SUMMARY:

Bill Burr tells women what they can do to make their man happy—it is pathetically simple.

BODY:

In one of his new bits, Bill Burr tells women one simple thing that they can do to make their man a little bit happier in their relationships. For those of you who don’t get the REAL meaning of the joke, it is that the gesture women can do to make men happy is so ridiculously simple and takes such incredibly little effort, that it exposes just how little women seem to care for, and do for, men in general these days.

In reality, what he tells the women to do should absolutely NOT elicit the reaction from men that it does. But because it does, it brilliantly shows just how insanely low men’s (and society’s) expectations have become of women in relationships today and how, sadly, they still manage to drop the ball.

VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMTSDYx382I

(Closed captions are enabled for those who can’t make out what he is saying.)

LESSONS LEARNED:

-Men, and society in general, have placed such incredibly low expectations on women in relationships to the point where a simple and seemingly insignificant friendly gesture is AMAZING to the men they are with.

-Women today, generally speaking, do not make much effort to deliberately go out of their way to do something simple and kind for their boyfriend/husband, purely out of generosity, because they don't feel like they have to. Aside from women naturally wanting to be the one that is provided for, part of the problem (as Bill Burr states) is there is almost no dialogue in the mainstream media as to what women can do to make their men’s lives a little bit easier.

-Men are extremely simple when it comes to what makes them happy. So the fact that so many men are so unhappy today says something.

"And for 20 minutes, Bill Burr felt like a free man."

A great irony of modern life is that so many men spend years dreaming of having a wife, house, and kids. And when they finally get those things, what do they do? They yearn for the freedom and lack of responsibility they had as a bachelor. I've known way too many married guys who spend their weekends working on cars, or fishing, or playing golf, or hiding in their "man cave" drinking beer and playing video games, all because they want to get away from their boring and soul-crushing suburban life.

Fuck that noise. I'll live the carefree bachelor life every day.

Back in February 2014 I was in the break room at work with a colleague of mine when his wife dropped in with some cupcakes or something for Valentine's Day. She said she wanted to do something nice for her husband, and she mentioned how she felt sorry for single people on Valentine's Day. I told her not to worry about it since I feel sorry for married people the other 364 days of the year.

[–]Endorsed ContributorTheRedPilsner 54 points55 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That's a goddamn brilliant comeback. I'm gonna have to remember that.

[–]NAmember81 21 points22 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I feel sorry for them the most on holidays. Every couple seems to be fighting on holidays because it didn't go like the magazines, commercials, movies and morning news portrayed it.

My friends in relationships on Valentine's Day bust their ass planning and buying gifts with the high hopes that their SO won't be upset that day.

Boy, I wish I had got to do that too. /s

The non-conformist in me sets a special date with my lady on a day other than Feb-14 so we can be lovers and not sheep.

I'm permanently single, and I love working on cars. My home is not going to have any feminine bullshit, I'm not going to be disallowed to do something in the home I fucking built. Even when I was married I didn't have a man cave, because I did whatever the fuck I wanted. The first ex hated that, she still bitches and we've been divorced for nearly 15 years. I live in the woods, my home is small but the shop is large, and bitches can spend the night or weekend, then they gotta go the fuck home.

A friend of mine owns a house, and last year his girlfriend moved in with him. The first thing she did upon moving in was replace all of his furniture with stuff that suited her tastes, and my buddy didn't utter so much as a peep in protest because he's so desperate to be in a relationship. She even put a fucking "Live, Laugh, Love" vinyl sticker on the living room wall. If you were to walk through the house with its occupants gone, you'd probably assume that only women live there because there's virtually nothing left to indicate that the house is actually owned by a man.

It saddens me whenever I see a man sacrifice his identity because he wants a woman to approve of him.

[–][deleted] 122 points123 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

That girl put a huge ass sticker on his wall to remind him of all the things he doesn't have anymore.

[–]fatalbinoninja 47 points48 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Jeez, and I thought "work shall set you free" was a dark joke. Man that just puts an awful spin on the whole thing.

[–]douchey_mcbaggins 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Jesus Christ that was dark. POW! Right in the kisser!

