Why are most of the muscular men right wing? (self.asktrp)
submitted 5 months ago by 123undeuxtrois123
There must be a good explanation but I don’t know what.
Most powerlifters and bodybuilders are conservative while skinny men who do nothing but cardio are mostly liberal (excluding old men who do it for their hearth).

To be clear, TRP is apolitical, as it is amoral. We are leaving this up for the good discussion being had below, but keep it clean and no slap-fighting. Debate the ideas, not the person.

Not everyone starts at the same level. That 6’6 dude who’s jacked as fuck probably has better genetics than you. Just like not everyone starts on the same Level socioeconomically. You also don’t or shouldn’t, be the sole person responsible for your health. Have you ever struggled with something diet or lifting wise? I bet you asked for help from someone or somewhere. Unless you made a break through in one of areas, you’re relying on someone else’s work. Doesn’t sound very individualist
[–]y_nnis 47 points48 points49 points 5 months ago (7 children)
Never have I ever seen anyone being jacked effortlessly.
[–]blister333 16 points17 points18 points 5 months ago (1 child)
Not effortlessly yet two different guys can follow the same workout plan and see different results. Genetics definitely plays a factor.
[–]y_nnis 6 points7 points8 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Definitely man! Both have to fucking work though.
[–]newls 8 points9 points10 points 5 months ago (1 child)
Point to someone who is "naturally" big and I'll point to the same person who has spent years doing manual work and is generally not a lazy person.
[–]y_nnis 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Jacked is not only big though, right?
[–]Ricardo2991 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (1 child)

[–]y_nnis 2 points3 points4 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Mid 30s. Saw no one ever. The strongest person I knew in high school was playing volleyball, but took stuff and trained every.fucking.day... he was carved out of stone, and you couldn't tell just by looking at him.

Welp, you just proved the comment correct. Good job 👍
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Nobody "gets jacked naturally".
You're either lifting, playing sports, or on gear (and doing either or both of the former).
[–]lampshade2818 4 points5 points6 points 5 months ago (5 children)
This is true. One of my best friends and roomate from college never worked out and was crazy ripped. He lived off Taco Bell and McDonald's. If he even thought about going to the gym two new abs would pop up and his arms would grow and inch. I was always so jealous.
[–]iCeeYouP 7 points8 points9 points 5 months ago (4 children)
You cannot be ripped and never work out. That is physically impossible.
[–]Ibanezguitarrocks 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (2 children)
Actually, not necessarily.
I have a nephew that takes after his father, who is actually obese but has a very stocky frame.
As he's gone through puberty he's gained the kind of muscle mass you'd typically see on someone who works out except he doesn't (although he's semi-active he takes long breaks.)
He doesn't have a big chest but everything else is pretty well developed. When his body fat is low you'd think he worked out regularly. Admittedly he has worked out before but we're talking a couple months out of a whole year.
Some people are very blessed in that department.
[–]iCeeYouP 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (1 child)
Eating a lot =/= Working out.
Like I said, it is physically impossible, no matter how much you try to hamster that it is, to have defined, chiseled muscles, and NOT put any effort into working them out whatsoever.
[–]Ibanezguitarrocks 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Not sure why you mentioned "eating a lot =/= working out" (never said otherwise). He's no couch potato but he doesn't workout regularly like you would assume if you saw him. No gym membership and no weights at home.
I'm just saying he's got a surprising amount of musculature without nearly the effort other men put into actual bodybuilding.
[–]SwoleyMoleyFrijoley 0 points1 point2 points 4 months ago (0 children)
Exactly, nobody accidentally turns out like a greek god. It takes work, no matter who it is.
It doesn't take any talent or genetics to work hard and eat right. Sure, the Rock's and Chris Hemsworth's genetics are better than ours, but in the end they had to work for it. Eating right, is cheap (eggs, veggies, potatoes, whey protein, chicken breast, all affordable). Lifting, is cheap. Socioeconomic factors aren't a factor in work ethic. We have to work for it. If one truly maximizes their physical SMV (5-10% Bodyfat, white teeth, good hygiene, good haircut, lasik, etc), you're probably a 9 to their genetic 10.

