Gotta love those spikes. It's about time for another reddit shitstorm about us.

Edit: /u/squiremarcus just informed me that this is on /r/all. So maybe we'll see another spike just in the next few days, since many people will see it there and there will definetly be some hate-threads in BP-subs on this topic. What a great day this is for this sub.

[–]burn_bobonga 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We had another mention in /r/askreddit yesterday. "What subreddit do you regret visiting"

Of course TRP was right up there. Somewhere above clopclop.

[–][deleted] 39 points40 points  (2 children)

I had a non-related thread in a default sub and one of the top replies was calling me out as a TRP poster. She had gone through every one of my posts to quote the most controversial ones right there, totally off-topic. I did get down-voted for it, but not enough to change the overall popularity of my thread. My thread still hit the front page. I'm sure lots of people were made curious by her post, which is obviously not what she intended.

[–]awesomesalsa 45 points46 points  (1 child)

I see that shit all the time and it's usually females who do it. Literally they have nothing better to do than go through people's comment histories and poison the well no matter how irrelevant it is to the topic at hand.

Askreddit: Do you like French Fries?

In 45 and have been here over a year. There are extreme views here I disagree with, but the overall message is the bitter truth. My 15 year marriage has never stronger and my wife wouldn't be able to tell you why.

Advice to newbies: read the sidebar and use an alt. We are hated enough that you could be doxxed which can have real consequences.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Then let me be the first to welcome you here dude. Make yourself at home. I recommend you start reading the sidebar immediately. The Misandry Bubble is a good start.

[–]ferrum_cadmiae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I learn more, so much pain of prior relationships of my life now have "root causes." (My unknowing beta-ness.) The blinders are off and the past makes so much more sense now. Truth is a bitter medicine to self-administer.

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points  (9 children)

Just what I was thinking. It's like reddit as a whole has a menstrual cycle and with this data, you can determine when it was on the rag.

Nobody here hates women. We just think that women are fundamentally different from men, that different strategies must be used when dealing with them, and that the effective strategies are not the ones that we've been taught our whole lives.

There are some people new to this subreddit who are angry at women, but that's only because they haven't yet reached the acceptance of reality that this subreddit promotes.

can you find a comment here that's says what you claim and is highly upvoted?

assholes exist in every sub, but not one sub is judged so much by their "assholes" as much as RP is.

[–]abcd_z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did read some of your arguments. The only times your comments have been downvoted to negative numbers are when your comments are insulting and condescending. This tells me it's not the content of your arguments (which are sometime quite good) that are causing the disagreements so much as your hostile attitude (calling people "morons", telling people to "fuck off", etc.)

[–]1sumthin_inappropriat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't actually think I read anything where anyone stated that it's wrong for women to enjoy multiple partners. However, I've been subscribed for a while, and I wouldn't put it past some of the members here. Some of the people posting in here are very bitter and angry.

The only thing I've heard in regards to this is that those women are not marriage material. I've seen a few threads where they support this belief with data. I would actually expect to see conflicting data, but I've never seen it here, or anywhere else.

There was pretty big shit show yesterday on r/Offmychest.

Top post was The Red Pill is disgusting.

However it did make me aware that some of the sidebar material is pretty draconic and some of it taken from a White Supremacist manifesto. Which is fucked up.

I really like TRP and it makes sense and holds a lot of truth. But talking about women not voting or having to marry the person that raped them is crazy talk.

Maybe some of the material needs to be updated.

I don't see TRP as a hate group for women at all, but havjng that kind of thinking permeate this sub will make it lose all credibility.

Most of the men here love women and can't live without them. We just have seen a different side to them that no one will teach you.

So let's make it clear we love women we just don't wanna be their doormat to wipe the dog shit from their stilettos.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Anyone can say anything but if there's no evidence offered I wouldn't give such ludicrous claims any credence.

[–]violent_frame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only a fool refuses to hear the message because of who the speaker is, or how they say it.

[–]PathToMan 12 points13 points  (3 children)

until women have to sign up for selective service they shouldn't have the right to vote. there. i said it.

and i dont think anyone here thinks women should marry their rapists.

[–]2Overkillengine 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I'd go a step further and say that unless you have signed up for selective service and are within the age limit for drafting, no votes for you regardless of gender.

If you are not at least eligible to be called upon to defend your country, you really have little business making decisions for it.

[–]PathToMan -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I was under the impression men had to sign up for selective service. Shows how much I know. :p

[–]2Overkillengine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US you do or face jail. My point is that voting rights should be hard linked to your eligibility to defend your country. And I say this as someone who just got old enough that I am unlikely to be drafted (unless the military is desperate enough to up the age limit).

[–]awesomesalsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The elimination of women's suffrage is orders of magnitude less insane than making women marry their rapists. I'm definitely in favor of the former.

[–]Pirvan -3 points-2 points  (12 children)

Uhm. What? Women are human beings. They have a right to vote. I don't feel this should need to be said in this day and age.

[–]Senior ContributorSkorchZang 12 points13 points  (10 children)

Not voting doesn't stop women or children from being human. Hope that clarifies things for you.