[–]VodkaTankerSpill 35 points36 points  (43 children) | Copy Link

I can so relate to that. One of my best friends bought a house and had his long time GF move in. He is the only friend I have left in this town, but he may as well be living in a different country. We used to hang out couple times a month, hit up beer fests on weekends, frisbee, what have you. Now I see him maybe once in 3 months. His weekends are only filled with stuff she wants to do. Whenever I tell him about upcoming camping get together, beer festival, etc. he always checks what goes on with her that weekend.

Now onto the house. It is just filled with that stupid "Live, Laugh, Love" type shit everywhere. She filled it with furniture she liked, decorated with pictures she liked, etc. They have 2 bathrooms, guess who gets to use the bigger, better one.

[–]SPICY_BUTT_MILK 84 points85 points  (23 children) | Copy Link

"Live, Laugh, Love"

That is horrifying, suburban white girl basic bitch shit right there. My condolences.

[–]user_none 30 points31 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

For years, and I'm talking 10+ years, that damn phrase has irritated the shit out of me. Know why? Because it's always used by women. Group think. Hive minds. No original thoughts, going with the herd.

[–]SPICY_BUTT_MILK 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's irritating, but like a lot of things like this, I appreciate it, because it lets me know what I'm dealing with early on. It's like when you go out with a girl for a casual drink and she turns out to be a raging, angry blackout drunk. You get to go, "ooohhhhh, okay." and back right off.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (19 children) | Copy Link

What is the proper inverse of this nonsense motto? Fuck, Laugh, Die?

[–]korben_manzarek 41 points42 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Trevor Philips in GTA V replaces it with this: http://prod.cloud.rockstargames.com/ugc/gta5photo/0100/y-u1keVN7E-OKIolQ0ix5A/0_0.jpg (if the image doesn't load, it's eat, shit, die)

[–]The_Floating_Dick 26 points27 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

You've just reminded me of an interesting thought. I remember reading an askreddit thread where people were confessing about being attracted to something/somebody they are ashamed of. One girl wrote that she was extremely attracted to Trevor from GTA V this comment had about 500 points. I haven't played GTA V then so I didn't read any replies to not spoil it for myself, but I did remember this comment.

Then GTA V was released on PC and I finally got to play it this weekend. It was really interesting to evaluate Trevor's actions and behavior through the prism of that askreddit comment. Trevor is basically as repulsive, aggressive and sadistic of a psycho as Rockstart could make him, yet these qualities not only don't prevent women in askreddit thread from being attracted to him, but even amplify this attraction. There are no limits for female attraction like "no, he's way too crazy and dangerous". The more violent and insane the dude is - the better.

[–]Lashlarue123 9 points9 points [recovered] | Copy Link

It's true, which is why good men originally designed society with a patriarchal focus to curb women's primal desires for chaos and dominance by psychopathic men. Now that men have failed the feminist shit test, we see societal culture plummeting (US incarceration rates are sky high). However, we don't have to be Trevor always; just in the sack once in a while. Once she sees you get her primal attraction and can give her that while also being an upstanding man in real life, she will do anything you say.

[–]Bascome 7 points8 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

You think incarceration rates reflect culture? Na bro you guys just love jails and money and jails make money. It's the new slavery.

Also this is not a decline, this current slavery is better than all others that came before it. This is the growth of society you see, depressing huh?

[–]Trpidation 7 points8 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

My personal one has always been "Live, laugh, go fuck yourself".

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]symko -3 points-2 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Not to burst your balloon but no, you really want to leave this rock young.

Worst case scenario, you have a stroke and it's so bad that you can't communicate. You're a husk, you can visualize all of the bullshit that this woman is putting you through. She feeds you applesauce and doesn't change your adult diapers and spends your money on the dumbest shit imaginable.

There isn't a thing you can do about it but wish death would whisk you away in a merciful pity but you keep living........

[–]rundownweather 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It seems to be a pretty common occurrence. My friend and I used to be as close as brothers. When he was single we'd hang out 1-3 times a week. Then when he started dating this girl and that dropped to about once every two weeks. Once they "officially" became boyfriend and girlfriend I only saw him about once a month. And now that they've moved in together, I only see him about once every 2 or 3 months.

