One of my female coworkers is constantly ratting on every men to my boss and he believes her... wtf???? (self.asktrp)

I'm in front of her. She uses another guy in our floor as her personal puppy (Peter), and whenever he snaps or doesn't run to help her, she starts complaining behind his back and blaming him for her failures.

She's way behind in a project (as always) and she literally says "it's because Peter is not helping her and doesn't talk to her".

Today we had a serious issue with a company system and some clients started complaining. I was struggling to fix it and one of my female coworkers (another one) on the other side of the company wrote via chat that "stupid client X was affacted".

Of course, I moved promptly to fix it, together with Peter. Once it was fixed, I called her and asked her if everything was ok. It went like this:

  • ME: hey jenny, everything allright with the system?

  • SHE: lol, I was joking, client X wasn't affected.

  • ME: are you serious? we moved promply to fix the issue for him and you are telling me he wasn't affected?

  • SHE: yes

I hanged up the phone rather upsed and throw it on the table, commenting to myself "she was a bitch" and "next time, she can fix her own issues herself". I wasn't thinking, I was just venting to myself.

The woman in front of me that ratts men out heard me and, in private, asked to talk to my boss. He gave her audience (he didn't give me audience for work stuff, that's secondary), and she went to his office, telling him that "peter is moody all the time and it's making work life hard for her, that jack (me) slammed the phone on another coworker, etc"

And my boss was clearly upset that "he has to work with so many unstable men", while the woman in front of him (who literally gets a passed for having a pussy), is forgiven.

It's not the first time this bitch runs to my boss, but my boss never does anything to punish any of us. But having her in front of me doing this is insane.

The worst part is my boss didn't ask for specifics about my situation, he just said (in private) that "we have to work with moody guys (peter) and crazy shitheads that hates everyone that's not as good as him (jack, ie, me), and people can't work with ease... In the end, we only have 3 professional people in our team", and he listed them. Of course, I wasn't included...

And my innocent coworker is just sitting there, waiting for people to help her and ratting others out when it suits her. WTF FUCKING FUCK????? What the fuck did I do to her???????????

WTF is wrong with this picture?? Should I be worried about it or just let it go?

yeah, it seems that way. What I wrote on the post happened yesterday. Today, she escalated. She essentially insulted Peter (my coworker) mercilessly with her group of friends via chat.

And, of course, out of nowhere, I was thrown in into the same mix. She's cautious about me so I didn't get hammered to the other women, but she still vented that "she can't stand being in the room with two crazy nut-jobs like us" with one of the men sharing the room with us.

Funny thing is, both him and the guy she vented to suck at their jobs. Peter was still pissed, but I wasn't doing squat. I was just minding my own business, doing my work, not insulting nor bothering anyone. And yet, I was still attacked by her.

She essentially started calling us "40yo men in their period" because we don't entertain her like other men do. Yeah, that's the kind of bitch we are working with...

I just stopped doing it when I saw she was a bitch. My coworker (Peter) is still doing it, so today I texted him everything I know about this bitch to see if he wakes the fuck up.

Funny thing is, she's now calling us (in private, she has no balls, of course) "two 40yo men in their period". I'm 30, btw, but she's not good with numbers, 2 tits + 1 pussy = she can count up to 3. Why does she call us that? Well, my coworker is constantly depressed, so she has ammo. I did nothing to her though, except minding my own business and ignoring her. And yeah, I got thrown in the same mix.

The only guy she deems "normal" in there is the good for nothing 45yo old who's short, stocky, nerdy, and they love to treat like their puppy.

We throw the garbage out regularly, and we sort of take turns to do it. Last Monday the bin of plastic was full, so the bitch in front of me asked the stocky guy to throw it out. He said he would, and let it go. She repeated it a couple of times the next couple of days, and the guy still said "he'd do it eventually".

Came wednesday, and this bitch literally grabbed the bin and put it on the stocky coworker's desk, so the guy found it there when he came into the office. I was on a business meeting outside the office, and for what I heard, he got pissed and got called "hormonal" for reacting to that shit. And then things went back to normal. Of course, he went out and threw out the trash.

See, that's not the sort of thing she'd EVER do to me because she's scared shitless of me reacting badly to her crap. So, the stocky moron gets treated well and abused, while we get treated like crap to the point of being undermined with our boss but she doesn't dare mess with us up front.

One way or another, she's projecting her stupid fucked up power. Either up front or behind our backs. And god it will be so good when I get her fired...

That's the game she played from the start. She built her likability and reputation as a "team worker", even though she sucked at her job. Her strategy was to used her social value to compensate for her lack of skills, and literally refused to learn them.

I showed my boss (the beta moron) the chat message this bitch sent me about "how she would absolutely never learn this stuff while other people in the company were doing other stuff", and he just laughed and did nothing.

Back to the original point, her actions towards me have always been the same: attack my reputation. And the same goes for my coworker Peter. We (especially me) are pretty good at our job, so she knows we can make her life a lot easier. When I realized she was using me and not learning (a year ago, give or take) I cut her off and she went bananas behind my back.

Insults, attacks on my reputation, my team-work attitude, my social skills, etc. I even got promoted, and she escalated her complaints to our boss and, once more, constant attacks on my reputation in order to get herself transferred and out of my reach. Why? Because I wouldn't tolerate her crap and just demand her to do her job.

Now Peter is the target, but at the first sign of me doing something she didn't like, she's once more attacking my reputation. I did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to get in the last month we've been sharing a floor with, and yet, I'm automatically put on the list of "those whose reputation needs to be trashed". Granted, she's more careful with me now so she only complaints to one or two people, and very modestly. But Peter is getting the shit for real, and everyone is hearing about what a depressing creep he is.

Yes. He slowly took authority away from me and, in one occasion, he verbally put me down in front of my team to get back at me and show me who's in charge. He never does that crap, and he did it with me specifically on purpose.

He then disassembled my team and let this bitch do nothing at work all day long without punishing her while I got to carry the blunt of a lot of heavy tasks.

It only reversed a couple of month back when I went to his office and told him "either you give me A, let me work on B and don't wanna hear about C, or I quit", and he gave me everything I wanted.

As far as your approach within your job, it sounds like you're doing the right thing. Document everything, and make sure you document it on your own hardware. If you have a digital camera or camera phone, take pictures of any text conversations, and, where legal to do so, record phone conversations.

If they end up firing you, you can go to court and get back any damages. Just remember, your boss may be easy to fool, but maybe not a jury or a judge.

Ah, the daily office wars. You have two options, get out and persue some kind of unicorn job where this shit does not happen (and will not happen in the future) or get into the right frame for this kind of deskjob.

Always leave a written trail of correct behavior and actions behind on any step you do in any company that has a deskjob. Always confirm shit via email after a verbal agreement. Always act in the interest of the company, not risking the higher ups money and budgets for stupid things. Never complain about stupid shit, never, ever, to anyone inside or anywhere near that company. Write a god damn journal and keep it under your bed if you need to wipe away the tears produced by a work contract you signed and still pays you.

Be in your frame, but stoic? Just do it. Do it. If you cant do it, how should your boss consider you a stable asset to his company? Confirm what she told you on the phone, CC your higher up, note that you wasted X manpower on that because of a lie. Do not press for a meeting or something, just keep it written, move on, do your job.
