MOD MESSAGEA Review of the Posting Guidelines for Male Contributors (self.RedPillWomen)

submitted by theScarlettWomanModerator | Scarlett[M]

It has come to the attention of the moderating team recently that the male contributing had become less helpful, more hindering. I think we can all agree that harsh truths is a theme in the RP world, however there's truth telling and then there's being an asshole. The latter has been more common recently. Men, we value your input, it's part of what makes our sub unique and different from the other relationship subreddits. Please review the Posting Guidelines for Men, located on the sidebar. Low quality, unhelpful, and mean or rude comments will not be tolerated any longer, not at the expense of our female subscribers, this being a feminine space and all. You will be warned, you will muted temporarily, you will be banned.

As always, if you see a problem with a post or comments, report it to a mod.

[–]JackGetsItEndorsed Contributor33 points34 points  (11 children) | Copy Link

I don't think it's a bad thing if the ban hammer comes out more.

Comments that are blatantly disrespectful or attacks should be a swift ban. Or at the very least a serious warning.

It would also help if all posts had a 'general male advice welcome' or 'female advice only' or 'endorsed male advice only'

As a frequent male commentor sometimes I don't know if a thread wants my input or not(I try not to post in these cases) and it would help if it's always clear so that myself and other male users don't overstep. I'm also sure on occasion I've stepped over a line that wasn't intended as we men may not be attuned to what's actually being covertly asked in a thread despite our redpill aware background.

I think the frequent male posters know that their presence could be permanently banned and we don't want that. So shitty male advice and shitty male behavior hurts us as well especially if it leads to an outright ban.

I really don't want this community to fail and if the mods think that a full male ban would preserve the community I'd respect that as well. There's just so few thriving groups like this one on the internet that it's survival is vitally important.

I feel that RPW and groups like it are going to grow in a big way in the next 2-10 years as more women wake up to the lies they have been told by feminism and the media.

If RPW is still around as Paglia/Sommers feminism inevitable arises I look forward to seeing the wave of new users and discussions and would be very very proud to be even the smallest part of it.

[–]Ether_Freeth5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Although I rarely post here. I quite agree with most of this.

I am mainly subbed here to get a read on the other angle and anyone not contributing in positive or respectful way should be held accountable.

The fact that men need a harsher more direct way of being communicated too is not of any importance here. This is a female space to deal with rp truths in a manner that befits their way of being. And any help we might want to offer should at the very least try to respect that even if we are not entirely capable of understanding their reality in the same manner they can not entirely understand ours.

In the end we as men are not women and vice versa. And trying to treat women or men as the other sex benefits neither something we as a community should know best of all.

As with all things a measure of moderation is key though so as to not take away valuable input that does try to respect but is an uncomfortable truth. But I personally have faith that that should pose no problem.

Good luck and good journey.

Edited: a couple of words for clarity and precision.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

I think there should be a flair for men that are RPW endorsed. You and Loneliness should deff have it.

[–]En-Zu8 points9 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

I read posts on here only occasionally and contribute even less. I hadn't noticed that many problematic male posts but i could see that if men come on here too often and drown out women it kind of defeats the whole point of the sub.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

They get deleted by the mods but the problem persists because the men aren't banned.

[–]En-Zu points points [recovered] | Copy Link

Makes sense. Well here's hoping I don't get banned haha. Can banned people still lurk or no?

[–]marlybarrow2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You can still read the subreddit, but you can't post replies or make threads.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Um, idk actually. I've never been banned from a sub, lol. Ask a mod.

[–]loneliness-incEndorsed Contributor0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

If you start posting in relationships (for example), and they find out that you're a regular here, you'll be banned from there for your participation in a "hate sub".

When that happens, you can still read and vote, you just can't add your thoughts.

[–]loneliness-incEndorsed Contributor6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I just realized that I do have it.

I'm flattered :)

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You totally do, I saw it earlier! Congrats!

[–]radioactivities91 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You ARE the guy who ''gets it'' :D

[–]plein_old8 points9 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Great idea.

If you let men disrespect women, you create a space where only damaged or weak women will feel comfortable participating.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Or a place where no women visit! :-D BP already thinks its all men pretending to be women here.

[–]vanBeethovenLudwigEndorsed Contributor3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Really? I never would have thunk...rubs beard oh wait, I mean...;)

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

😂😂

[–]ecossecho7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This is really good news. Thanks for doing this, mods.