The only time he ever calls me and wants to hang out is when his girlfriend is out of town. If I call or text him and ask if he wants to go to a concert or the bar, half the time I don't get a response from him at all, and the other half of the time he says he can't because his girlfriend wants him to do something else that night.

I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that once he gets married, I'll only see him a couple of times a year. I've been making new friends over the last year or so, but it still stings that my oldest and closest friend doesn't consider me much of a priority anymore.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 11 points12 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

he says he can't because his girlfriend wants him to do something else that night.

Ouch. He has gone in deep.

Rest safely assured that their relationship will eventually end.

[–]HappyManBeast 27 points28 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I recently read a facebook post from a girl on a Overheard Sexism page (That's right, no source and out of context overheard halves of conversations). Anyway she argues that two men are being sexist for talking about doing something this weekend because they both had been granted parole from their girlfriends.

You can't win. Blue pill or red pill, either way your are a sexist.

My older brother has been fooling around with a girl for the past two years, and desperately wants a relationship with her, it goes without saying that he is a hopeless blue pill. Yesterday my dad had a stroke and was brought to the hospital in time, so I took the opportunity to talk turkey with my brother. I told him that we all take different kind of medicine that affects how we see the world. He could keep taking the same medicine and get the same results as he has been getting thus far, which is the girl using him as a emotional doormat, or he could switch medicine and try something else.

I told him straight up, "You are taking the blue pill, but you can switch and take the red pill instead" to which he replied, "Oh, you mean just like The Matrix?". "Yes, exactly like The Matrix!". "Well then, I choose the blue pill and stay in wonderland".

You can't help your brother anymore than I can help mine. Every man here is red pill because they chose the red pill. It needs to be said that none of us are Morpheus, no matter how much we want to help family and friends. My brother told me how his girl would just break down and start crying for no apparent reason, if that is not Morpheus right there offering you the pill, I don't know what is.

I have been trying a bit with a few close friends, just giving advice etc. One knows me from before, when I was recovering from a knee surgery and was gaming a fair bit, pre-RP, whereas the other one knows me now when I get plenty of attention and back into sport and gym, post RP. The first one I have just showed the RP out right, because at 21 he is incel and always has been, and he is open-minded though inexperienced and ignorant, whereas the other one I have just been showing RP concepts over time, although as well as being incredibly BP and ignorant he is religious, which I kinda respect, though he is just gonna get used because he has negative SMV. I think if I continue I would break his faith, but I think in the long run he would be happier for it. My older bro I have fed a few tid-bits of RP, and he is not too BP to start with, seeing he is certainly dominant in the relationship he is in, I just hope he doesn't marry the girl

[–]Throwaway_ned 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

When the Student is Ready, the Teacher Appears

I'm going to remember that one.

[–]nowoonocy 5 points6 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

and when you talk about this shit people say- So what do you want him to do, destroy his marriage to hang out with you?

[–]RitoRetardo 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

so hanging out with a friend once or twice a week will destroy their marriage? i think he's saying thats the problem?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe it might let the man reflect how badly he's being fucked, which might destroy her perfect marriage.

[–]darkrood 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

if that will destroy a marriage, then it's likely not that strong to begin with.

[–]VodkaTankerSpill 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha, yup free only when gf is out of town.

[–]52576078 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I know so many guys who live like this, and they are all unhappy. I despise how they go sneaking around behind their wives backs to have a once a month beer with me or other pals. And they have become total flakes, we'll arrange a beer, and they'll drop me last minute, because wife. I've basically dumped them as friends, but I don't deny it hurts.

They are good men, just blue pill. Even long before I took the red pill, I despised that behaviour in other men. So many of them just assume it's the norm.

I was with my brother (blue pill) one day and we bumped into an old college buddy of his. These guys were great buddies back in the day, and they hadn't seen or heard from each other in SEVEN years. I turned to my brother and said, "if you haven't seen or spoken to someon in 7 years, you are not their friend". He just shrugged, doesn't get it. Wife completely dominates him. He actually seems happy enough though and is a great dad.

