it wrong? We shouldn’t kill that joyful and frivolous side completely. I think you’re right. I wrote in my diary just the other day:

What use is logic if we have killed the emotion needed to enjoy it? Surely the reward of a correct and true application of logic should be an enjoyable and free “letting go”?

[–]ubermensch100[S] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Yup. The journey for most is going from mostly emotion to mostly logic, and then finally combining the two. The "canon", or classic works of literature are defined as works that combine both logic and emotion. Finding the balance between the two is the goal.

[–]EdwardBarnes1913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just reread this and it interests me that we are thinking about this yet had very different Red Pill journeys.

I must say I assumed those Red Pilled in their teens had won the lottery but I can now really see how this could curtail your desire to bother.

I had the years of being the naïve nice guy doing everything society and women tell you should arrive at companionship and intimacy and facing the now obvious indifference, rejection and contempt.

I suppose it may make me harsher again on emotion as mine provably got me only failure and Game’s cold logic only success.

[–]Yourlocal_priest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im 19 , and ass soon as i discovered TRP ideology I became super self bitter , due to the truth of the feminist motives. But now i just go on with my life with 0 expectations on any interaction with women, thus granting me a IDGAF attitude and it resulted in having girls , and most of my guy friends fight for my attention , but i dont go around finding any excuse to just walk away completely from anyone , but just to go on with life and literally start a conversation with anyone u find intresting in the room , old, young, guy or girl but if you seem intresting to talk to , trust me dude I'll find something to talk about

[–]WorkThrowAway125 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Power Of Now should definitely be required reading for all new RedPill members!

Also, just a note, maybe you should change your closing comment to read that one wolf is good and one is bad. I think most of us know the saying and we know what you meant but for those who have never heard it, it reads like there are two wolfs and one dies (no good or bad context).

[–]mvnarachi 19 points20 points  (16 children)

Man I needed this post. I am 23 and the last 2 days I sometimes feel like a rational machine. I begin to see the truth in woman and I can even see the truth in my own mother. Awalt.

What I personally can recommend to anyone in the anger phase, if you're open to it, is to establish a connection with god. I try to pray every morning and every evening and it grounds me, it gives me good energy. It doesn't matter which fucking god. Allah, jesus, joseph, shiva whatever. The connection is always there for you to establish. As long as it is positive.

I need to get back to this myself too and hope I can also help others with this message.

Ps: This is not a message to promote god. Do whatever works for you, just my 2 cents. Peace.

[–]Wolveryn -4 points-3 points  (14 children)

Oh so by pray what you really mean is meditate. You don't need a bearded man in the sky to do that. But if you must choose a god, Odin, Thor or the FSM are my Gods of choice... or you can always pray to the Gods old and the new

[–]mvnarachi 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Whatever works for you bro. Good luck.

Btw: FSM has always been my go to god. Putting me on a pedestal, and man they love my meatballs.

[–]Senorbubbz 9 points10 points  (2 children)

“Bearded man in the sky” is such a shitty straw man.

That retarded anti-thiest slogan triggers me every time man.

Fuck

[–]Wolveryn 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Haha it always triggers the god squad ;)

[–]Senorbubbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it does, it’s demeaning.

That’s like getting your dick called “little guy,” it just feels bad.

[–]rty96chr 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Think of religion as a repository of knowledge collected for thousands of years. Think of it as a guide for the human condition. Thing of it as guidelines, groundwork, for morality that a society as a whole can not be expected to reach on its own (seeing how stupid the masses are). Think of it as saving yourself the need to reinvent the wheel during your first 30 years of life. Think of it as a doctrine that fits the stoic virtue ethics of the west. Think of it as a code of honor. It's not opium for the masses, it's guidance for the darkness.

I invite you to find out more about it. Start with Dr. Jordan Peterson's Biblical Series, you can find it on youtube. Or for shorter videos, you can check Sargon's The Seven Deadly Sins of Christianity and Islam, Compared. You'll want to find out more about what Christianity and Catholicism really are, after that.

Sorry if offtopic, but it seemed relevant to me. Those of us who are RP arrive to the conclusion that our parents, grandparents, grandgrandparents, KNEW what they were on to when they obliged and followed tradition undisputed.