[–]blister333 0 points1 point2 points 4 months ago (2 children)
you can both realize its unfair and criticize it while still bettering yourself. its not one or the other.
[–]returnofthemackX 0 points1 point2 points 4 months ago (1 child)
The effort is wasted since a perfect world will never exist as we are imperfect beings.
[–]blister333 0 points1 point2 points 4 months ago (0 children)

[–]maxofreddit 11 points12 points13 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Jesus christ.. kinda when off the rails rambling here....
First off, I assume you realize that you're making a huge generalization.
Second, I'm curious to the reason for the question. It seems that you want to confirm your own bias.
Generally speaking, Jordan Peterson claims that political affiliation is as much tied to personality type as anything else.
Also very broadly speaking, conservatives tend to hold the individual's responsibility to themselves and society in high regard, while liberals tend to hold the society's responsibility to the individual in high regard. They obviously both have their place.
Chances are, you didn't have to personally build the vast majority of the roads, schools, clean water or sewer system plumbing in your area of the world, nor do you have to personally fight off any foreign (armed forces) or domestic (police and fire) threats. This is largely due to a liberal view that some things are better taken care of by society in general than the individual.
Then again, even though you were supplied all of these things (like schooling and such) is no guarantee that you will/are able to take advantage of every thing that has been offered you. Even in a small town, there will be roads you haven't driven down, or if you're like most, you'll never have to call the fire department. These things are still there, just in case.
The best of what liberal's have to offer is the desire to improve society so the individual can flourish. They care about a certain amount of safety net for all people, so no one is left out.
Conservatives are more concerned with how you are responsible for your own corner of the world, and that you are taking care of your own responsibilities and are "making the best of things" for yourself. At their care, they value a hard work ethic, as well as focus on self improvement.
The best of what conservatives have to offer is a desire to improve the individual so the society can flourish.
From this perspective, it can be easy to see how lifting (or any journey of self improvement) can seem to represent a more conservative view. Instead of saying, "I'm happy the way I am, and people should love me this way" (liberal), you're saying, "There are things that I need to improve about myself, and I'll like myself more (and probably so will others) if I work on those things myself."
Sometimes, society does, indeed, need to change, and things need to be addressed. We don't need to look to far back into our past to realize that the way we've treated our fellow humans has been appalling. Liberals have been key in this change, like it or not.
Bringing us amazing wealth and standing in the world, including things like keeping us safe during wars of the past, present and future are largely a conservative thing, like it or not.
Funny enough, if you talk to most people with empathy, you find that most of us agree on 90% of stuff.
Holy rambling... did any of that talk to your point, or am I just tired from my Cinco de Mayo workout?
[–]JourneyofDoves 73 points74 points75 points 5 months ago (33 children)
Right-wingers accept hierarchy and competition, thus they center their lives around running with the competition, left-wingers focus mainly on egalitarianism and fairness, which can never be achieved to any true extent, so the best they can do is rely on degrading the culture and eliminating competition, thereby creating sluts and shattering the family just so they can gain access to the eggs to create more bastard children who will repeat their cycle. This is essentially what is devouring blacks in America, whom are so brainwashed that they have no idea what's happening to them.
Conservatives understand that man is a fallen creature and that the best we can do is instill a motor in the individual, which requires the stability of the family, which in turn requires that men go through the competition wringer to become a man, as to become worthy of a wife.
Progressives are quite literally spiritual cannibals, as they ultimate exchange the happiness and stability of posterity for a 3 second orgasm.
Folks, don't become slaves to impulse, there are some things that I consider worse than death and being a slave to impulse is one of them as it will ultimately lead to the cannibalization of the children in either one form or another. Abortion is really a metaphor for the sickness of the disease of progressivism "kill your children so you can become more of a slut for this deranged society".