[–]BigAl265 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I can reiterate your story verbatim. Exact same bullshit with me and my best friend. We've been inseparable since we were teenagers (known eachother 24 years to be exact), and I couldn't believe how fast he dropped me after he got serious with some airhead teenager he met (he was 30 at the time). What's crazy is this guy hits more ass than any guy I've ever known, but he got to that point where he wanted a wife and all the bullshit that goes along with it. Obviously the teeny bopper didn't work out after three years of fighting and make-up/break-up bullshit. Now, he bounces from one skank to the next, hoping she'll be the one. I see him maybe once a year now, if that. Its kinda heartbreaking, but I just had to give up on him and make new friends.

[–]HappyManBeast 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I had a girlfriend once, her dad was reduced to a stack of unsorted papers and bills in the home office. He wasn't allowed to sit for too long at the computer next to his stack of papers. Last thing I heard, he took up fishing.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]skoobled 16 points17 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

Men like this want another woman to love them like their mother did. Once you realise the improbability (and patheticness) of this, then my son, you'll be free

[–]bluedrygrass 6 points7 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Or they could simply admit to themself that not even their mothers ever really loved them.

[–]skoobled 8 points9 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

But that would be (hopefully) not true. Mothers do love their children... Most of the time

[–]bluedrygrass -1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

No, that would be (unfortunately) true.

Mothers don't really love their childrens, outside a king of utilitaristic love (the only kind of love a woman can have): the children is considered like a toy, a puppy, something that gives her attention and feelings, that makes her feel like a Beautiful Mother (TM) and that basically seals the deal with the male provider.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm sorry your mom didn't love you.

[–]skoobled 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

This doesn't make much evolutionary sense, though. Women invest heavily in a pregnancy. There was frequently a risk of death until relatively recently. Men, not so much - we are spread betters. It makes no sense to risk your life bearing a child and then abandon it before maturity. It happens, but only in extreme circumstances

[–]tallwheel 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

They're the guys in minivans/family cars that have a look of despair and longing when I pass them in my vintage GTO. They want a car like mine, but she won't allow it, so they're driving a Camry or Caravan.

I had an example of a man like that growing up. My moms sister won't allow my uncle to drive on the interstate, because it's too dangerous. The man had never wrecked anything, but she won't allow it. She is terrified of thunderstorms and forces him in the basement almost any time it rains, and they live in Nebraska, home of severe weather and crazy huge thunderstorms. She owns that man, and he meekly goes along with it. My dad would've never put up with that shit, my dad is very fucking alpha, as are my two younger brothers and myself. So I had the contrast of what to be and what not to be early in life. There is no way I will let a woman tell me what car I can drive or where I can drive it, what house I live in or what's in it, if you don't like it get the fuck out.

I've had my 70 GTO since 1993, two divorces and lots of rough patches because of it, and I've managed to hang onto that car, and others. The bitches knew if they tried to take my cars they'd get burned out hulks, so they didn't even try. They both cost me a house though, but neither of them managed to keep it.

The mangina crowd says that's why I'm twice divorced, because of that attitude / mindset. They're wrong, that's how you keep a woman around and wanting you in bed.

[–]RP-on-AF1 6 points7 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Two divorces because of a car? I gotta wonder about the women you're marrying. Most chicks I've dated would get pretty wet over a 70 GTO.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Not due to the car, but god the first one bitched about anything that wasn't spent on her, claiming it could have been used for the kids... Code for shoes and useless bullshit in her closet. The first one was bipolar, which means she was terrible with money. She bitched and begged until I let her "take care of the bills" and the second month after I let her handle them I came home to a dark house and found the back statements for the last 6 weeks saying I was overdrawn. She hid them from me, and even though I got paid every Friday and we only needed 1/8 of my income for bills, we were overdrawn by Tuesday every week. She spent the money on useless shit moat of the time. I built my cars by doing extra work, usually car related stuff like building carburetors, transmissions, and rear differentials.

She paid the bills after that, but always late so we got service charges, and still spent more than I made by a wide margin. I shut her off due to extreme incompetence and wild spending. She claimed abuse and took the kids and left, three times, and came back when the state money ran out. The third time I had gone back into the military to catch up on everything she cost me, and she moved 1500 miles back to our home state and played the victim card.

