The Rational Male by Rollo Tomassi
"It’s sex first, then relationship, not the other way around. A woman who wants to fuck you will find a way to fuck you. She will fly across the country, crawl under barbwire, climb in through your second story bedroom window, fuck the shit out of you and wait patiently inside your closet if your wife comes home early from work – women who want to fuck will find a way to fuck. The girl who tells you she needs to be comfortable and wants a relationship first is the same girl who fucked the hot guy in the foam cannon party in Cancun on spring break just half an hour after meeting him."
No More Mr. Nice Guy by Robert Glover

The Way Of The Superior Man by David Deida
"It is time to evolve beyond the macho jerk ideal, all spine and no heart. It is also time to evolve beyond the sensitive and caring wimp ideal, all heart and no spine. Heart and spine must be united in a single man, and then gone beyond in the fullest expression of love and consciousness possible, which requires a deep relaxation into the infinite openness of this present moment. And this takes a new kind of guts."
The Book Of Pook by Pook
"Don't SPEND your time chasing girls, INVEST it by putting it into your interests and desires, thus the whole of your life. When you do this, all of a sudden you have what every woman wants: Ambition, charge, decisiveness, backbone, kindness, stableness, and confidence."
The Power of NOW by Eckhart Tolle
"I cannot live with myself any longer." This was the thought that kept repeating itself in my mind. Then suddenly I became aware of what a peculiar thought it was. "Am I one or two? If I cannot live with myself, there must be two of me: the 'I' and the 'self' that 'I' cannot live with."
"Maybe," I thought, "only one of them is real."
The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli
"A Prince must imitate the fox and the lion, for the lion cannot protect himself from traps, and the fox cannot defend himself from wolves. One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves."
The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
“If you are unsure of a course of action, do not attempt it. Your doubts and hesitations will infect your execution. Timidity is dangerous: Better to enter with boldness. Any mistakes you commit through audacity are easily corrected with more audacity. Everyone admires the bold; no one honors the timid.”
Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
"To observe too who these are whose opinions and voices give reputation; what death is, and the fact that, if a man looks at it in itself, and by the abstractive power of reflection resolves into their parts all the things which present themselves to the imagination in it, he will then consider it to be nothing else than an operation of nature; and if any one is afraid of an operation of nature, he is a child."
The Art of War by Sun Tzu
"Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat."

How to Win Friends and Influence People:
"A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still."
(Never try to directly argue with someone in hopes that you'll change their opinion. They will only retaliate by holding their ideal closer to themselves. Change can only come from their own will.)

AKA "offer pertinent, objective info, but culled 90 degrees from the vector of conflict; it might actually stick"
[–]5pecial 2 points2 points2 points 4 years ago [recovered]
Can you give an example of that?
[–]SirHammerlockI 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago* (6 children)
Ok, so, a couple weeks ago we were doing social sciences in Psychology; conformity, obedience, locus of control, etc.
When attempting to change an opinion you have to do two things, be consistent with your message but changing in how you present it.
As an example, maybe NSFW, may offend some, but keep reading.
Not long ago, homosexuality was considered a mental illness, many homosexuals were beaten up and killed for their sexual orientation. To change this view we had to A) Be consistant with the message, that homosexuality is not a mental illness, and that we should allow them to do what they wish, and B) Present it differently. To change the views of straight men, we would need a straight man to share the view that homosexuality is normal, however, if this man were to go up on stage and preach to a crowd his view he would likely be beaten up. We would then send a second man, sharing this view (Consistency), who would speak and inevitably get beaten up. If we kept going like this, mankind's view would not change. The next time we need a straight man who shares the same view (still consistent) but does not tell the crowd. Instead he could say "Im here to tell you homosexuals should have the right to come out of hiding and not be hurt, but wait, dont get me wrong, im like you, i hate them just as much as you. If they continue to stay in hiding they will eventually take our women in attempt to stay secret. This means they will pass on aids (at the time they believed aids was a 'homosexual only disease') to our women, in turn giving it to us. I dont want aids as much as any of you guys here, so stop beating them up and allow them to show themselves, for our own bennifit." (Changing how you present your views).
Mankind needs to believe that they want to share this view before they accept it. This can also be seen in recycling in the UK, they were consistent with their message (Recycling is killing earth) but we didnt care, then they showed us how it was killing humans and animals, which made us care slightly more.
Sorry if this strays a bit, its 2 am and i wasnt paying a whole load of attention in class (Cute psychology girls).
Edit: words for better story telling.

any theory or books which help understand the mindset to be used to tackle persuasion the way you broke it down in the example?
[–]SirHammerlockI 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (2 children)
He says check this out, its more about marketing but has the same principles.

Came from a political libertarian argument but the stands intrigued me. The guy told a homophobe "Why wouldn't you want gays off the market? Let them be open, you don't want them pretending to be straight. That just means more women for guys like us!" Flipped the argument on its head.
[–]Kirkayak 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children)
The sort of thing I'm thinking about may be understood by considering a case where an atheist and a theist are arguing over whether God exists. Instead of directly attacking any of the standard arguments for God's existence (ontological, teleological, etc.) the atheist might instead offer his/her take regarding the psychological reasons a human living in a godless universe might desire a God to exist, particularly during those (rather barbaric) times wherein Gods first entered written history.

[–]krakosia 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children)

Yeah, it is simply the best book on the market explaining endocrine health and maximizing your T whilst minimising the downsides to high T (cortisol etc). I don't eat, sleep, walk or workout the same since I read it.
Worth every single penny. But if you don't have those pennies then the pdf is about for a fraction of the cost on scribd...
[–]RedWotan 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children)
I saw PDFs of Testosterone I/O and Bachelor Pad Economics, as well as an audiobook for The Happiness Hypothesis on TPB. Most of the other "red pill books" can easily be found via a simple Google search (filetype:pdf) or TPB.
