Ok girlfriends,

Its been a while since i posted about getting out there into the big wide world and doing some manly stuff. Maybe you do already, maybe you don't. But there is a lot of talk here about who should be making dinner and what it means when she is being a bitch (its day 3 of her cycle, so...). If I stumbled across this site i would assume y'all are pussies from the recent posts. I can't remember the last post that made me think one of you was bad-ass - probably u/red-sfpplus i guess, or maybe u/screechhater

So let go of that wheelbarrow you need to carry your balls around and tell us about your adventures / challenges / risky behaviours. Y'know like multi-day hikes, back country skiing, surfing big waves, fight with a homeless person, you get the idea.

When I found the red pill I organized a backpacking trip for myself and invited a few buddies. I decided to go regardless of who came with. A couple of guys decided to come along. We now have a solid group of 4 guys that go out on a primitive camping trip twice a year for 3-4 nights. We find a new spot to camp every trip and shoot the shit, discuss red pill, life, marriage, careers, swap manly stories, have cigars and whiskey by the fire, a bit of hunting, fishing and exploring. It's the highlight of my summer. Next trip is in 3 weeks. Lots of new stories and experiences to share with the guys and will likely be called out as a faggot more than once. Looking forward to developing some survival skills and being called out on my bullshit.

Talking about Fight Club, eh? You didn't say it ended badly so I assume it didn't. I have a running buddy that I suspect is Red Pilled. We talk about pertinent topics, but have never broached Fight Club or even core topics like hypergamy or AWALT. Beyond that I have yet to bring it up in real life.

[–]Diesel_Dragon12 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I wasn't the one to initially bring it up, just discussing the nature of men and women and how that plays out in marriage. Then my buddy asked if I have heard about the redpill. First words out of my mouth were "what's the first rule of fight club?" We both smirked and left it at that. Then one of the other guys wanted to know what we were talking about, other dude wasn't around at the time. We kept quiet and changed the subject. By the end of last summer he dropped 30lbs, and now lifts regularly. Pretty sure he looked up the red pill after the trip. We don't specifically talk about redpill (that comment I made was misleading). We discuss some of the principles behind redpill. It will be interesting to see where the fireside conversations go. The other guy is definitely not redpill aware but is fairly alpha with some beta tendencies. We usually give him a hard time when he bitches about his marriage.

I had a big tree blow over last week and it took another tree down with it. I fired up the chain saw Saturday morning to start cutting it up and within 15 minutes 3 of my neighbors were there with their chain saws. We made short work of the trees then had beers and rum after, even though it was only 11AM. Never drink around a chain saw....but it sure feels good afterwards.

Not gonna swing a bigger dick than others story, but I recommend to “cut the fear” on just being too reserved to either learn something new, or break out of the “this is what responsible” husbands should do” - ltr mindset and live.

I have several go bags including gun cases. I stop by the store and pick up a case of shells and take a boy out of school and we shoot skeet then head to the library for some “mind” work All before supper.

We stop on the way home and pick up some steaks, asparagus and sweet potatoes. We prep, heat the grill chop the sweet potatoes and get dinner made like we “own our lives”

We lift, maybe go get a hair cut together (every two weeks on the cut). I make him look at himself in the mirror. “Do I look good ?” Yes, now is the time to instill

With enough shooting of the shit with bro time, events come up either planned or at the drop of a hat. I’m always ready. Be ready yourself, I look at my schedule and fit in as much as I can. Because I have my shit together, in all aspects, my first officer sees “my time” as a need to be filled I’m gone, drop of a hat. Duck hunting at 4am and dancing with her @9pm

As a masculine fucker with a cock, I walk this planet with an open mind, that mind has absorbed and keeps absorbing, constantly.

I’ll fix a toilet at home installing a flush drain, paint my daughters finger nails, go fishing, and dawn a sports coat with slacks or jeans and be the best dressed at any event, in the same day

I own my shit. I own my existence. I own a fuck ton of experiences and put them to good use.