[–]Willow-girl7 points8 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I'll make the Nyquil-Junkie behave! Or try to, anyway. He's a mischievous one ... :-)

[–]loneliness-incEndorsed Contributor2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Good luck with that :)

[–]tempintheeastbayEndorsed Contributor2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

while we're discussing unhelpful posts, can I ask an embarrassingly dumb Q? how do I downvote? (Or can I?) I've been assuming I can't.

[–]testmypatience2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Mobile or turn off sub-reddit themes in your preferences. Themes bug me so I didn't know there was one for quite some time.

[–]tempintheeastbayEndorsed Contributor1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

OMG you were right! Now I can downvote! Though I miss the pink so much!!

[–]testmypatience2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't miss the pink.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

are you "subscribed" to the subreddit?

[–]TurlessTiger4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Huh, has this become that much of a problem lately? I usually read posts but not comments, so I hadn't noticed.

[–]LifeHasLag1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The ol' list of biases, pals. Check it out. Familiarize yourself. Be aware. Every human being has multiple biases at work practically all the time, so be aware of your common ones and how to deal with it. Also deal with others' instead of pitching a fit against the person and not addressing the bias.

[–]TheBunk_TB1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe that thin skin has prevented some of the best advice from being shared. Lord knows I have just not typed something and screamed out loud a few times instead. I secretly pan for Intel so I don't want to get "s-canned".

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

  • contributing had become less helpful, more hindering

  • there's truth telling and then there's being an asshole.

You once deleted an anti-feminist comedic post I made. So just keep a difference between this two things or else this subreddit will begin declining and everyone will be singing this.

[–]bastardstepchild-3 points-2 points  (9 children) | Copy Link

I predict two months before this sub becomes a feminist safe space.

[–]RubyWooToo3 Stars22 points23 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Traditionally, women and men had exclusive spaces to freely talk and socialize among themselves without ridicule or judgement from the other sex. The idea of that everything has to be "inclusive" and considerate of everyone's feelings and opinions is the absurd feminist ideal.

I don't go into TRP and rail on men who I think are assholes or fucking up because it's not my place. TRP would also ban my ass in heartbeat if I even tried. RPW deserves the same degree of respect.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Well said.

[–]theScarlettWomanModerator | Scarlett[S,M] 13 points14 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

You can consider this strike one, pal. We want men's input but women are not going to come here to have men shit all over them. We love /u/JackGetsIt and /u/Loneliness-Inc, /u/VigilantRedRooster and a few others I'm forgetting. They're honest, they're tactful, they're red pill. Real captains I'm sure women would be fighting over if we knew them in real life.

[–]bastardstepchild points points [recovered] | Copy Link

You're fat and ugly and your pussy smells.

[–]theScarlettWomanModerator | Scarlett[S,M] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Aaaand banned.

[–]Nyquil-Junkie6 points7 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Don't be swinging your patriarchal white male privilege in here. I feel raped by your tone already. MOD! HELP!

[–]theScarlettWomanModerator | Scarlett[S,M] 7 points8 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

lol, hit the REPORT button or tag one of us by using the /u/ method. Or use your rape whistle.

[–]Willow-girl3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Rape whistle? Please don't give him ideas! The last thing I need is him blowing a whistle every time I grab his junk. Especially in stores ... that would be embarrassing.

[–]Nyquil-Junkie1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Searching Amazon for a rape whistle....

[–]pewpsprinkler2 points points [recovered] | Copy Link

I was banned by OP even though I hadn't posted in days. She gave me a 24 hour ban several days back for this comment and her response is here. "take 24 hours" because I "need to learn to play nice" led to this response when I asked what rule I broke, then I was muted so I couldn't reply.

Now, several days later, despite my not having posted anything new since the ban, OP decides to permaban me out of nowhere.

Honestly, this feels like a power grab by OP to impose her will on the community. This will necessarily cause the sub to become the same kind of mindless circlejerk that all the other aggressively modded subs are. Free will = ban. Unpopular opinion = ban. Have a penis and don't act like a beta orbiter? ban.

Red pill philosophy is not about coddling people who are delusional. It is not about playing the part of social worker with a retarded kid giving high 5s and gold stars for being able to take a poop unassisted. It is about tough love and hard truths.