She was also physically abusive to the kids and I, extremely violent, and emotionally abusive to the kids. She cheated repeatedly, but I didn't kick her out because she would get the kids by default. Sure enough everything I did and fought for was thrown out by the judge, and child support kept me too poor to pay a lawyer, I was living on $300 a month. Even when she tried to kill herself the judge said her boyfriend could watch my kids. He started molesting them during her month in the looney bin.

She hid all of that until she got pregnant. She got the last pound of flesh from me back in April this year.

The second one cheated when I got sick from painting a car for her father. Together for 9 years, married 16 months. They set me up with a crime and I did time for something I couldn't have physically done in an attempt to drive me out of the state and extort money from me.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Dude I can't even finish this...I fucking start raging so hard.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

There's more, that's only a piece of the big picture. Ya know what? Fuck them, they can take from me, beat me down, throw me in jail, leave me destitute and homeless living in my car, and I will get back up and start building again. If you want to stop me, you gotta kill me. Good luck with that.

[–]BrunoOh 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, initially, but eventually they try to betafy you: "Bob, we really need a minivan...can we swap the 70 GTO?" or " Bill, I just get so worried every time I see you drive your motorcycle...will you not do that anymore?".

Then they start bitching how you "never do romantic things anymore", e.g. driving somewhere with her and the hood down or giving her those bike vibration tingles.

[–]widec 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

My dad is going through the same thing. He always buys new cars, and he wanted to get a civic. Nope, my mom doesn't feel safe in small cars, so he shells out an extra 15k or so on a crv. This guy drives under the speed limit and has never been in an accident since I was born.

He hates the thing now, he's going to sell it once his extended warranty runs out. It's funny, when he first got it he wouldn't let me anywhere near the drivers seat. Not even a year later, he's tossing me the keys when they are leaving the country.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Speed kills, play it safe and drive a civic. The best way to make a woman happy is to make yourself happy and ignore her attempts to control you.

[–]RedAccount1330 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

A familiar story. A co-worker of mine (whom I considered to be pretty alpha with plates and such to this point) has just bought a house with his current girlfriend (I say with, he is the only one paying for anything). He was lamenting how his kitchen has a tea pot too small for more than one cup of tea and how he has towels simply for show. It sickens me, I want to go to that house and smash that tea pot and burn those towels. I don't understand how a good looking man earning good money sells himself so sort like that.

[–]systemshock869 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

She even put a fucking "Live, Laugh, Love" vinyl sticker on the living room wall.

My first thought was that you took this straight out of this video, but I realized he put it in there for a reason and I can easily imagine losers allowing this on a large scale.

[–]symko 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Omg, I fucking hate those live laugh love stickers. Revoke his man card, cut that shit into confetti

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Has he always been a pussy or just when he got into a relationship?

[–]Endorsed ContributorTheRedPilsner 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

He wasn't always a mangina, but a few years back he decided it was time for him to get married and settle down. Why? Because all the guys his age are getting married and he's always sucked at standing up to social pressure.

So he started becoming desperate and needy for female attention. He started dating girls below his league because he was just that desperate. Finally he met an attractive girl who also liked him, and she's had his balls in her purse ever since.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The very concept of a "man-cave" is insulting. In years past the phrase "a man's home is his castle" was common. Now it is expected that a man will be consigned to a "man-cave", usually in the basement, which to me sounds more like a damned dungeon. I own my home. It is MY home. When I hear other men speak proudly of their "man-cave" dungeons it makes me sick. Men, never let it slide when you hear it; speak up and remind others of the reality.

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

Fuck that, they can be subservient to their bitches. Not my problem.

My land and home are how I want them, and it's staying that way. If other men don't live that way, I don't give a fuck. They can be manginas all they wish.

You can't change anyone who doesn't want to change, they can only change themselves. Getting some of these men to realize being a subservient mangina is a shit life is like trying to get the religious to realize they've been lied to their entire lives and their beliefs are all bullshit. Sure we can be examples, but they will still firmly believe that being nice, putting her wretched ass on a pedestal, and losing her run his life is how to get and keep a woman.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

haha nice. My main girl that I have been seeing for 5 years still tries to give me shit about the toilet seat when she comes over to my place. And to this day my response is the same....I flip her the bird as I walk around the corner. Thinking about buying one of those seats that comes up on its own...and installing it on her toilet. haha

[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I close the lid, she has to work too. Also keeps things from falling in it.

