I let my LTR show me her DM’s after she asked me about it. Does that show weakness on my part? (self.askMRP)

When I upgraded her from plate to gf, there were still guys in her DM’s trying to hit on her, guys she has never slept with or even seen in person. She would tell me the messages the guy would send and she would tell them about me being her boyfriend blahblahblah. She even posts pics of me everywhere. Now every month usually has one DM from a guy.

One month ago she got a DM from a guy and she told me to open it and reply. I just copied/ pasted what she said to the guy I just mentioned previously. He stopped instantly.

Yesterday she kept asking me if I wanted to see messages if a guy is trying to hit on her, because she says she has nothing to hide. A guy DM’d her yesterday complimenting her instagram and she instantly went to “Complimenting my boyfriend?”. He tried to get her attention but to no avail for him, she just kept mentioning me.

The few friends she has, her family, and people on social media have known for months that her and I are together. I don’t care if she shows me or not, I told her that I trusted she would do what’s right. I’m curious if you all think letting her show me DM’s when they pop up is a sign of weakness from my end, or maybe i’m just overthinking.

Mate guarding is weak. Being jealous is weak. Having a woman no one tries to DM is weak. Telling your girl to stop wearing make up and looking hot is weak.

She's giving you pressure, competition, and trying to make you jealous in the name of being transparent. I'd use a pressure flip on her. Smile, nod in approval, then say something like "If you weren't hot enough for guys to DM you, I wouldn't be here sugar tits. Just screenshot the funny ones for me before you ghost them."

Related scenario/question: wife, kids and I went camping w another family (husband/wife w kids). They're longtime friends. One night we were ending it by the campfire, lots of whiskey and beer. Having a good time. I left the fire to go out to my car to get something, leaving my wife, my son (7), and the other husband sitting by the fire. The husbands wife is inside. I over heard the husband say to my son: "your mommy looks beautiful by the campfire." It was said in a kind of shmoozy way. Then just silence, nobody said anything. Including me when I came back, I just let it go. Ever since, it's been bothering me like I need to confront him or my wife, ask her if he has hit on her before and let her know I what I heard. Maybe call him, tell him I'd rather him not hit on my wife. Or just let it go like he was drunk and its nothing to be concerned about. I have to add that this guy's frame is very strong. He's ex marine, and has done a year in county, several fights, strong good looking. Don't get me wrong, I'm high value strong good looking, not as alpha though. I trust my wife enough not to cheat. Dude's just a dog is my take. I honestly like the guy though and we've been good friends. I can tell he's not that attracted to his wife also. His wife has gained weight, she's about a 5, my wife is hotter, maybe a 7-8. Anyways it's just been on my mind and id like some advice if you got any? I've STFU about it so far

Whatever you do, don't show any kind of jealousy. Jealousy in a man is insecure and women smell that like a dog smells fear. It's ok to feel insecurity and to feel what you're feeling, just don't show that to her.

If your wife is happy and likes you, then her probability of cheating is small. Besides, if it won't be this guy trying to pick her up, it will be someone else at some other time. Be the best you can be and that's enough. She has a choice to follow. Trust her.

Remember, real security is being able to know that you can deal with life and know that you can come out well or better if something bad happens. If you have that, women notice and respect that shit. If she succumbs to a temptation, that's on her and she should be kicked out. Mate guarding is unattractive and demonstrates respective lower value to the man your guarding against. It gives away your power. If she senses that, she'll definitely be compelled to shit test, be it consciously or subconsciously. Stay the course, you're doing fine.
