[Mod] BEFORE YOU POST, look through the improved sidebar. Also on TROLLS and POST QUALITY (self.asktrp)

submitted by MODVigilantRedRooster[M]

AskTRP was founded as a brother sub to TRP, so newbies and beginnners have a place to post, in order to maintain the quality level of TRP postings. As such, the posting requirements are a little more relaxed, but that doesn't mean LAX.

The experienced members who generously donate their time to this sub, as well as casual readers, burn out quickly on low-effort questions asked every day by people making no effort to help themselves. Part of being a MAN is taking responsibility for your life and outcomes, not waiting for others to hand you everything on a platter. We ask that seekers make an effort to lurk and read, to use the wealth of Red Pill information already posted and available for you to take advantage of.

Toward this end, we've improved and expanded the AskTRP sidebar. This is an ongoing project, more will be added over time so check it over periodically. We've included information to cover many Frequently AskTRP'd Questions, and curated TRP articles geared toward beginners. The idea is to offer a comprehensive Build-A-Man workshop so users can get up to speed on Red Pill theory and application without burning out the readership and posters with the same beginner questions day in and day out.

Once a reader has absorbed this information, it becomes possible to ask much better, more nuanced questions. For example, instead of hopping on AskTRP and being the third person today asking, "Wnat to spin plates, how do?" a seeker can go directly to three quality articles on plating from the sidebar. From there, a more nuanced question can emerge: "I want to spin plates, read the articles, I can't seem to get past "the talk" they always bounce at this stage, what next?" Questions such as this make for much more interesting discussion and content, and most importantly, reduce the burnout level of the experienced members staffing AskTRP.

Before posting, read through the sidebar. Your question may already be answered, and you'll get better responses to a nuanced question.

AskTRP helpers, refer posters to appropriate sidebar articles where relevant ones are available instead of reinventing the wheel with a new response. This not only helps avoid burnout, it guides others toward the information they need before they make yet another top post for basic information.

If you have any feedback about the AskTRP sidebar or want to recommend a TRP article or post to be curated there, PM me, u/VigilantRedRooster.

There has been a rash of trolls lately. Some are anti-TRP people with too much time on their hands, some are butthurt after interacting with the moderators, some are old-fashioned link spammers.

Don't feed the trolls, use the report function! It works!

If you see a troll or bad post, don't engage the poster in a flame war that drags out for post after post. This drags down the quality of our content and makes small messes into huge ones for the Mods to clean up. Using the REPORT function will call attention to the problem so the mods can take care of it- that's our job. Help us help you, REPORT bad posts, don't respond to them!

Complaining about the post quality on TRP or AskTRP is against the rules. It looks too much like concern trolling, and busy mods are likely to delete your post and ban you. I've seen perfectly good posters raise a legitimate concern about the content during a troll storm by making a top post on TRP, only to be banned. The proper way to report a concern about an individual post is to report it. If you are concerned about general post quality, message the moderators, don't make a new post about it!

Our stock response to complaints about the quality of posts on TRP is, "Don't complain, write the content you'd prefer to see!"

A shout-out of thanks to the senior members, endorsed contributors, and all those who help answer basic questions here on AskTRP. You're an important part of the Red Pill Network; a new generation of men raised in Feminine-Primary society needs this resource desperately. Thank you for helping fill this need and steer our society back toward a healthy gender balance!

Wait is this going to reduce the number of.... "did I wipe ass like an alpha?" questions?

[–]Luis_McLovin 22 points23 points  (3 children)

honestly, I hope it reduces the number of "I'm an Indian waaaaa waaaa" posts

There exists a connection between men's Indian culture/society and feelings of insecurity and defeatist attitudes.

Far too many can't look past their own race as being the sole reason to why they don't smash punani and aren't receptive to advice/criticism.

Many would rather bask in self-pity than put in the effort to change their lives. It's disgusting and deplorable and the wider TRP community is sick of it, so much so that there has been a dedicated post on the main Reddit addressing this niche of men.

And to think we're gonna have the fight the Chinese with those babies in the next war.

Should be on the sidebar. Alphas wipe front to back

    [–]Nay2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welp, I'm a beta back to front.

Why not just do what r/steroids does. You have to be part of the sub 30 days before you can post anything. This would stop a lot of this and cause people to read

Good to see this -- the only "concern trolling" I think I have here is it's important to see mods active. Just a casual post like this tells us that hitting the report button is at least being dealt with.

Sidebar is really fantastic, I want to give props to those who have worked so hard on it.

like he said this is a LEARNING forum so for all you sexually frustrated grown ass men please stop picking out every little thing said by a newbie that is questionable and call them beta for it. Point it out and help them understand why they are thinking with the wrong mindset in a critiquing and informative way. This isn't a pissing contest, stop acting like bringing other men down makes you more masculine. This forum is best thought of as a family, now help your little brothers and cousins out...

I think we need a more updated "Glossary of Redpill terms"

I've found so many terms in posts both here and at /r/TheRedPill that I didn't understand. With some, I was able to figure it out myself. But with others, I wasn't.

I have no specific examples, but I know I'm not the only one who's experienced this.

Hell. It's about time. (That the sidebar was updated).

    Thx mods!

Trp could use a sidebar update too IMO.

    Much nice

    [–]Terribledragon4Hire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to have a summary as to where to find specific topics.

For example. If I want to read and learn more about AA. Can we have a glossary to point a person in that direction

I've been writing about gender issues for some time, but don't have much interest in PUA-ing or parenting or "traditional family values" stuff-- more just some back-and-forth on general matriarchal tyranny and its fallout. Is there another subreddit, or another website, anyone can recommend?