I’ll pack a tampon in your wound, I’ll get on the horse at the stable being comfortable, I’ll take your dirtbike and table top, dump your clutch at 5000 in 2nd, and repell with you. I won’t fuck your wife, but I will make her wet by being me, the masculine open minded fuck that will clean up your puke in my tux and ask her to dance all in the same breath.

Live, absorb- open your mind. Laugh. Drink. Do. Kill the electronics. Take your life by the balls and squeeze.

Don’t forget to lift, avoid maxing, diet seriously, and yes, always look fuckable even in pajamas as you make the coffee. Clean the fucking sleep out of your eyes

I have lifted since I was 12. I’m not big by any means. But I will tell you, gyms in hotels, gyms on the road and in your basement offer solice. Solice is what builds your frame. It recharges your mind. There is no fucking way I could live the way I do without lifting time

[–]simbarlionMRP APPROVED[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. Fear.

They see it in your eyes when you feel it, they see it in your eyes once you're back from beating it. You can't fake that shit.

[–]hack3geMRP APPROVED6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Fuck yes - there’s nothing better in this world than a fucking heavy ass set of deadlifts. I live for that shit. I don’t know how people live their life without lifting.

[–]NBCWH4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

it’s crazy how the more you start to pull, the more your mind starts telling you that you won’t be able to lift it. Then just get pissed and move it!

[–]hack3geMRP APPROVED1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I was pretty much stalled out - hopped on TRT and in 2 weeks have added 40lbs to my deadlift. Each time I’m like there’s no way I’m gonna pull that and sure as shit the bar just comes off the ground.

[–]Bobsfreestuff[🍰] 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

"avoid maxing"

MRP, the best place to come when you want faggot lifting advise. On a thread about scaring yourself, you list "avoid maxing?" What type of man is afraid of maxing his deadlift.

You do you, Faggot.

[–]EeclekticJBiz0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]RP_PO0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Good shit here. Though fuck you if you think a tampon is for wounds. Packing, pressure dressings, direct pressure, and tourniquets are for bleeding control. Tampons are for absorbing blood, and killing buddies of tacticool dudes who read a shitty opinion on casualty care.

[–]FoxShitNasty83Grinding0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

"Solice is what builds your frame" I used to hate being on my own, but now I cant wait. Twin that with lifting and you have a space for real growth.

I might write that up on the iron temple wall.

I sailed a small sailboat at night in a snowstorm by headlamp. Almost couldn't turn around because of the gale force winds and the one man crew; I had to sail to the far end of the lake to turn around in the wind shadow of the shore.

[–]occipitalshit8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Last time I went sailing (novice, in a small Gypsy) the wind picked up, whitecaps ensued, I had the whole back corner of the boat underwater. I got it right, made it to the dock, which was upwind.

Great learning experience!

What steps did you take to get there? Any tips/tricks, or anything to avoid?

[–]dernialzertski1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Start and keep going. I don’t mean to be cryptic, but determination is the most important thing. Everything about learning to fly pales in comparison to just choosing to begin, and choosing to continue.

Everyone has something they need to overcome. Some don’t take well to book learning, others struggle with skills, some have to battle bureaucracy, or the financial aspect, etc. The important thing is that they kept going.

Got trapped on Hogsback Ridge trying to summit Mount Hood for hours by bad weather.

To climb Hood, you start at the base of the ski hill at about 2 am, so it'll be light when you reach the top and you'll be able to descend safely.

Since it's a "day hike", all three of us only took minimal gear, minimal food. All experienced climbers.

You climb into the crater at the top, getting choked by sulphur belching huge fumaroles. Called Devil's Kitchen.

The crater is bisected by the knife edged Hogsback ridge dead center, which you then must follow up to the crater wall, cross a crevasse and climb an ice wall to reach the actual summit.

We were roped together, awaiting our turn on the ridge(climbers can't pass each other...too narrow). We dug in on the leeward side, cutting a little ditch with our axes to wait our turn.