I wouldn't use the word brainwash, and yes, sometimes it is the result of a low IQ, but the best word for it is "indoctrination".
The idea that we are all equal is a faith based idea, not one supported by science. When the founding fathers wrote that "all men are created equal" they meant that "no man is divinely ordained to be a leader by a higher power"... in other words, it was a slant against King George who told people that he was king because of divine right. The founding fathers did not believe that all men were equally capable, or that everyone was equally smart, and it is a shame to this day that they failed to realize how their language would one day be used as a club to bludgeon those who can plainly see that not everyone is equally good at everything, or equally valuable to society.
I look at events like Google firing a white male engineer named James Damore for his contribution of peer reviewed science that was considered heresy by many at Google, in a conversation about the gender gap in STEM, as evidence that progressives are increasingly viewing the world through a faith based lens, not a scientific one as they tend to like to claim.

[–]buddahbusted 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
This is a beta falling for a real alpha’s game. If you are at the top, you want everyone to think individual actions are all that matters. The last thing you want is a group of organized men taking control of their lives through a collective. If you were born into the highest class, then yes the status quo serves you great and must maintain control through myths that keep betas in line.
If you are lower or middle class, convincing you that you should rely on only your individual actions rather than creating a union or other fraternal organization to join forces with other men is their goal.
Abortion is a great metaphor. Nobody cares if the guy at the top pays to kill off his concubine’s children. Illegitimate children are a threat to those he really loves. It is only a sin if it was the child of one of his wives. It is the emotional hook to control the betas and below. It’s all about the money. The false morality play is for the rubes, to get them to act irrationally for your own benefit.

[–]Merwebb 4 points5 points6 points 5 months ago (0 children)
[–]HarleyWalker 3 points4 points5 points 5 months ago (0 children)
It's more like a difference in perspective. Leftists wants fairness as defined by the outcome, right leaning people tend to want fairness defined by opportunities. This is broadly speaking of course.
[–]11-Eleven-11 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Fairness to them is you have a house I want so I'm going to burn it down so neither of us can have it. Even though they could work and both of them could have the same house.
[–]BizarreBlizzard 6 points7 points8 points 5 months ago (0 children)
I don't think the act of lifting changes people's political beliefs often. But an interest in getting big might correlate with the type of personality that values strength which would lean right.
[–]Wrath_of_Trump 5 points6 points7 points 5 months ago (0 children)
You are more likely to encounter the true nature of women and realize how quickly they can degenerate society if you let them.
[–]Nergaal 4 points5 points6 points 5 months ago (0 children)
I am going to propose an slight alternative: right-wing means conservative, or keeping something that works. If you are in a hierarchy where you are at the bottom, anything is better, and liberalism promotes trying anything new. If you lift, you 1) you got there by yourself; 2) you had good enough genes to allow 1 to happen either with lots of work or with little work. You are kinda at the top of a hierarchy, so toppling that hierarchy is not in your interest. If you are a low-T male, no woman gives you attention and the best you can hope for is to end up a cuck. Those males want to throw up the system that for better of worse, brought them to the bottom of the pecking order.

No need to be a douche about it. Some of the most intelligent and mentally capable men out there are very skinny. They spend more time in research and academia than lifting. In a physical way, they probably are beta, but in leading their respective "tribe", are surely alpha. Steve jobs, Bill Gates, Stephen hawking, Prince. These guys were likely physically weak.

[–]lord-denning 9 points10 points11 points 5 months ago (18 children)
Once you start lifting, part of the wool comes off your eyes, and you realize the world works more like how the conservatives say it does.
Very generally speaking, the left deals with people as they ideally should be, and the right deals with people as they actually are. For example, a study asked rich and poor people whether a woman would have kids for the welfare benefits. The rich people tended to say of course not, the poor people tended to say of course or at least that a woman might care less whether she had a kid or not given that there were benefits to be had. Who do you think has a greater insight into the lives of fellow poor people and how they are likely to act?
[–]blister333 5 points6 points7 points 5 months ago (17 children)
Eh cons also think minor tax cuts are a huge boost for working poor families. They dont have that much of an impact. Higher wages and better benefits would be more helpful to most lower or even middle class Americans. Not sure what wool you’re taking about. Atleast when I was growing up it was always about grades/hard work not the other way around
[–]jtjathomps 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (9 children)
You think the government can magically increase wages and benefits? How?
[–]blister333 3 points4 points5 points 5 months ago (5 children)
Well things like ceo limits on pay have done fine in Europe. Also minimum wage is decided by govt and state issued healthcare is another way. In terms of big picture, I think America needs to shift away from the dire need to always maximize profit. This usually comes at the expense of wages which have been stagnant for 30 years. Luckily more “conscious” companies have started to make headlines.
[–]jtjathomps 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (4 children)
How do limits on CEO pay raise wages for the rank and file? If you reduce CEO wages and divide that by tens of thousands of employees - it means nothing. That's just wealth envy. So profits are bad? Where do you think the profits go? They go to the shareholders - most of which are just people with stocks or mutual funds in retirement accounts. You want people to have less money to retire? Weird ideas.
Countries have implemented laws where ceo can only make X times what the lowest level employee makes. Most middle class people have little to nothing in retirement accounts as it is
[–]jtjathomps 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (2 children)
You're just making stuff up now. 66% of Americans have retirement accounts. 90% of the middle class have retirement savings. If you don't think a large chunk of the stock and bond market is occupied by retirement accounts of regular people - I don't know what to say. It's just a fact.