[–]DotishGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

To me there are only 2 options: Everything down, or everything up.

Both cases keep shit water from splashing on the seat when you flush.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe you should just try to put it down. You know, like, to be nice? You sound like a douche.

[–]iiMSouperman 18 points19 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Too right.

A few guys I worked with had this discussion with(against) me a few months ago, they all seemed to get engaged around the same time, like they were just doing what's considered "cool" among friends. The discussion led to them basically saying I'll "grow up one day" and change my mind.

Not one of them is "allowed" out as often any more, gaming/drinking is kept to a minimum - they've become bores within mere months. It's a bitter sweet "hate to say I told you so" because I've started to lose some good buddies, but they are the ones that got sucked in, so c'est la vie.

[–]Endorsed ContributorTheRedPilsner 24 points25 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I've also had people tell me that some day I'll "grow up" and decide I want to settle down with a nice girl.

I just smirk and say "Maybe, but until that happens I guess I'll just have to keep on doing everything I want, all of the time."

[–]networking_noob 28 points29 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

A great irony of modern life is that so many men spend years dreaming of having a wife, house, and kids. And when they finally get those things, what do they do? They yearn for the freedom and lack of responsibility they had as a bachelor.

relevant Bill Burr quote

[–]hiphoprising 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow, I haven't seen this before. Good share.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Because we've been programmed to want that and programmed to think a great life that way is attainable. It's really sad.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Man, my brother did that. He is 41 now and miserable. Had tons of women and short term relationships. A few long ones as well. But he is now hitting middle age, has a huge ass house, makes 140k/year, two cars, but just doesnt have anything or anyone to share it with.

He doesnt want a wife or a girlfriend. He DOES want a child.

Dont get me wrong - staying a bachelor is amazing if you can make it work for you. But after a certain age when you've had your fun, you just want to watch others take their turn.

[–]WellHungMan 8 points9 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

41 is a fine age to date and get married, what's his problem? My friend had a kid at 45, and it's great because he can actually afford to have one, unlike when he was younger.

[–]rundownweather 3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

I would like to become a father sooner than that. 35 is a fine age IMO - any younger, and you're probably too poor to afford kids. Any older, and you'll probably won't live to see your grandkids.

Of course, I'm not American, so I'm taking into account the fact that it'll be a little harder for me to find a good job and make moolah.

[–]NAmember81 6 points7 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

My uncle is 60 and just had his first kid. He said he was so excited to see his kid didn't have any extra arms or legs.

[–]Sherlock--Holmes 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

What's his problem? Have you seen the choices out there? Have you seen the laws that favor them? What's his problem, why would he be hesitant to stick his leg in a bear trap?

[–]WellHungMan 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not personally advocating getting married, I think it's a stupid idea.

[–]chances_are_ur_a_fag 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

that is the truth though. it's in a man's genes to be a provider and a protector. as much as we love our freedom, we still want to live for someone, whether it's a kid or a woman. just have to balance it right.

[–]Throwaway_ned 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

If he's making 140K a year, he can afford to have a child through surrogacy. The best part of doing it that way is that no one can legally take your child away unless you're an abusive douche bag. There are countries that will charge around 30K for one child. He should really look into it.

[–]skiff151 6 points6 points [recovered] | Copy Link

Do people actually dream about that?

I think this might be a cultural (american) thing, I live in London and exactly none of my friends are looking forward to getting married and having kids. People put it off until they are like 35 and even then only do it because they are exhausted by the party lifestyle or because of some kind of existential need to produce thta they can't put off any more because of biological reasons. Nobody dreams of living in a shit suburb and commuting to work and having a fat wife and buying furniture all day. Do they?

It's clearly shit.

Edit: I do WANT kids and I'd like to have a wife to share my life with when I get old. But I don't look forward to it. To me it's like thinking about a nice retirement, I want it eventually but not now.

[–]Endorsed ContributorTheRedPilsner 6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Do people actually dream about that?

