Time to discuss anything and everything about June's book of the month: Fascinating Womanhood!!

There aren't words for how much i love this book. I'm 3/4ths of the way through and can't put it down. Just heading out but in brief, top 2 pros and cons for me.

Pros: very in depth about specifically what character traits to develop and how to achieve them.

Very detailed discussion with multiple examples and testimonials. Draws on literary characters for analysis and comparison.

Gets to the heart of what men want. Analyses the hell out of it. Tremendously in depth.

Cons: very hard on women who work even a few hrs a week outside the home. It was first written in 60s so very much of its time as regards women working. I still agreed with most of this section but it just isn't feasible for a lot of women.

Written from a Christian POV...not necessarily a bad thing but as a woman of a different religion it made it somewhat difficult to relate in parts.

Overall an incredible resource...probably the single most in depth RP theory book ive read .

I'm new here, too. I read FW many years ago before getting married and it resonated with me, but I stopped trying to put it into practice and spent the majority of my marriage being an overbearing bitch. Things are better, but not perfect, and I'm excited to go back to this material for the first time in about 13 years and see it with new eyes!

New here. I haven't bought the book just yet but I have been looking at blogs and reading the companion PDF and found it completely enlightening. I'm happier, my husband is responding quite well to my personal changes. I think it's time to take the leap and buy the real book...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