By reducing immigration so that there is not a constant surplus of labour undermining wage growth while simultaneously increasing living costs.
[–]jtjathomps 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (1 child)
Except there is no surplus of labor - the unemployment rate is now 3.9%. LACK of labor is a bigger problem - look at what is happening in Japan.
[–]Planner_Hammish 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
I'm assuming that is from BLS official stats? Because their definition for unemployment keeps changing and excluding more and more types of unemployed, keeping the numbers looking good.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (6 children)
that does help more.
[–]blister333 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (5 children)
What does, tax cuts?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (3 children)
maybe not a lot, but tax cuts and tax incentives for the rich to pay workers higher wages is not a bad idea. hey if you pay your workers above x, you get this much of a tax break. the left refuses to acknowledge that in order to win, you have to give and take, and give mutual benefit.
[–]bobbydreddits 4 points5 points6 points 5 months ago (1 child)
Yeah but this doesn't happen. The current workforce is extremely more productive then it used to be and wages have stagnated. I'm assuming you are American? The rich people in power sell that idea because it's passes as a talking point
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 5 months ago (0 children)
the issue is we don't have proper protectionism in place.
[–]blister333 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
definitely agree, you need to work together. thats whats missing most, forget the left/right shit all together
it does help as well as higher wages. the only thing is raising minimum wage causes inflation.

Self discipline and sacrifice are conservative traits.
[–]blister333 8 points9 points10 points 5 months ago (1 child)
Hey women sacrifice fetuses all the time!
[–]zeromonster89 6 points7 points8 points 5 months ago (3 children)
I've seen these men. I think it mite be the only way they can have a male identity in a "girl power" world. They tend to be right-wing because most left-wing men who are "progressive" are also kissing up to women to get with them. Just look at male feminists, a lot of them have low status among men, they can only get attention from women by "supporting women". But Alpha males tend to be right-wing because even women today love a breadwinner. Just my opinion.
[–]blister333 5 points6 points7 points 5 months ago (2 children)
Plenty of people Are left wing and don’t care about feminism. They’re a loud minority
[–]zeromonster89 5 points6 points7 points 5 months ago (1 child)
I'm a classical liberal myself. I'm also MGTOW. I think the feminists will make the left and free thinking movement die. Feminism is basically a cult, a religion.
[–]blister333 4 points5 points6 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Yea it’s definitely borderline cult at this point. The “with us or against us” mentality isn’t helpful on either side. Even the posts on here attacking liberals don’t really accomplish anything. We’ve been at each other’s throats for years and nothing’s really changed. Most people still feel left out politically, regardless of view point. I’d call myself liberal but my preference/focus is on how meaningless politics is in America. Until average peoples thoughts or votes really matter, then it’s basically all masturbation
[–]vizzzzion 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (0 children)
*only reads title
I dont personally fall into this stereotype much but a lot of the drives that would lead men to lift fall under "traditional" masculinity, which is a bit more closely associated with right of center views.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (1 child)
i don't truthfully care about politics one way or another. nowadays, the system is so corrupt that its better to check out and not play.
[–]FiveStarTendieDinner 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (0 children)
It's better to take advantage of both sides and systematically destroy both the left and right wing establishments if the opportunity arises.
Discipline. Self reliance. Not being a victim. Working hard to get results. Not relying on others...no excuses.