[–]Wolveryn 0 points1 point  (7 children)

I was born a catholic, baptised, reconciled and confirmed. I studied the bible as early as I could read, I’ve researched many religions... just as Odin and Thor became mythical tales so too will the flavours of today.

Morality and ethics do not require an old school boogie man book to be upheld.

[–]rty96chr 0 points1 point  (6 children)

You say that even against the evidence of atheism decreasing worldwide and religion growing. Religion is here to stay, whether you like it or not. I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience with religion that made you feel in such way that you left, but remember: the church never imposed anything over you, it was the people who surrounded you who thought they were doing good.

[–]Wolveryn 0 points1 point  (5 children)

If atheism is decreasing it’s because third world populations are booming. If you look at educated countries, the better educated people are the less likely they are to hold on to folklore and mythical tales as fact.

I never really had a bad experience, I just did the research, my curiosity got the better of me... didn’t help reading about all the kiddy fiddlers and other scandles

[–]rty96chr 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Poland is a very well educated catholic country.

Croatia is a very well educated catholic country.
Chile is a very well educated catholic country.
Japan is a very well educated shintoist country.

South Korea is a very well educated catholicism-growing country.

Etc.

[–]Wolveryn -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Poland, Croatia and Chile are all relatively poor with a lot of low education. As for South Korea and Japan I’d like to see the trends... I’d be willing to bet that Catholicism is on the decline

[–]rty96chr 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Here you go:

http://www.catholicdigest.com/news/nationworld/catholicism-flourishing-south-korea/

And let's not even delve into China, which is also a country where christianity is following it's natural path: massive growth.

Poland, Croatia, and Chile are "relatively poor" by whose standards? with per capita GDPs of around 25k yearly, I'd say they live a heck of a good life, and without the bullshit baggage of the west.

[–]Wolveryn 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Do you have numbers that might be less biased? I’ll look it up shortly when I’m back at my office

[–]Chainega 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Amazing post OP, you don't hear this kind of advice here often. 9 times out of 10 you will get a pseudo-alpha neckbeard telling you " just lift and fuck 20 bitches you fucking pusssyyyyy".

Although I feel blessed to find TRP at such a young age (I'm 19) I couldn't agree with you more: TRP, although useful, is filled with hatred and anger that turned into a depression for me. The awful stories that I can find here turned me into a MGTOW, and it sucks. I can still feel the pain and hatred since my very first girlfriend cheated on me. Lifting and swimming had done wonders for me, but it's still very hard to let go.

And I guess it won't be easier if I intoxicate myself with the beliefs that women are evil creatures that will bite off your dick when you least expect it. I guess I'll take a break from Reddit for a while.

[–]ubermensch100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll probably get a lot more done and feel better when you take a break.

[–]Viriathus91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True wisdom thank you my friend!

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let go of the carbs brothers. Just let the carbs go. Zero carb and low carb are the paths to aesthetic enlightenment.

Piano starts.

"When I find myself in times of trouble.. Mother Mary comes to me.. speaking words of wisdom.. cut the carbs. And in my hours of darkness.. she is standing in front of me.. speaking words of wisdom.. cut the carbs."

The path to a more positive mind is in fat and protein.

"Whisper words of wisdom, cut the carbs."

[–]redvelvet_oreo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great post. Sometimes you have to dig deep to find the underlying reason why you are unhappy and change it.

Its easy to get caught up in extreme views or be pissed because someone dosent see things the way you see it. I agree with OP you need to take a step back and occupy your mind with something else. You cant change people and you cant change the world (maybe very incrementally) but you can change your self and your state of being.

Anger phase is necessary but getting out of it is even more important. Its easy to fall back into it. I dont hate women. I accept their nature. That is all. Just dont get married and you have nothing to worry about. When things go sideways you can leave. If you have kids you will have to sort that part out. If your young I would say dont aim for kids until your 35. It takes a long time to build your self to the person you want to be. Relationships and Kids will derail that.

[–]DoubleOsiete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have many of these same beliefs and try to do good often. Sexual strategy is important for the happiness of men and their future success. The anger phase is a bitch, but should you get through it, the enlightenment on the other side is priceless. Its not always negative, it sometimes, just is and you have to know how to deal with it accordingly. You are right about spending to much time reading theory when you could be educating yourself in the multitude of disciplines in life.