Traditionally the right to vote is a male privilege, and doesn't extend to every man at that, but only some men considered to be worthy, experienced men by the community. The best voter is hard to deceive by promises, empty appeals to emotion, and impractical foibles.

Women and children are very poor voters in this respect, easy to deceive and manipulate. After all, the purpose of voting isn't for us to feel good about ourselves after the fact because we asked everyone, including the toddler, what they think about the gold standard. It is to steer the community as wisely as possible toward greater success. This is why the entire idea that every human being deserves an automatic equal vote is a good example of political insanity. Sure sounds good on the big red banner though - let's everybody vote and decide! The imbecile and the sage get the same consideration, what a fantastic system for feeling good about ourselves. Out with Quality, enter Equality! Times are a-changing, move over patriarchy, we is all president now.

If reasoning about this with me horrified you on some level, then do not fret overmuch, because although the system we live under is insane in theory, in practice it is far from so, since the voter's votes are pretty much meaningless in any case, and exist only to appease the slavish crowds with the illusion of political choice. Women should absolutely be allowed to vote here, preferably women of all ages including toddlers and senile old ladies, and I would venture the modest proposal that certain exceptions need to be made to allow for pets such as dogs or cats, or indeed hamsters, to also be given an equal vote, if the woman considers her pet a person, which most of them do.

[–]Pirvan 3 points4 points  (9 children)

Traditionally a male priviledge? If you go back far enough, only the rich men could vote, further back, only the nobles had influence, even further, it was a king (or queen, heaven forbid!) that ruled. Men and women are equally retards when it comes to voting and while they might pick for different reasons, they are fooled all the same.

Furthermore, yes, some people are more qualified to make decisions than others, some hold 'reasonable' opinions while others do not. Who is to decide though? Democracy is not perfect, but it's the best we got and so it is.

Lastly, I'm not horrified as such although I do see this type of argument as the reason why TRP is vilified, which is a shame when it has so many genuinely helpful aspects for men and women both.

I reject your reasoning in regards to women entirely.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedPillDad 2 points3 points  (7 children)

Men and women are equally retards when it comes to voting and while they might pick for different reasons, they are fooled all the same.

You're right. The core premise here is that, as men, each of us needs to get his shit together to have a decent chance with women, career & life. The shit-show is all around us: vote-whoring politicians, attention-whoring women, pussy-worshiping betas.

Men don't realize how embedded the "equality" virus in their mentality. It oozes from your words.

I was talking to a colleague yesterday. This guy has a lot going for him, but he's a beta chump and lousy with women. A few day ago I had printed out some info for him on holding a masculine frame. So when I asked him about his thoughts on it, he said there were parts of it he just couldn't read because he deeply believes in equality between the genders.

I gave him a good verbal blast of RP perspective, but getting through that white knight beta armor can be difficult.

[–]Pirvan -1 points0 points  (6 children)

I appreciate the point you are trying to make but I see a fundamental difference between 'equality' and 'differences between gender'. Equality is equal right to vote, equal rights as parents in regards to children, equal rights as human beings.

What I see as 'differences between gender' which is the other side of the coin, are the fundamental inherent differences in the genders and the best way to deal with those differences.

The latter is IMHO what RP is about. The former is a mysogonistic, sexist dreg that invariable leeches onto the true point and incidentally also causes the douchebaggy reputation of TRP. It's a fine line to walk and a dangerous pit to fall in. Equality does not equal beta thinking. As all other things, it depends.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedPillDad 1 point2 points  (1 child)

mysogonistic, sexist dreg

Some guys do take things a little far in their rants. But start looking around and you'll see that there's a hyper-sensitive policing of boys and men going on in our society. This is sexism. Yet we've become so accustomed to bowing to the pressure of not offending women, we barely perceive the current oppression.

Today's feminist-driven narrative indicates women are inherently good but have been held back by oppressive forces. Remove all restrictions and they can finally blossom into the beautiful creatures they were meant to be.

Conversely, the narrative reads that men are inherently bad and their masculinity must be held in check every step of the way lest they become monsters.

This narrative involves the classic Drama Triangle, placing women in the Victim role, men in the Persecutor role. Women milk the victim role and men are punished. Politicians, media, White Knights all clamor to play the Rescuer role for power and profit.

Just as children quickly learn the angles on how to play their parents, women have learned to play the angles regarding the narrative. Breach of equality is the angle frequently used to claim victim status.

[–]Pirvan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not disagree with you in the slightest on this.

[–]enticingasthatmaybe 0 points1 point  (2 children)

In the US, men don't have the right to vote. Men exchange potential military conscription for the privilege to vote. If you don't register for selective service... you don't vote, Jack.

Women on the other hand do have the right to vote simply by existing to the age of 18.

Since you are ballistic on your path to equal rights for all, logically you should be championing to correct this blatant imbalance that favors women.

[–]Pirvan 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Naturally. I don't know if I would say I'm 'ballistic' but I certainly agree with you that men and women should have equal rights to vote.

[–]Nicolay77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Women currently vote with their wallets more often than men.

