This is probably old. If you go to google scholar and search for 'physical attractiveness" you will find more studies than you could ever hope to read.

I'm trying to look for studies that talk about actual aesthetics and attractiveness, not the effects of attractiveness on people and society. The latter I already know but I do need more scientific info on appearance.

The book is but you can only find parts of it for free on Google Books, and you have to pay for the full article.