The weather came in fast and hard. No visibility, snow and wind blasting. We dug in deeper, just below the ridgeline and waited. And waited. 3 hours. The weather finally lightened. Problem was, everybody else also had to hunker down.

This further hampered our efforts, bottlenecking the ridge even worse. We finally made it to the crevasse, but by that time we we were seriously short on time. Made the decision to abort. Fuck.

It was the right decision, of course. Never have summited Hood. But I'm here telling you this story.

There was a famous helicopter crash while trying to extract climbers that fell into that very crevasse. You can see the depth of the hole and the ridgeline as well in this 3 minute video

[–]screechhaterMRP APPROVED2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]KongKing131 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

And a thorough knowledge of mountain climbing. Both hands on and theory Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills is a bible.

Couple of competent buddies are invaluable too.

I always wanted a rural, weekend getaway property. I bought one a couple years ago. I paid cash. 100 acres of bush, fields, hills and a lake. It has a 100 yr old farmhouse and a barn. I go there for the weekend, cut wood, shoot, drink booze, eat meat, burn wood. My buddies love joining me. We always have a bunch of project to do such as building a shed, cutting firewood etc. We work all day, come into the house tired and dirty, then drink and eat. Nothing better for male bonding than to do exhausting physical work together.

Sometimes our wives will join us for a couples weekend. We work outside and get dirty and tired, while the women stay indoors and do crafts and cook meals. In this environment it's amazing that the women will revert to doing typical women's work such as making meals for their men, cleaning the house. My wife and the wives of my buddies will always offer to mix me a drink or get me a beer. I always say yes. They never do this in the city.

My brother likes to come up to the property with his 8 yr old son. The kid spend the entire weekend outside, riding the atv, sliding down the hill, skating on the frozen lake. We take the boy shooting and he loves it. We bought him an ATV helmet for his birthday and he wanted to sleep with it on. I want to build a tree fort with the kid this summer. The kid has trouble in school and has trouble with reading and writing. After a weekend at the farm the kid wrote a full page story about his weekend. My brother showed me the story and almost cried.

I dont have to go outside to scare myself. Just have to pass a mirror and look at how small I am. 😭

Beyond that, if it doesn’t involve a Marriott I dont camp or do any out door stuff like that anymore.

The last outside thing I did was a few months ago in East Texas. My GF’s parents live on some land.

Anyway my son and I built a 3-gun course in their back 40. We spent all weekend shooting.

It was only two gun for him, but watching him transition from his 10/22 on an AR platform to the Glock 19 was probably the most awesome thing I have seen in years.

Had to rig my drop harness and stuff to his leg with duct tape but it didn’t matter.

He put about 20% on target while moving but it was awesome. Still and prone he was putting hits on however.

My daughter shot a bunch as well, but she only shoots the 22 rifle. Wont even touch the 22 pistol yet. Maybe another year.

That all the excitement I have these days.

Ninja Edit: we all cleaned our firearms after to. Helping them tear them down, teaching gun safety, control, etc.

Super big confidence boosters IMHO.

I went during the monsoon and a civil war which cut down on other tourists. Khatmandu was under martial law and curfew (but there were clubs if you knew were to go). Maoist rebels controlled a great deal of the mountains.

It was awesome.

Started off jungle, some days were almost alpine, then the typical arid, Himalayan type plateaus, then after that rolling fields almost like the English countryside. No logic to it at all.

Some days were almost vertical zig zags up steep ledges, one was an entire day walking straight across a flat plateau - almost like a dried ocean bed - to a village on the horizon. Most days I napped at lunch due to exhaustion.

Only people around were porters, monks, bandits or guys in masks macheteing cannabis farms. Porters RUN up and down constantly with heavy packs. You will never see abs or calves like that anywhere else.

Near the highest point there’s a joint Buddhist/Hindu monastery built around a natural gas flame. And I hold something for a record for Thorongla pass to the descent - it takes on average 4 or 5 hours but due to poor fitness and altitude induced napping it took me 8.

its mapped out as 18 days overall. IIRC but did it in 14 which was doable. I’d also broken my foot in two places on day 10 or so, hobbled two days, then got a donkey down for the last two.