When OP says this:

We want men's input but women are not going to come here to have men shit all over them.

Any criticism is now "shitting all over" someone. No criticism allowed. Redpillwomen is basically Erdogan's Turkey or Putin's Russia now. OP is playing the part of dictator.

We love /u/JackGetsIt and /u/Loneliness-Inc, /u/VigilantRedRooster and a few others I'm forgetting. They're honest, they're tactful, they're red pill.

Those men aren't red pill, they are just the beta orbiters who are telling you what you want to hear, and who consistently refuse to criticize anything. I don't know JackGetsIt, but his comment on this topic is typical beta sellout behavior. Loneliness-Inc has serious personal problems and a disaster of a marriage, and uses RPW to get female affirmation and attention. He has invested a lot of time and energy into trying to get people here to like and praise him. I had it out with him a while back when I gave him the hard advice he needed, and he hamstered like crazy in response. I have no respect for him, and in fact my ban was because I disagreed with his claim that men and women can't be friends.

So OP's comment really proves to me that OP's desire is to turn this into just another sanitized bullshit safe space like r/relationships, where saying anything unpopular or "not nice" = ban.

No truly red pilled alpha male would be willing to accept the dominance of OP and censor themselves for fear of invoking OP's wrath. I had already stopped posting out of disgust for OP. I take my ban with pride. Enjoy making a mockery of everything red pill stands for.

[–]loneliness-incEndorsed Contributor1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You sound very hurt for being temporarily banned. I didn't get to see your comments before they were removed - until now, when you posted a screenshot.

Look, if you want to bash me, go right ahead. I don't think you need to bash whoever it was that you were responding to. Lot's of women around here like my posts. You seem to have this thing for digging through people's posting history to draw the conclusions you wish to draw. Of course, you then know the posters better than they know themselves...

I'm glad you love being an alpha male. If it makes you happy, wonderful. You do happen to be very rude an obnoxious in your tone and mode of speech. You can deliver the same message without the rough edges. More people will listen if you do.

Reading this comment and other comments of yours makes me wonder two things - 1) Are you jealous? 2) Do you have a life? It seems to me that you're consumed with jealousy right now and most of your past posts are consumed with negative emotions. It also seems that you really don't have a life outside of reddit.

Become a more positive person. It's good for you. Wake up tomorrow morning and appreciate the sunshine and beautiful Spring weather or Autumn if you live down under.

Cheers!

[–][deleted] -10 points-9 points  (38 children) | Copy Link

this being a feminine space and all

if you're going to make this a safe space and/or require tone policing, it's not redpill and should be called something else. yes, there are people who are just total shitbags, but it's easy for people with fragile egos to confuse legitimate redpill criticism with personal attacks... particularly discussions about age/weight for women. the red pill is bitter and hard to swallow. no one said this is easy.

[–]SabirahNova24 points25 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

TRP deletes posts that are low quality as well. Nobody cares about how many chicks you banged in one weekend, the musings of your angry phase etc and those kinds of things are usually deleted there. Pointless commentary won't he tolerated over here either it's pretty simple.

[–][deleted] -5 points-4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

no one is objecting to deleting low quality garbage.

[–]Willow-girl18 points19 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Dude, by now we all know you prefer skinny plates with low N-counts. No need to keep telling us, eh?

[–]testmypatience3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

But brah you need to know it better. /s

[–]ivegotsomequestions016 points17 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

RP men's subreddits do not look favorably on comments made by those who think they know how to help in an RP way but miss the mark. Comments made by women tend to be particularly egregious because 1) they are coming from a different experience, 2) they tend to be self-serving, and 3) no one was trying to date the snowflake making the comment so her peculiarities aren't relevant.

Flip the genders around and I believe RPW is trying to guard against the same problems here.

[–]JackGetsItEndorsed Contributor14 points15 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

There's a huge difference between a safe space and tone policing. Safe spaces on college campus are places where people can go to get lied too and even respectful logical arguments are pushed away in favor of telling people what they want to hear.

Tone policing is asking to deliver the truth in respectful ways or in a delayed drawn out manner.

Redpill bans tone policing because they have a lot of angry people that often need to vent and be confronted in brutal ways even rude ways... but if RPW wants to tone police because it's community needs a different approach is has that right.

Redpill is all about being honest and excepting about the differences between men and women and there perceptions/preferred communication schema and that's what these community policies are reflecting.