Because they know the benefits of hard work. Short and simple.

I really don't think that fitness has anything to do with political affiliation. I'm from America and in my country half of the 324 million people are overweight. A third of them are extremely obese. Some of those individuals who are fat and obese are my coworkers. They are not liberals by any means. Unless you can provide some sort of statistics or studies that were shown that people who lift are more X than Y I think it's better to not bother with such a useless debate.
This election season I was interested in the presidential campaign. It was my second time being able to vote for a president. After I got so wound up from all of it I realized how beta it is to give a fuck about the government and what they promise you. TRP is about realizing that nobody owes you shit and nobody is going to do shit for you. The government doesn't help you because they like you and want to suck you dick. All they want is your tax money. That is the only reason they protect us and nurture us. Getting caught between left and right is how they divide and conquer us.
[–]FN15 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
You can choose to dive deep into it all; that is unnecessary. From the simplest form of thought, you can see that a women’s way of thinking is that of the left’s talking points/principle. When you think about the opposite of that spectrum, you end up with “mostly” what we have in US politics, that being the right side, or what you call it, “being a right winger.”
[–]SelfActualize86 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Because "right wingers" are more inclined to embody traditionally masculine characteristics.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (1 child)
Liberalism is designed for women.
Ignorant statement. Liberals currently pander to women, and break the social contract by increasing reliance on the State. Liberalism is about freedom, personal responsibility, small government, and merit.
[–]1RPLawyer 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Buzzfeed's Tryguys have T levels lower than normal 80 year old men and they are as leftwing as can be. Not a coincidence IMO. Just like how women are most likely to vote left, men with low T are basically women with penises.
[–]longjeep2005 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Driven and motivated men tend to work hard in the gym. Drive to succeed is essentially a quest for power; power to determine your own destiny, i.e. freedom. Right wing beliefs are more libertarian in nature, therefore powerful individuals tend to side with these beliefs.
However, one does not have to be right wing to be muscular/successful.
[–]RPAlternate42 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
There is a strong correlation between realism and the members of the political right. The right tends towards dealing with what is.
The left deals with what ought to be; idealism.
People well acquainted with the iron Temple know that only hard work and actual pushing will move the weight. It will not move itself and making it lighter because it's too heavy isn't going to move the heavy weight.
Realists know the weight has to be moved, so they do what is necessary to move it.
Idealists don't think that it needs to be moved and so it isn't; if it's hard, do something else.
Until Chad takes his girl over and over and over again. Until his female friends constantly telling him how hot some other Chad is or they openly discuss how Chad conquers them with each other while he sits just outside the circle of discussion with his chin down and his arms crossed.
Then he wonders if he can be Chad.
Do you have any research behind this or is it just your anecdotal impression?
[–]123undeuxtrois123[S] 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Actually there is a study done in a university that supports my thesis. It is about the correlation between biceps size and place on the political left-right spectrum.
[–]DarkMountain666 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (10 children)
Sorry but this sounds like the biggest bullshit ever. You need to start seeing the lifting culture and political ideologies as two separate things.
[–]2000inchbiceps 2 points3 points4 points 5 months ago (9 children)
You need to see a broader view of why a person votes who he votes for. Personal values that are built up on hard work can correlate with political beliefs.
[–]blister333 3 points4 points5 points 5 months ago (3 children)
If you vote, you’ve lost. You fail to see the big picture and how politics is in America. You have no voice
[–]2000inchbiceps -2 points-1 points0 points 5 months ago (2 children)
Voting does have an impact. Why do you think there's no national voting holiday where the majority is off work? Why do you think they try so damn hard to manipulate the votes? Why do you think they make it so inconvenient to get to a polling station? Why do you think the presidential election was on a Tuesday? If you really cared about doing something, at the very least would be to vote.
there was a study done by a political scientist from yale/princeton that showed even if citizens had a 90% consensus on an issue, there was a 30% that it could be turned into a new bill. if business didnt approve of that bill, there was an over 95% chance the issue would be squashed.