Food was exclusively dhal - lentils and rice - and I lost about 20lbs over the trip. I stayed in a lot of corrugated iron shacks and after washing my balls in the second or third bucket of ice cold water I was offered, pretty much stopped washing for the rest of that trek. I was also left with a lifelong hatred of monkeys who follow you overhead, pissing and throwing things at you.

I did meet a western couple who flew over for two weeks and did a 10 day abbreviated tour, most others were staying longer - I was there for three months. And did both circuits, chitwan, Tibet and a few other things.

Worth a trip.

Maybe when I was so drunk I did a PLF off a 3rd story barracks balcony? Wait...that actually might have been more stupid then bad ass.

I once told a woman she was purty. Now that was pretty brave. YOu have to admit.

Every year my brother and I take my 3 boys on a 4-day canoe/hike trip. We canoe 40 miles total and then end the last day with a 5-mile hike in the mountains. All our food, shelter, fishing gear, etc. is taken with us. My boys pack their own packs and help cook all the meals, set up camp, tear down camp, wash dishes, etc. Before we go every year they lay out the route, look up water levels, etc. We do this trip every year without fail. Nothing stops this trip from happening. My boys talk about this trip all the time. When I am old and grey this trip will be what my kids remember most.

Learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, wrestling, Muay Thai or train MMA. Get your ass kicked. Rinse and Repeat. It’s humbling. The mat will always show you the truth. As a purple belt in BJJ, there are few things as rewarding as KNOWING what you’re physically capable of. Both of my sons (16 and 12) train and it’s a huge blessing to see how the arts have changed their attitudes. Be better today than you were yesterday. That guy staring at you in the mirror is your best opponent.

Just putting the final touches on my 9th annual father/son Algonquin Park 1 week back country canoe trip. Three sons, attendance optional, but never less than 2 have showed.

Started with lithographed t-shirts in year 3, that read exactly that.... "4th (5th, 6th etc) Father/Son Canoe trip 2010, 2011 etc)

The boys (and I) like nothing better than pulling in to a portage full of make shift wannabees who are wandering aimlessly, then getting out of our canoes and within 90 seconds, being headed up the trail.

We do each portage exactly once, and spend about 90 seconds on the far side loading up and blasting off.... all while dressed in the aforementioned identical t-shirts...

Rookies milling about have commented on our military precision....

The boys have actually saved my life on one occasion on these trips also.... Think foot trapped in a fast stream (me), while one kept my head above water, and another repeatedly dove down to free that foot....

THAT was a life experience we'll all never forget...

I didn't fight a homeless guy, but pretty close. Against my better judgment I took my brother in law out drinking after a long day of day drinking. He doesn't drink whiskey. We had Lagavulin 16, Laphroaig 10 and finished with Woodford Reserve. He couldn't handle his shit, got weird and "punchy" in the bar. He ended up really aggressive after the bar closed and I had to punch him in the face. I warned him plenty during the day to chill out. Long story short, he wouldn't go home out of fear of how my sister would react because he was leaking pretty bad. He went to the hospital that night to get stitches.

Backpacked 4 miles up a mountain with my wife and our 6 yr old boy. On the hike to our spot, a storm rolled in and fucking soaked us all and got all our shit wet. We set up a tent in the freezing rain in the dark. Shivered all night to avoid hypothermia. Got up in the morning and started a fire in the rain. Dried out the clothes by the fire. Chopped wood with my son. Ate dehydrated meals and survived. We all came back with a sense of calm and appreciation for life.

I have killed most of my SL5x5 gains, in order to put in the necessary cardio, but I'm lifting twice a week at least.

Facing the scare, cause all my athletic competitive life was explosive speed and strength. This has been a learning experience to train for... Pacing, WTF is that?? I have always been one to operate better under higher pressure and heart rate in the limits.

Learning now about grinding for the long haul, physically and behaviorally, for life. Thanks RedPill