[–]freshking56ace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to fight off Darth sidious. Sometimes we just wanna go to the dark side... literally 🙍🏼‍♂️

[–]xcrazytx 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Wow man. You fucking rock. I am new to this and just read some pretty depressing negative shit and i noticed it just made me feel down and angry. This was what I needed to see and just confirmed that life is full of love and beauty. The world is a beautiful place and you are a beautiful person!

[–]ubermensch100[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Thanks bro glad you feel better. I don't know why people read depressing shit when there's so much joy to be had.

[–]RedPilledRoaster 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It's almost like we want to feel angry. Does this have something to do with the pain body you mentioned?

[–]ubermensch100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it's some kind of emotional addiction. People almost enjoy feeling sad sometimes.

[–]throwawy_12262017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pain is undoubtedly part of the process. So is anger. View yourself as being on the journey that you are and you'll be fine.

[–]BurnoutRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joy cannot exist without sorrow. Sometimes to truly appreciate the light, one must live in the dark.

As children we were led down a path away from the virtues of our masculinity. We were subject to various forms of leftist smoothing. Some of this is just due to the nature of the education system. It would be significantly easier to teach classes as a collective group instead of having to address students as individuals at any point.

From elementary school, those of us without proper masculine role models, overbearing mothers, the ones most susceptible to this shit, will go on to highschool, more ill prepared than perhaps any generation of beta male before him.

When youre a nice guy at elementary school, it still seems like a viable strategy. The girls in your class are still giving you time of day. you grew up with them, they're only just beginning to use you for validation. Then you get to highschool and youre basically anonymous. If you do make a name for yourself its most likely as the beta creep who keeps hanging around Sally's locker

It's all a process. When you finally see how weak you were and realize that everyone who led you to believe your "niceness" was a rare and admirable quality was lying to you, naturally you're going to be angry. Youre still young, dont see the whole picture. Children are incredibly solipsistic. Its hard to come to terms with the fact that many people who told you to be a nice guy were just misguided themselves.

Ultimately theres a series of filtration mechanisms in place within society. Shit tests are one such element of the grand filter we all pass through. Yes its wonderful to want all people to be able to pass the tests but we cant all sit at the top of the hierarchy. We can be doing more to equip people with the tools they need to empower themselves from an early age, but jesus christ kids are stupid and impressionable. At the end of the day your best bet is to give them as many chances as you can and hope to god one of them starts applying themselves before they get sucked into a life of excess

[–]assholeofthesky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need the anger to help you improve sometimes though, don't just go all soft sappy because some dude told you to do so

[–]takobozu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy Jesus, Google the author... he's a giant blue pilled pussy.

[–]graceful_aggression 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post resonates so much I'm sure to everyone who read this. I will say though: anger, resentment, and disappointment are very charged emotions that if channelled correctly, can be positive driving forces in your life. Once you have your value framework set in the right place, you'd be surprised that sometimes you understand that your anger is a reflection of how much something means to you. Sometimes it is unjustified, and you re-center yourself. The times it represents something greater, and good, you channel. Example: You are upset that you didn't get that hotshot job even after proving yourself in multiple rounds of hardcore, brutal, interviews? You are upset because you know you are star-talent, and that despite all your efforts of jumping through insane social hierarchy, intellectual hierarchical hoops they didn't give you a shot? That's because you know your self worth, your skill-set, you know you're better than the 200 other guys that came in. You're fuming inside..but you recenter... you remind yourself, "hey, it's their loss. At some point, a firm just as good or if not better will see I'm worth a shot". The anger transforms to persistence and grit and you get there.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What really helped me get past my anger phase was putting myself out there. I saw that there was injustice going on all over the world. I saw how much worse a lot of people had compared to me. It made me realize the everyday problems I face were not a big deal. Once I stopped being so angry and fearful, tackling my problems one step at a time seemed less daunting. I most likely won't solve all of the problems nor will I do a good job, but I'm ok with that.

[–]ubermensch100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. So many people have it worse. We are living in the best time to be alive, in arguably the best country to be alive in. We take it all for granted how good we have it when it could be much, much worse.

[–]SelfTaughtPiano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I'm having trouble applying it but goddamn, the glimpses of freedom. of enlightenment that book offered me were truly something.