This means they do the shopping for groceries and stuff, and as such are targeted by marketing.

That's the reason they have such a strong political voice now. Their opinion could plummet the shares of P&G or similar companies.

[–]anonlymouse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe some of the material needs to be updated.

Maybe, but I don't see a strong argument for it. The nasty stuff brings attention. Sure you have to sift through it to find the gems, but then there's stuff from The Rational Male and Illimitable Man that's pretty much all good.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its so interesting watching how everyone spews so much garbage about this sub. Then you get guys that read this and see how realistic and sensible a lot of red pill is. I'm sure a lot of people who read this are great people who have been screwed over too many times. But its so easy to victimize a person just because they frequent this sub.

[–]SomebodyCool 156 points157 points  (21 children)

I wonder how that's possible. We must clearly be very good at warping the fragile little minds of naive young males with our misogyny and hate, or whatever the current theory for this sub's meteoric rise is.

But really, if there's any proof for the power of our message it is the fact that we keep rising and rising even though the only publicity that we get is from people that hate e despise us.

[–]KaribouLouDied 86 points87 points  (6 children)

Yeah how dare the lot of you turn me into a misogynist. My life has improved ten fold you bastards. Thanks a lot for making me learn the truth and making my life better, assholes.

[–]3 Endorsed ContributorF9R 26 points27 points  (3 children)

You've just been conditioned to accept our lies that everyone in the world follows. It's all a charade, and we're all out to fool you. The moon landing never happened. Coke and Pepsi are the same thing, wake up America!!

Or, you know, TRP makes sense.

[–]KaribouLouDied 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Im inclined to go with the latter. But for real, if any of my TRP brethren see this, thanks again for opening my eyes.

Edit: A Ladder is used to climb with.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I normally wouldn't do this, but seeing as it's a subreddit about self-improvement.

A "ladder" is "a structure consisting of a series of bars or steps between two upright lengths of wood, metal, or rope, used for climbing up or down something."

"Latter" is an adjective, "being the second mentioned of two (distinguished from former)."

Don't hate me, bro!

[–]KaribouLouDied 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No hate at all, appreciate the correction!

[–]butt_sex_man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah fuck these guys helping me figure out how to treat myself and others in proper manners benefiting both sexes. Damn it all to hell!

[–]lifeisworthlosing 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Yeah that about sums it up, like I said over there I wasn't really aiming at engaging with these idiots, I was leaving hidden messages for potential TRPers because unlike some people on /r/theredpill I do want more people in contact with this stuff. I don't see it as more competition because to me it's about way more than banging women, it's about the man's role in a family and even society.

[–]Enisei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the funny irony in it is that hating it just brings more publicity. Thus more subscribers.

[–]anonlymouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't bother. Upvote any post you see with a link here. Visibility is all that matters.

[–]TheSKSpecial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not worth your time trying to defend this sub outside of here. Let them keep on thinking this place is some evil misogynistic rapist shithole, and we'll keep on being men and slaying the pussy they're not.

[–]obliviious 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I just read your replies, you didn't do a very good job. You just came across as angry and oblivious to yourself. Maybe try not spouting so much rhetoric next time?

[–]lifeisworthlosing 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Did you also check what I was up against, you got to get some context in there it was a shit show. These guys don't exactly come into this open-minded you know...

Also, what the hell does "oblivious to yourself" mean lol... Maybe you like that word a little to much but ironically it describes you well, you were oblivious to the context of my posts just like your oblivious to the meaning of this very word.

[–]obliviious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opposite of being self aware. Being unable to look at how you sound and look to others. To be fair I did try to use another word, but it was the most appropriate. :D

[–]UGoBoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you bother? What benefit would come from defending TRP? We don't give a fuck about outsiders.

[–]87GNX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't fucking defend TRP. Explain that we're all misogynistic shitlords and that actually fucking women is a hollow simulacrum of the sort of real, deep relationships that you can learn how to forge from reading /Relationships.

[–]edmproducerXX 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Take a look at the sidebar, under "Bookmark Our Off-Reddit Site".

[–]Locastor 10 points11 points  (1 child)

So I just read this fabled "EMSK post"

What a fucking crock of shit. I'm glad that the whiteknights (because let's face it, hamsters wouldn't gild) are so ready to beat back our evil that they'll pay to read this kind of whiny drivel.

[–]lightfire409 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously. EMSK's thesis is that when the man has all the power and control in a relationship, the woman suffers. And this couldn't be further from the truth.

I honestly think white knights are so afraid of power and responsibility, they will hunt those who have it and lie to avoid it.

I wonder what the first posts looked like? How crazy and/or revolutionary did they sound, how did they take off so quickly? This sub seemingly came out of nowhere.

Unfortunately, Reddit is bad for niche amateur historians.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should have some kind of a celebration ... secret misogynist women-hating feminist-bashing celebration ... or, you know, just to grab a beer with our buddies and enjoy the good company.

[–]fizolof 50 points51 points  (32 children)

/r/MensRights has 96000 subscribers. It will be glorious when TRP surpasses it. You can clearly see what's more useful.

