"I don't want to be with someone who is so madly in love with me he settles for the shitty version of me. I wanna be the best person possible."

I liked that especially.

This video is filled with so many gems!

I am subscribed to her, actually! I find her to be pretty level headed, even though her boyfriend has beta potata™ face

What is beta potata face? Haven't seen her boyfriend yet.

Lol it's a phrase Atlas_B_Shruggin uses for men who have a certain look to them. Like, soft looking. He looks like this http://i.ytimg.com/vi/NVjyyXk_CZ0/maxresdefault.jpg

They seem to get along pretty well though. Like in an "equal relationship" kind of way.

I had no idea what you meant but that picture is literally what I would've drawn based only on that phrase. Well if they're happy and it works for them, who am I to judge? Lol.

That dude needs steroids. Seriously. God, that shit.

hahahaha!

About them: I have seen them interact and he doesn't seem to put her on a pedestal even though I get the vibe OOONCEEE in a while that she's not used to having to make an effort to be liked. She's a very pretty girl. So he does have SOME alpha traits going for him...

[–]Simpsondimsum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I kind of don't get them together hahah...but...yeah

That was great! Thanks for posting, I always see her suggested on my YouTube page but never thought she'd be worth watching, thus changed my mind. I wish more people could be this introspective and self-aware.

I've been watching her for a while. She is so down-to-earth and kind!

[–]dalls18 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Who else do you watch that you recommend? :)

I really really like bubzvlogz...she's really cute but also really unsexy sometimes (makes pooh jokes fairly often, haha) - she really shows that feminine energy isn't just about makeup and dresses: she's kind and very warm to her viewers, her husband and her family in general. I love watching her!

I appreciated her talking about how she still messes up but she learns from it. Lord knows I still mess up all the time, especially lately (gave notice at my job and they repaid me by giving me terrible shifts and making my time there harder). And sometimes I get down on myself a little too hard for not being perfect, because I feel like my SO deserves that. But as long as I'm constantly improving and not making the same mistakes over again and trying my best to be my best, it's okay. I know that wasn't the big message to take out of this, but I needed to hear it today.

Hang in there, honey! Go easy on yourself for a little while. I've started meditating to try to monitor my thoughts and see if I can spot self-defeating patterns before they come. It's been helping a lot!

Yes! Ideally, you should find someone who inspires you to be a better person. Of course, you will only try to improve if you're motivated to yourself but having someone who know you can be and encourages you to be better helps.

We also look for cues in others to see what behaviors they will accept from us.

Example: If we end up being late a couple times but they say nothing, we get the message that they're ok with this and may continue to be unpunctual. Even though it is very disrespectful. That's why it's important to have a man with alpha qualities who won't let you get away with bad behaviors by firmly telling you in the first instance it's not ok.

Quite true.
