IRC CHANNEL REMINDER (self.RedPillWives)

Hi everyone! We just wanted to remind any newbies that we have an IRC channel!

Of course you may use any Client you want, the channel is on quakenet and its #redpillwomen

most of us use irrccloud, here is a link to the IRC

Please make a username that reflects your reddit name you use for RPWi and be prepared to id yourself a little, it is a chatroom for us alone, not everyone who wanders by! women only please

I really need to work out how to set up IRC on my phone, I love the IRC but just struggle to find time on the computer until evenings

What kind of phone do you have? There's an IRCCloud app that I've got on mine, it works pretty well but I feel like it's harder to keep up with on mobile.

Windows, so apps are not so good - the IRC ones are confusing, and said i was already logged in :(

I do want to get a new phone because of the lack of app support, a cracked screen and it just being kind of an old phone now. But it's soooooo cheap, and i've been trying to be frugal recently.

Ah yeah, that sucks. I really do like the Windows OS, it's pretty good but the lack of development makes it kind of worthless. We were looking at cheaper Android phones to potentially pick up as burners to use when we're back in Europe in a few months, BLU has some really good phones that are cheap.

The windows OS is good, and the camera isn't bad but with little app support it just sucks. We will have to change, because my husband's phone is getting so old the app updates don't even work on his phone!

I'm thinking android, we have an android tablet which i'm fine with, and Iphones seem heavy to me. Thanks for the tip!

I admit that I'm mostly a lurker. I was active on the IRC a few months ago under another name, but I don't like the IRC interface - it's very clunky. I think something like Discord or Vine would be a bit more slick. Is there a reason why the mods chose IRC over newer text communication methods?

For example, Discord has the ability to set roles (like flairs here on Reddit) and channels, so there could be one channel for memes, another for debates/discussions, etc etc.

we dont even have enough peopel to need all of that, splitting up 8-9 people into 5 channels is stupid. also i dont like the voice option because all the peopel who can voice stop text chattign and that leaves out the peopel who cant voice chat for whatever reason, like many peopel cant