[–]3 Endorsed ContributorF9R 64 points65 points  (7 children)

Honestly, fuck /r/MensRights but I'm still subscribed there to show support of their cause. The way I see it, they're whiny little bitches, but they're still sort of on our team. We gain nothing from bashing their existence or their message.

[–]anonlymouse 27 points28 points  (6 children)

We gain nothing from bashing their existence or their message.

We kind of do. It helps them out. Any time a feminist criticises the MRM, they can use TRP as a scapegoat, and point to TRP shitting on them as evidence that they're completely unrelated. That in turn helps us a bit as some people are more accepting of the MR message than the RP message, and once they've accepted that feminism is at least partially wrong, they're more likely to go further.

[–]humankin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People intuitively understand this effect. It's why feminists attack the MRM even when they agree on every particular point: as the MRM gains traction, feminism loses its control over gender discourse and unrelated anti-feminist memes spread more easily.

And to think: if feminism weren't corrupt then MRAs would never have bothered forming up apart from feminism and TRP would have a much harder time thriving from being incompatible with feminism.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brilliant. I like the way you think.

[–]mos_basik 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Your post confuses me. Can you confirm that the following is the same as what you said?

We gain nothing from bashing their existence or their message.

We kind of do gain from bashing MRM. It helps MRM out. Any time a feminist criticises the MRM, MRM can use TRP as a scapegoat and point to TRP shitting on MRM as evidence that the two of us completely unrelated. That in turn helps us a bit as some people are more accepting of the MR message than the RP message, and once they've accepted that feminism is at least partially wrong, they're more likely to go further.

I.e. infighting between us is good, because people are more likely to join the less radical group if it's not as closely tied to the more radical group (but at the same time people are more likely to join the more radical group if they join the less radical one first).

Did I get that right?

[–]MickeyRoarick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's talking about framing the dialogue, this is what the media and two party system do to control the direction of the country. This is also what feminism desperately attempts to do. If people have to pick a side in a MRM vs. TRP fight, they'll hear both sides and decide for one but in reality have been guided either way to reject feminism.

It's tricky shit that requires cooperation, however slight. Or maybe it's organic. I'm not sure, but it's a very powerful tactic at employ in the world for quite some time.

[–]anonlymouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, although it's not really infighting. It's just someone here saying some shit about MRAs being beta chumps, not any sort of active squabble.

[–]87GNX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting perspective. Like between us and them we've got our own damn Overton window.

[–]anonlymouse 19 points20 points  (18 children)

TRP is clearly more useful short term, and can be applied individually, but men's rights has important long term goals (such as alimony, which is mentioned upthread here).

It is interesting though to see that MR has been on a steady drop in rank since TRP started even though it has continued to see subscriber growth. That means it's growing slower than reddit is as a whole. I think that is partially to do with the reddit hate spikes that used to drive MR's growth are now solely directed at TRP.

Palpatine could be TRP's marketing mascot.

[–]JustReward 21 points22 points  (6 children)

I support r/MensRights and they fight some good fights. There are things they rightfully point out are bullshit, such as the state of alimony laws, divorce, custody battles, perception of men in public with children, and double standard assault laws. I think it's important to have a subreddit where those things can be discussed, and it always pleases me to see that they don't censor unpopular opinions there, unlike every single "female safe space" you'll ever see. It's a place for actual discussion.

However, I've switched from reading MensRights to TRP for a simple reason: r/MensRights gets me angry but infrequently suggests anything to actually DO, whereas TRP constantly gives me motivation and ideas about how I can immediately improve my situation, value, and standing in the world. MR is a bit too close to pointless feminist bitching some of the time, and I can only take so much of that in my life before throwing up my hands and questioning why the fuck I'm dragging myself down with what I expose myself to.

So far TRP's only real problems are when you get threads/posts that are written by people too immature, inexperienced, or clouded by anger to be making the claims they're making, but on the whole it's a much better and (surprisingly) much more positive place. It makes independently verifiable claims and provides anecdotes and evidence to back them up. You can then go and collect evidence on your own to prove it to yourself. You just have to be strong enough to unlearn some deep-seated and incorrect lessons once your experiments start proving TRP's hypotheses.

[–]anonlymouse 5 points6 points  (5 children)

However, I've switched from reading MensRights to TRP for a simple reason: r/MensRights gets me angry but infrequently suggests anything to actually DO, whereas TRP constantly gives me motivation and ideas about how I can immediately improve my situation, value, and standing in the world.

I agree. There's very little in MR that you can do stuff quickly about. Off the top of my head there was a men's shelter that got the reddit hug of death from donations that came after it was linked there, that boy who was going to have his penis injected to force an erection so prosecutors could take a picture of it, and funding the various men's conferences. Other than that, it's a slow drip of information to feed people. You can see changes year over year, but not day to day.

but on the whole it's a much better and (surprisingly) much more positive place.

I agree there too. MR made me somewhat resentful of female hypergamy, I accepted it, but in a resigned fashion. TRP had me actually properly accept it, and maybe even appreciate it a little.

