Can someone explain the D.E.N.N.I.S. system? Is that actually a thing? (self.asktrp)

submitted by [deleted]

As titled. And yes, I know it's from IASIP; I am wanting to know if there is any basis for it or if it is in line with TRP?

Edit: Dear mods, this was an honest question, had no idea it would devolve into parody/satire.

I've been waiting years for this post. It's actually pretty fucking true for the most part, exaggerated slightly but full of RP truths.

D- Demonstrate value (Display high SMV or similar qualities, preselection, being chased rather than chasing)

E - Engage physically (Escalate - also known as where most guys pussy out, alpha fucks)

N - Nurture dependence (Comfort, security to keep her invested)

N - Neglect Emotionally (Dread game, creating scarcity and mystery. These two are push pull)

I - Inspire Hope (Spinning plate with push pull, fucking her good, playing to the fantasy of commitment)

S - Separate entirely (Soft/Hard next/Ghost if they push for commitment, generating new plates, IDGAF mentality, Never giving closure)

Great reply, perhaps put a more in depth post up in TRP

[–]RedSkeller 10 points11 points  (2 children)

I just might, thanks for the idea

[–]dthlist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should, this belongs in the main sub.

[–]FirstnameLastnamePKA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (1 child)

That's an amazing breakdown/structure for TRP thinking. Thank you. Definitely consider making a more in depth post about this if you can. Just think about the implications.

[–]AtlasCuckd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is he gonna do, say no?

If he said no then the answer obviously is no. But the thing is he's not gonna say no, he would never say no. Because of the implication

Excuse me, I dropped this magnum condom for my monster dong.

[–]BeeBopJoe 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Did we all just become psychopaths?

    [–]AlfredKinsey 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Psychopathy is definitely an art worth studying.

    [–]Dr9 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I've met several C level (CFO, CEO, CTO) exec at fortune 50 companies. The common thread is they're all sociopaths. Career before anything, able to switch off emotions (or turn them on) to get what they want. They can lie, and they probably believe it themselves.

When you hear someone makes 30 million dollars a year and wonder 'why would anyone work more than 1 year doing that? I would work 1 year and quit' because the people who get there are wired to hold on like a pitbull with a squeeky toy to their goals.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Can you explain more about them, like little details you noticed in their behavior as opposed to other, non-psychopath people?

Also, anything in their past that nurtured/triggered their way of being?

    [–]Dr9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea how they got there, but every negotiation has to be asymmetrical. They will talk about 'win-win' but at the heart of it, they negotiate very hard for their own money -but are tight-fisted with other's getting a raise.

Can't give too specific details for obvious reasons. But I can recall a CTO (a women) trying to get out basic legal severance - for workers being let go who really didn't make that much money to begin with. The time and energy (wasted) discussing it with the people in the room probably outweighed any potential imaginary savings from this scheme. Someone had to point out it was illegal, and any lawsuit would bad publicly, and expensive to defend. Still she was 'too bad'. Again, her gain was nothing. But it would feel good to rip off some lower paid workers ... because???

    actually another fun story.

Guy is an exec. My then GF worked for him. His step son (say, 7 yrs old) is having a birthday party and has made drawings for t-shirts printed for the kids at his party. He wanted them scanned, she is clueless to all things computer related so she asks me for help. the picture, unfortunately were drawn on like red colored construction paper - and are so light they won't scan for shit.

He makes my GF draw 'sports' pictures - like baseball, basketball (the theme of his party I guess). And use those pictures for the invitations, or t-shirts whatever they were getting these printed on. Not even re-producing the kids pictures, just having an adult (poorly) draw new versions. Because - who cares it's a kids party.

    [–]TRP Vanguardnicethingyoucanthave 10 points11 points  (2 children)

    It's a satire of TRP.

    [–]OrphanedVigilante 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eh... I'd say more of a satire of the PUA community.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Makes sense, thanks.

    [–]OrphanedVigilante 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Wow, this post turned into something from r/IASIP REAL FAST!

    [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Because of the implications you see.

    [–]OrphanedVigilante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I would have gone in and bought a box of magnum condoms, thus demonstrating I have a monster dong.
