1. Whats it about ?

The evolution of money and the change from traditional commodity money to fiat paper money.

2. Who is it for ?

Any layman who works and lives to earn fiat money, both people with a background in economics and those without will benefit from this short but very well written introduction.

3. Pros

  • Short
  • Easy to understand

4. Cons

  • Rothbard emphasizes the "impossiblity" of creating new monies, which the cryptocurrency revolution somewhat disproves
  • He emphasizes also the quantity aspect of the value of money above its quality aspect

5. Final thoughts

All in all, this is a must read on the world of finance and economics, alongside his other monologue "Economic Depressions: Their Cause and Cure". Even though redpill is mostly about women, this book is more about knowledge which is necessary for self-improvement. I have personally saved millions in losses and excess debt problems that I would have had, had I not read up on austrian economics and understood why recessions occur and how to position yourself to benefit/not be harmed by them.

Thanks for posting this. This is exactly the kind of stuff we need in here. The sub is focused on all areas of important knowledge and self improvement. Not just sexual strategy.

Great review too.

mises.org is a great resource on Austrian economics and libertarian political philosophy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