[–]JustReward 5 points6 points  (4 children)

I remember that. The fact that zero feminist outlets on Reddit or elsewhere (that I saw) spoke out about that kid and the abuse he was going to suffer was just another nail in the coffin for my perception that feminism was in any way about equality. I can't even imagine the distrust of authority and anger that such an abusive situation would inspire in a young man.

I also keep in mind that if feminists had their way r/MensRights would be shut down and that discussion never would've happened.

[–]anonlymouse 4 points5 points  (3 children)

And we're going to see zero feminist outlets talking about the rape victim who has to pay child support. Get a few more and you have clear evidence that feminism truly is a supremacist movement.

[–]JustReward 4 points5 points  (2 children)

The feminist movement seems like a combination of feminazis that have a clear vision of female superiority, and simply females and some male feminists that don't know how to think rationally. This is why most feminist spaces ban dissent and free thought, and, not coincidentally, most male spaces tolerate or encourage it. Hell, you can't even criticize feminism on TwoXChromosmes which is supposed to be a female subreddit, not even a feminist subreddit!

They simply do not understand that human progress is achieved only when you're free to question everything and posit controversial ideas without first obtaining the consent of the majority.

[–]humankin 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have a more cynical view.

Feminists aren't any less rational than the vast bulk of humanity. Knowing how to actually be right isn't trivial for humans. It requires a lot of effort and knowledge. Feminists fail for the same reasons theists fail. It's ironic that so many atheists are feminists but predictable since the level of rationality needed to reject theism is low.

[–]anonlymouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be even more cynical. Higher IQ makes you more likely to be an atheist, it also makes you more likely to be an incel, and feminism is going to be the first thing incels go to because it's the primary movement that discusses sex.

[–]atleastitsnotaids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to unsubscribe from that sub. All they do is bitch constantly. They sound like feminists and it horrifies me that they are men saying that shit. 99% of the posts there could be used as blue pill examples.

[–]∞ Mod | RP Vanguardbsutansalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair there's some confirmation bias there. Look at reddit demographics and what each sub is geared towards. It makes sense we'd appeal to more of reddit's user base.

Just look at MR to know that being passionate about a topic isn't enough to make it take off.

Being right also helps. A lot of MRAs are ex feminists, but still have similar goals, but they're still missing the point. It's useful for men who really don't want traditional gender roles, but most men actually like them and want something that supports that (which is TRP).

Good. Not that we should care about converting BP guys, but it's nice to see more men coming to their senses.

[–]--_-_-_-_-_-_-_-- 33 points34 points  (17 children)

More Redpill converts the more Redpill daughters... humanity may have a chance after all!

[–]Hrel 77 points78 points  (7 children)

Let's not get carried away.

[–]GanKage 3 points4 points  (6 children)

Feels like something we should all quietly hope for..

[–]iSnORtcHuNkz69 11 points12 points  (4 children)

Hope is for the weak; Action is for the brave

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People are acting. Slowly but steadily.

[–]bluedrygrass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all mottos are good mottos, regardless how they sound.

Without hope, humans are nothing.

[–]ColdEiric -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"Abandon all hope, ye who enter here."

[–]ColdEiric 6 points7 points  (1 child)

More redpill converts mean less betabucks, and in turn less money for feminists. Time for them to be truly independent.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not a good thing, it means less plates!

[–]Endorsed ContributorMarsupian -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Girls making sensible and smart decisions? Where's the fun in that?

[–]Oreganoian -4 points-3 points  (3 children)

Lol nobody in here is having kids.

[–]un-affiliated 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Nor is anyone who starts a sentence with "lol"

[–]Phlecks -1 points0 points  (12 children)

Nah, I'm just subscribed so I can comment once in a while, I'm willing to bet many others are too. I take most any relationship/seduction/betterment sub with a truckload of salt.

[–]Nicolay77 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Everything should be taken with a pinch of salt.

But being too skeptic and doing nothing provides no benefits.

[–]Phlecks 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Everything should be taken with at least a pinch of salt. A subreddit full of guys of unknown ages and experiences behind cloaks of anonymity, with an ability to lie about literally anything they want? I'm okay with the skepticism.

My experiences with real people in the real world do me best.

[–]Nicolay77 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have a counterexample to your argument of authority: the guys in /r/keto have helped me improve my own blood exam results, and they did it through self experimentation, and sharing their results. They are in fact a subreddit full of guys and girls of unknown ages and experiences, except by what they post.

All the authority and real-world-ness behind the doctors and dietists that told me (sugared) yogurt and cereals were good for my breakfast only made me more sick. On the other hand, cutting sugars and farinaceous food out instead of fats has improved everything about my life.

[–]Phlecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give you that. I never had a huge problem with fitness so I didn't seek it out online, so I'm not sure of those experiences.

As far as social experience goes though, most of what I see on subreddits, this far from an exception, is pretty convoluted.

[–]Lightspeedius 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Absolutely. There are some fantastically insightful posts here, and there's tripe. And that's probably true about what I have to say as well.