Personal values that are built up on hard work can correlate with political beliefs.
Personal values that are built up on hard work can correlate with political beliefs.
You can't figure out someone's personal values/political ideology by how hard he works in the gym.
Yes, he would've worked hard in that case, especially if his genetics are not in his favor. Anything else you want to extract from that is nothing more than baseless assumptions and generalizations that get you nowhere.
[–]2000inchbiceps 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (3 children)
Read better. I didn't say they "do correlate", but they "can correlate". There's a bunch of factors that can bring up a someone's political ideology. I'm not saying one factor means you can predict 100% someone's ideology.

Lol I love it when people change the subject from what they quoted so they can win an argument. Really shows how meaningless arguing with them can be. Don't quote my shit if you're not going to stay on subject.
And again as always, read better.

There do exist white incels who worship tradcon thots like Lauren Southern and then get pissed off when said thots hook up with non-white men. You'd think it's the feminists who would label those white nationalist chicks as hypocrites, but no, the derogatory term "coal burner" is actually used by alt-right betas.
[–]laserdicks 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (1 child)
I think it all comes down to this one line of division: independence Vs dependence.
Conservative and liberal
Right and left
Built and soy
Liberty and affirmative action (under the guise of "equality")
Tons of fat conservative fucks down south. Come down and I’ll show you how pathetic they are. Most of them drive over sized trucks which are American made garbage
[–]econquest 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (0 children)
Once you're buff women don't want to hear that shit from you. Their skinny liberal friends are there to discuss that with them, while you're there to pound them.
This comes from the women, not from you. you don't really have a choice in the matter.
(relative beginner, take what I say with a grain of salt!)

Your question is backwards and assumes the guys aren't choosing to be muscular by dedicating time in the gym. The right question would be: why do right wing guys focus heavily on lifting?
Whether that's true and what the reasons are, I leave to someone else.
[–]FI-Boy -1 points0 points1 point 5 months ago (0 children)
I don't know but I can attest to it myself. When I started lifting, I had a literal metamorphosis take place in my brain. Went far left to far right. Chemical imbalance is all that I can think it might be.
[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 months ago (2 children)
i am a cardio guy and do a lot of martial arts. i tend to lean left on social issues and more fiscally conservative.
[–]123undeuxtrois123[S] 0 points1 point2 points 5 months ago (1 child)
You know I don’t mean you right? I’ve trained martial arts too and have done tons of cardio.
yeah i know that. i think that the idea is kinda silly is all. i think politics are separate from yhe weight lifting/exercise;
where you get the right wing type stuff, i believe, is most guys who exercise, train hard, and take care of themselves, tend to be confident, and self reliant. self reliant people have no need for a lot of the leftist narrative. because they can take care of themselves. i agree, that maybe there is a correlation, but its more due to the confidence and independent mindset it instills.
[–]cl3537 -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 months ago (2 children)
Nonsense assumptions based on small sample size.
Most body builders are one dimensional and not too bright who cares what their political views are.
[–]123undeuxtrois123[S] 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (1 child)
I am not talking about IFBB Pros I’m talking about the average Joe who lifts and the average Joe doesn’t.
[–]cl3537 1 point2 points3 points 5 months ago (0 children)
If it was mostly redpill men lifting (which it really isn't in mine or any other gym), than yes I'd assume most are Right Wing capitalists, working out is a means to an end and in a capitalist society you have the greatest potential to be rewarded for your efforts. The disparity between have and have nots is greatest in right wing society.
[–]TimPartendale -3 points-2 points-1 points 5 months ago (0 children)
There isn’t a good explanation because the correlation is in your head. And I’ve yet to see any evidence to support your question.
This is equivalent to me saying, “Head and shoulders is blue. Why do libtards have more dandruff?”
I’m liberal and I lift. My friends are liberal (or very apathetic to politics) and they lift. Did I survey everyone at my gym? Nope. But I also didn’t make a reddit post saying, “my gym leans left - why is that?” And leave it to the dogs.
The responses in this thread are hilarious.

How did you come to this conclusion?