[–]banthrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get cynical early. Sure, the knowledge can be useful, but innocence is golden, and once lost, can never be returned.

I'm a 40 year old, had many negative experiences dating (most of them, I mean, an ex is an ex for a reason), but my last LTR was pretty good. I came here and was amused at all the woman-hate that is prevalent here, however I acknowledged that the behavior of women described here was very accurate. I lift a lot, applied dread sparingly, etc. everything was fine and I think never had a better relationship.

Then my social SMV decreased suddenly because several reasons out of my control and then my LTR switched branches in days, exactly like TRP theory predicted.

Very similar things happen to my frinds in a daily basis. Some of them manage to stay married for a long time, and they seem happy about it. They had luck to find a semi-stable women, but for the rest, I'm a very cynic man now, and it's hard for me to get into a LTR again, knowing what even the best, most loving women are capable of. Getting into a LTR is stupid, TRP said, every day I agree more with it.

The more awareness you have, the less apt you are to fall into the #CrazyGap. I try to work on outcome independence. It has helped me to maintain better state-control.

Sometimes we forget we have the power to create our own lifestyle. Now, I'm not saying you can imagine money and suddenly get rich - this isn't magic.

What I mean is we choose our thoughts, emotions, and actions every day. If you choose to stick on a negative vibe, then obviously you're going to find yourself in shitty situations. People won't want to be around you, since you're always a downer. You'll thus become lonely and start eating or drinking to feel better. This will help in the moment, but then you'll gain weight and feel even worse about yourself. Negativity is a vicious cycle.

Whereas if you're in a happy and relaxed mood, people will enjoy your company. They'll invite you to parties and let you know about job opportunities. You'll be introduced to friends of friends and start to develop an abundance mentality. Positivity is also a cycle.

Point being: we create our realities and manifest the situations we deserve. There's nothing "magical" or occult about this fact. Your thoughts and emotions and actions compound over time, and direct you towards the reality you're truthfully aligned with.

A last note: "positivity" doesn't mean being fake happy all the time. I'm not talking about having a goofy smile and being overly optimistic when you talk to people, or any thing like that. A better description of "positivity" is living with a sense of empowerment. You know you're in control of your own destiny, so you don't really have any thing to worry about at the end of the day. You can relax and enjoy the ride, appreciating each moment as it comes.

Looks like you inserted a Luke Cage season 2 reference at the end (two wolves in us). Am I wrong?

[–]UnpluggedNigga 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Why you watching Luke cage bruh 😂

[–]heartbroken_nerd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So that I can spot a reference when I see stumble upon one.

Honestly I like the black fantasy shows (Luke Cage, Black Lightning), a guilty pleasure of mine. It's mostly the music of their soundtracks that draws me in: I will never hear such choice of music anywhere else, I'm from Europe.

Ever heard of Derek Rake’s Shogun Method? It worked for me, I get girls like crazy now. I also read books like ‘The Art of Seduction’ and ‘The 48 laws of Power’ to turn my life around. I used to be a very shy and insecure person, especially around women.

Long story short, get this book: Shogun Method by Derek Rake.

I have it, and I can give it to you for a cheap price. It costs $79 on the website, but I can give you for a cheaper price.

Send me a dm.

Upon reading the book suggestion I immediately download the sample and started reading. I'm looking forward in reading the whole book. Got any other good reads? Thanks in advance.

Bro sweet as your talk is u have to understand that the world is as is - the red pill way, u should or could do as good as a gentlemen to ur fellow men .The principles and theories told here are to be used as a guide, this is essentially worldly wisdom .The fact that people misuse it whether to get sex or any other way is a different story .It is to be internalized - like a very famous rich man said- so that when certain circumstances arrange themselves in some kinda way , whether u are dealing with a man or woman u know its no coincidence its game and u already know what it is so u act accordingly .This is perception, the so called chad or alpha men have embrace this self evident truths due to certain behavioral bias given luckily to them by nature and some through hard living, experiences (nuture )usually due to raw observation and been in the life, many of us have been comfortably raised to not experience the dark arts that's why you are here .Some dude I know would read all this and won't be surprised but smile and nod in agreement. Been nice, friendly, good whatever without this knowledge is blue pill and in my experience brings grief the best human is a wolf when its convenient and can get away with it we are all selfish and selfless it depends . So take heed my friend.