[–]Phlecks -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

I wouldn't even say fantastically insightful. A loooot of stuff on here is tripe. I should also add I read this for the entertainment value, or more rarely to offer an alternative viewpoint. I feel like any sub that wants to be serious shouldn't be an echo chamber.

However, some good nuggets do come in every so often. Sometimes. In a blue moon.

[–]Lightspeedius -1 points0 points  (1 child)

The fantastic insight I refer to is men finding their own role in their problems.

Don't mistake men in pain looking to blame their circumstances on someone else with men looking to take responsibility for their own role in perpetuating their circumstances.

Any sub is a disparate collection of people rather than any kind of coherent organisation. What any sub "wants" is a fairly abstract concept.

[–]Phlecks -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I see that. It's always nice when guys see their own faults. However it's nice when it leads to them no longer needing to rely on subs for life advice, since at any moment they're getting stuff from any number of weird idiots.

Nevertheless, I agree with you.

[–]JacobTheArbiter -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Lol there was one guy on this sub with a bajilion upvotes saying when he squats he looks in the mirror and counts out loud "1 alpha, 2 alpha..."

[–]Phlecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's true...ugh. I would feel bad for people who look at that and say "respect."

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to be thinking that you have some sort of a point

[–]TheSKSpecial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, it could have been a joke post and he got upvoted because it was funny.

[–]TaylorWolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha that is how I discovered it. Some moron with a temper tantrum was comparing a logical argument to r/redpill.

I was on board with whatever "misogynist" argument that was, so bam here I am.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (2 children)

And SRD. I was browsing random during yet another boring conference call and that one came up. Something like four or five of the frontpage links referenced TRP in one way or another.

Mind you, not a one linked to TRP directly. No, it was just making insulting comments about redditors who said something someone didn't like somewhere else, but they have TRP in their history so obviously the entire subreddit and all 70,000+ members think the exact same way about something. So sad.

[–]1blahbergstein 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a post about why PUAs neg. Basically that they are distinguishing themselves from the bloodthirsty suckers - the usual.

Post goes up in karma for 10 minutes or so, then someone responds that I post on TRP, comment nosedives into the negatives immediately.

If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.

[–]CornyHoosier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was explaining the other day to someone that a large part of TRP population are frustrated and angry men who feel that way because in their opinion they were duped. I also pointed out that most of the time, the people who say really vulgar things are generally downvoted as it is irrelevant to the conversation.

When you think of TRP as a place for youthful ideas to mature; this subreddit makes a lot more sense.

[–]1FrogTrainer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since these stats were updated, we've already passed /r/nyc and probably a few others

[–]prodigyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is a good thing. The natural progression of subs on reddit is they start off small with good quality, get a little bigger and the quality remains the same and the quantity of it increases, then they blow up and either the community goes to shit or the sub gets banned.

I have lost probably 15 of my favorite subs that way.

Prepare to see false FRs and trolls abound, I hope the mods are ready. And ignoring the intentional attempts to degrade the community, we are going to see accidental degradation as bad advice upvoted because the number of non-RP and new converts will soon outnumber the experienced RPers.

[–]Drivernumbersix 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Considering this is one of the few subreddits that offers useful information instead of "lifehacks" or "tips" I'm not surprised it gets this much attention

[–]SeekingAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have r/TheRedPill sorted under the sub-category "LifeHack" in AlienBlue.

[–]let_terror_reign 16 points17 points  (30 children)

I'm not too happy, less left for me once the secrets get out.

[–]2comment 23 points24 points  (5 children)

Everyone gets 12+ years of math education. But how hard is it really to be better at math than 80% of the population?

Not much, crack open a thick algebra and trig textbook 5 hours a day and do all the problems in 6 months, and you'd kick the general population's ass easy. Then open a thick calculus textbook and do all problems the next year and a half, and you'd kick the next 15% easy. Might even be top 1% by then. Now, competing in the top 5% or 1% takes even more time and effort, but guess what, no matter how you do there, you can still outdo 95%+ percent of the population.

The point is, even with all that mandatory education of a dozen years, it still doesn't trump directed and focused will and ambition of a few years. And the improvement curve goes the same way.

TRP is the same thing. Out of the 70k subscribers, how many really work out? 10-15k? How many read the entire sidebar? 2,500? And how many have really just taken single piece of advice, like frame, and were happy with whatever results and left it at that?

You see, hitting the subscribe button is easy, the rest is not. There is an entire generation of video game junkies and computer nerds that sit all day getting soft and complaining about it but not doing anything. TRP isn't going to change that. Trumping that isn't hard. Complaining about the competition, though, will solve nothing other than solidify pointless apathy and kill your will.

[–]1FrogTrainer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read this comment on my phone between squat sets.

Fucking moto as shit.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's endorsed for a reason folks.

[–]anonlymouse 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Not much, crack open a thick algebra and trig textbook 5 hours a day and do all the problems in 6 months, and you'd kick the general population's ass easy.

Not even that. Just practice your times tables.

[–]bluedrygrass 0 points1 point  (1 child)

In a sense he's right, if you master the times tables you are already above the majority of the population. And i'm talking the schooled population.

