Everything under "Modern Discourse" sounds like what you get when educate a bunch of people to be scientifically minded, rational, and pragmatic--products of an education system that nurtures skeptical thought, hard data, and offers no extra points for emotional arguments or feelings.
Everything under "Postmodern Discourse" sounds like what you get when you teach a bunch of people it's okay to approach debate by being touchy-feely, sensitive, and focused on political correctness and sanitized thought over data and rigorous proof--products of an education that over-corrects from the former and, dare I say, even punishes non-feminized approaches to thought.