It's the same redpill information just delivered differently.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's the same redpill information just delivered differently

Different ways for the different genders.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Redpill bans tone policing because they have a lot of angry people that often need to vent

it has nothing to do with that

and be confronted in brutal ways even rude ways

and much more to do with this. people who are not redpilled view this as rude because they have not built up the self esteem yet to take critical feedback. you're supposed to master your feelings, not rely on a paper wall to protect them that gets blown away every time someone says something that isn't worded nicely.

[–]FleetingWishEndorsed Contributor4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually neither of these explanations are quite right.

It has to do with the differences with how men and women communicate, and how you need to communicate to them in order to get your message across. If you say something insulting to a man, like "You're being a pussy" the main goal isn't to make sure he has high self-esteem, it is to motivate him to change his life. The goal is to get him to reflect on his life and say "wow, I really have been...". Men sort of smack the truth into other men by using harsh language as a vehicle to do so.

The same thing is not true for women. You can't just throw insults at them with the intent of helping them, because it won't work. They will simply fall into despair with feelings of inadequacy and helplessness, if they are vulnarable, if they are more cynical, they will simply ignore you. It's ineffective either way. You need to guide them, tell them what they did wrong, but also give them a path of how to make it right. When in doubt, remember to treat women like children. If you wouldn't tell a child they are going to end up alone with only cats, don't do it here.

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (21 children) | Copy Link

TRP is a male space, are you saying that's a safe space? No, this is just a feminine community. Comments like yours aren't helpful, this post is talking directly to you.

[–]testmypatience5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It definitely is a safe space. I got temp banned for disagreeing with a user's unrealistic and harsh comments. Don't post there much because I disagree with enough of them I'd end up harry caray in short order.

[–][deleted] -5 points-4 points  (19 children) | Copy Link

TRP is not a male space. read the rules. it specifically says your sex is irrelevant.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (18 children) | Copy Link

Well this is Red Pill women

[–][deleted] -6 points-5 points  (17 children) | Copy Link

if there's tone policing, it's not red pill anything.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (15 children) | Copy Link

Red pill isn't synonymous with douche bag. You can give harsh truths and not be rude.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (14 children) | Copy Link

rudeness is in the eye of the beholder. it's subjective. redpill gives no fucks about your feelings or how rude you think people are. redpill exists regardless of what or how you think.

if RPW is going to tone police, call it "tradcon women" or something else. it's not redpill.

[–]VigilantRedRoosterModerator[M] 16 points17 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Drop it. ಠ_ಠ

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Save us! There's a fox in the hen house! 😂

[–]testmypatience6 points7 points  (11 children) | Copy Link

You are passed reasonable in this discussion. Trp tone polices way more than rpw do.

[–]radioactivities96 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

he is possessed by a redpill demon, vomitting 360 degrees like the girl in the exorcist.

[–]Willow-girl11 points12 points  (9 children) | Copy Link

Shit I got banned from MRP for suggesting that 'dread' would only work on SAHMs who are financially dependent on their husbands. I guess the guys couldn't handle the idea that maybe their wives weren't responding with raw sexuality, but rather out of calculated interest in keeping their meal ticket around. LOL!

[–]testmypatience2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

lol. So strange for people to create complete echo chambers. I'm fine with a group doing their thing and trying to keep out trolls but banning over a disagreement in philosophy or something reasonable like that is just too much. Got to say though, I find most of humanity to be a bit more sensitive than I'd like them to be.

[–]Nyquil-Junkie2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

AskMRP banned me for asking difficult questions and making statements that made them cry or something. They really don't like to be face with the truth sometimes.

[–]loneliness-incEndorsed Contributor1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

But you didn't get banned from here even though you sometimes disagree.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy Link

'dread' would only work on SAHMs who are financially dependent on their husbands.

this is incorrect. dread works all the time regardless of whether she's a financially dependent SAHM.

regardless, the MRP sub is a joke and long passed the point where it's no longer redpill. that's why i brought this up here. RPW will quickly follow down that route.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Then leave. If you can't communicate your thoughts in logical and respectful ways, no matter what they are, this post is talking to you. Every message is better received when intelligently delivered and it seems you're incapable of that. You don't get to tell us not to call it Red Pill, but if you don't think the term applies anymore, then go. We really don't care.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