[–]anonlymouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The schooled population has either forgotten their times tables or never learned them. Shit, my mom is now getting students who can't do 8+2 in their heads. Ever since 2000 something really bad has happened with math education.

[–]2RedPill4LYF 33 points34 points  (14 children)

Consider the fact that if the majority of men are red pill then women will be forced to change their shitty behavior.

[–]Misteralcala 5 points6 points  (8 children)

I want to believe! But seriously, this isn't likely going to happen unless we are smacked in the face with an apocalypse that sets the world back to Mad Max territory.

[–]Fzed600 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Or a law passed where men don't have to pay for child support (because she is magically pro choice) or alimony.

[–]Nicolay77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think child support can be logical.

It should be between one and five minimum wages per child and not a bit more.

Does the guy earn millions? Then a minimum wage is less than he can spend in a fancy dinner table.

It's fair for everyone.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

100k 1m 10m are irrelevant. 100m is where we start seeing real changes as red pill men. The manginas and feminists will kick and scream but everything goes where the high value men go.

[–]Misteralcala 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'd still prefer to explode mutants with my shotgun whilst hauling ass in my monster truck, pulling a harem full of sexy post-apocalyptic wenches.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You heard it guys, the votes are cast. Social change is out, mad max type scenario is in.

[–]anonlymouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's less. Once an idea hits 10% of a population, it spreads incredibly quickly and becomes mainstream.

That means TRP only has to hit 10% of reddit for it to become a mainstream reddit idea. If reddit hits 10% of the internet using population than a mainstream reddit idea becomes a mainstream internet connected idea.

We've got roughly 420 million English speakers in the developed world, 80% of the deveoped world will be internet connected by the time that hits, so 330 million. That means if we hit 33 million members it will quickly take over the developed English speaking world.

TRP's rank is quickly climbing, rank increase means TRP is growing faster as a part of reddit as a whole than reddit is growing as a portion of the userbase. We've still got a few years ahead of us, but having it in a decade isn't a stretch.

[–]2RedPill4LYF -1 points0 points  (1 child)

You don't think we're already living it?

[–]let_terror_reign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe so, but right now, I'm in this for me. Could care less about them in general.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I kinda doubt it. Filling the world with attractive guys will just encourage the cock carousel and reduce the incentive for women to do anything to improve themselves. Meanwhile women will be getting plated like mad and we'll all probably be banging the same girl. The wall will be worse if all the attractive guys are playing in the younger pool and unwilling to commit.

At least there will be plenty of sex.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I kinda doubt it. Filling the world with attractive guys will just encourage the cock carousel and reduce the incentive for women to do anything to improve themselves.

I disagree with this...initially there might be more cock carouselling, but filling the world with TRP guys will end, once and for all, the illusion women live under where they can have alpha fucks and beta bucks.

Men will stop marrying, realizing the shitty deal they're getting.

Women's Machiavellian hindbrain will take over, forcing them to lose weight, be less bitchy, and seek marriage younger. Women themselves will have know idea why they're doing this, it will just "seem right."

In the end, none of us have plates but all of us have a nice, quiet, loving wife that we get wife goggled to and grow old with in a stable, non-feminist society. Seems like a better deal to me.

[–]2Overkillengine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This had been my stance....a lack of bluepill enablers means that women will either start behave as actual adults with agency or become spinsters.

It is simple psychology- when you remove the positive reinforcement for bad behavior, you start getting less of it in preference to other behaviors that are still being rewarded.

[–]Endorsed ContributorMarsupian -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope, plenty dudes here just out to fuck hot girls. I left my fair share of alpha widows. I'm also not screening for partner count or some shit (I only care about looks), I love me some drama and shit tests are awesome. If you are looking for a unicorn I'm one of the guys plating her to make sure she thinks about my dick every time she has sex with you.

Maybe there will be less bp guys left to pick up the scraps but I doubt it will have a big impact. The post wall spinsters wont warn the next generation, they will hamster and yell "you go girl!" after asking where all the good men have gone (fucking the next generation).

[–]squiremarcus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Inb4 we hit 150ksubscribers and the front page is nothing but memes

I remember a woman in my class telling the group that whenever she saw a very attractive man, she would tell herself that he has AIDS or some combination of STIs. If she was still attracted she'd make up stories to tell herself that made him disgusting (I.e. Never wiping his ass, and things like that). She said she did this so her intial attraction to someone wouldn't develop into a desire she might be tempted to pursue.

She said she started doing this because of all the horror stories from talk shows and people she knew in real life talking about what lead them away from their loyalty to their husbands, she started playing this game with herself to trick her emotions.

All the girls in the group looked at her like she was crazy, most of the guys laughed, and I just kind marveled at how genius it was. She was definitely one of the most joyous interesting women in the class.

[–]ibangbang 4 points5 points  (2 children)

[–]KaribouLouDied 5 points6 points  (1 child)

[–]Gstreetshit 2 points3 points  (3 children)

What happened on Jan 4 2014 and June 30 2014?

Did we make the front page?

Anyone know of a good way to track this? I'm curious,

[–]anonlymouse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Someone in /r/AlreadyRed said spikes happen every 6 months. Seems to have to do with fatigue, people bitch about TRP, get tired of it (beating a dead horse), stop talking. 6 months later they're up for another round.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as /u/TheSKSPecial said, June 30 was when the EMSK post showed up.

On January 4, there were not one, but TWO posts disparaging us that hit the front page of /r/bestof on the same day. Talk about free advertising.

[–]TheSKSpecial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nihilists who are lamenting the spread of Red Pill knowledge are ridiculous. Do you really think that foraging through the scraps of a once great civilization for confused pussy is a sustainable strategy? We need this information to be taught in schools and explained to our children. That is the only hope I see for Western society and stories like this bring the love.

[–]2Overkillengine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a telling difference between short term thought patterns and long term ones. The lamenters are seeing more red pillers as more competition for the existing pool of suitable women, which is true in the short term but in the long term means that future women, having been deprived of blue pill enabling, will become incentivised to actually behave in a manner that makes them suitable for something other than a pump and dump.

[–] points points

[–]2comment 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Bluepills are bad for society. They are so thirsty, they have no standards for women. They pussypass female criminals. They will white knight and gang up on a dude trying to defend himself from some banshee. And they marry the used up sluts in their 30s and join the female led shaming of other men who have standards. And then they become bluepill sitcom dads who set shit examples for their sons and daughters.

[–]bluedrygrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sitcom dads... really nailed it, they're the worst.

[–]redpillshadow 4 points5 points  (3 children)

BP is bad for society. Just look at the birth rates in the western world.

Something like 2.xx kids per family. And what is even worse, the way society currently is set up it encourages the poor and stupid to have more kids and the middle class less.

Perfectly fine if you are blue and believe that intelligence has nothing to do with genes (see sidebar gender studies is nonsense) and that numbers alone will do. Horrible if you think that children of smart people will help the society way more than ghetto brats and immigrants.

[–]bluedrygrass 1 point2 points  (2 children)

2 kids per family? Where? The entire europe average don't even reach the 1.5 per family.

[–]redpillshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulled the figure out of memory. You are right the entire western world is below 2.

I just have that blue pill "ideal" in my head which was beaten into me since birth that the ideal family has 2 children.

[–]johnbranflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

United states is 2.1 still

[–]1blahbergstein 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It would take a generation or so, but eventually the younger women will see their forbears results and realize that opening their legs because it's fun is a bad idea.

Right and wrong will be thrust aside, and the cold hard reality that men want certain things from women will be accepted.

A man can dream.

[–]explodingham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would have never had this problem if it wasnt for the god damn germans. ww1 and 2

[–]1Jaereth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty awesome statistic seeing as the entirety of "hip" reddit absolutely hates this sub and it's message.

Or maybe... maybe all those guys who post in tbp and mock it, and all those posts of "OMG I checked out TRP and it's DISGUSTING"... Maybe they started lurking and realized it's not all that bad. Maybe they read success story after success story and tried to apply a little bit in their own lives.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a thread on /r/offmychest where someone compares us to Westboro Baptist. That, more than anything, makes me feel as if we've arrived.

/sarcasm

[–]yummyluckycharms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the concern regarding quality, but look at the upside.....

1) More men will gain greater understanding and thus, greater freedom in dealing with the people they date

2) As TRP continues to grow, more men will be able to discover it and find that there is a safe place that exists that they can come to and be free to men and to discuss things as men

3) Will lead to a broadening and crystalization of TRP - not only in terms of popular support, but also philisophy. I've noticed several times in several threads that people have differing opinions of what key TRP terms are. This is to be expected as the philosophy is still not really codified - but with more people joining - the push to do so will come naturally

4 ) As it grows in popularity, there will be an inevitable push back from the feminist bigots who currently profit from keeping men uninformed. This is a good thing - we need to expose to a wider audience how destructive feminism is as an ideology to men and how hamstering actually makes things worse

5) Perhaps the greatest benefit, is that the main goal of TRP - self improvement, will be embraced by more people, and this can only benefit society as a whole

[–]redgreenyellowblu 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Maybe it will be exponential like ebola.

[–]anonlymouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wouldn't be good. Hemorrhagic fevers don't keep spreading forever, it's more isolated outbreaks.

[–]itwasntme19 0 points1 point  (1 child)

we're growing because we no longer care how they perceive us. I hope we grow so big to the point where we need out own site and TRP becomes a movement of millions.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casual reminder that trying to justify TRP to others is a blue pill thing to do.

[–]EmbeddedAssets -1 points0 points  (3 children)

That's great but from my economic perspective, the greater the supply of alpha males, the harder it is going to be for those alpha males to get laid.

Not to mention the fact that for every BP man who wakes up, there is one less person to support the current economic system (assuming that the BP male thought money was only to be used for getting women).

[–]anonlymouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The current economic system is a disaster. Less BP males will benefit everyone in that regard.

[–]648262 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Alpha is not static. There will always be the same percentage, but the best alphas will be better than the currently best. It's evolution - only the best survive.