Where I'm from they do. I come from a conservative area of the United States that doesn't have a real big party subculture. There is a lot of social pressure here for young people to get married and start a family before they get too old. It's fairly common for people to get married within a few years of graduating high school, and many people here honestly believe that if you've never been married by the time you're 30 then there must be something wrong with you. They've been conditioned to believe that marriage and family is the only path to a happy life, and single people are to be pitied (or shunned, if said person is single by choice).

Granted, not everybody here is like that. But a significant amount of people are.

[–]skiff151 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow. That must be tough. Its very much the opposite here. People who marry before 28 say would be seen as backwards and kinda lame.

Do you think that plays a lot into the AF/BB mindset and a lot of the behaviours we see here?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's difficult, but as a man with a committed partner and a little daughter, I find that I appreciate the fact that I have to work for the good things in life, and for some men, what is better than having a loving family that looks to you as the leader? What is better than having a child that you can, in some way, see as being all that will be left of you in the world after you are gone?

Just another perspective. I often think this when I am sitting in my man cave drinking beer and playing video games :)

[–]Myrpl 2 points3 points  (10 children) | Copy Link

Fuck that noise. I'll live the carefree bachelor life every day.

I'd do the same if money weren't a problem.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (9 children) | Copy Link

How is money more of a problem when you're a bachelor?

[–][deleted] 22 points23 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

If you live in magical fantasy land and have a girlfriend who earns as much as you do, contributes fairly to the rent and doesn't spend too much money on stupid stuff, then living together is cheaper.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Or just get a bro roommate. Less drama and you got someone who's got your back. Same price... maybe cheaper since you don't have to give bs gifts with little to no chance of reciprocation.

[–]1Mikesapien -1 points0 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

2 incomes > 1. Can't argue with the man's logic, but I wouldn't agree it's worth it.

[–]sicknick 21 points22 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Nah dude, it breeds complacency. I'm older and have seen some dudes I grew up with that can only float from gf to gf because they can't fend for themselves. I grew up kinda poor, lower middle class. I'm 33 and cleared 75k last year and I know getting kicked on my ass was an inspiration for doing it by myself. 75k single is better than 130k with a gf...if you don't believe me we can go on my boat and I'll tell you guys all about it.

[–]mrpCamper 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

75K alone is better than 200k with wife.

[–]chances_are_ur_a_fag 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

33 here too, agree with all you said.. I got lucky though and my chick has a good income herself as well and we don't pool our money together. keep all that separate. she contributes fairly to everything even when I tell her it's cool don't worry about it. just gotta teach her ass to clean better. also, she's not american.

[–]1Mikesapien 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

True that.

Out of curiosity, what business are you in?

[–]Sherlock--Holmes 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

He might live with a woman who has a home already..

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean it's not so much that the bachelor life is inherently better. People just want what they don't/can't have.

[–]SCROTAL-SACK 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

A great irony of modern life is that so many men spend years dreaming of having a wife, house, and kids.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Getting married and having kids doesn't result in a boring suburban soul-crushing life. Being a lazy, boring idiot who stops trying at life results in that situation.

To me, a family isn't just shit I got roped into and have to spend my money on. It's a base of power for me. It also keeps me focused, because I literally do not give a shit about what women, feminists, tumblr, the media, or anyone else thinks because at home, I'm Lord Commander Chad Thundercock III. And all I care about is expanding my family's position, prestige, territory, and power. IMO, that's a key to how you maintain frame in a marriage. To be honest, I didn't even think like this until I started watching Game of Thrones, and then dug deeper into real life examples through modern and ancient history.

There's a third way between being a rudderless hedonist bachelor, and being a pathetic man cave dwelling beta provider.

As much as women want a man who just gets it, men too want the same thing. Both sexes want someone who treats them right without being told how to do it.

The sole difference between a man who gets it and a woman who gets it is the amount of effort required. Make your man a sandwich every now, be pleasant and stay in shape. Pretty fucking simple.

[–][deleted] 24 points25 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

And waking me up with a blowjob.

[–]tsudonimh 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I had an amusing conversation with some of the guys at work about what they'd put up with from a woman if they got regularly woken with blow jobs. The results were both depressing and hilarious.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

stay in shape

To be fair, a lot of guys won't mind a bit chubby as thier women age. But don't turn into a hambeast. You give women an inch and they take a mile. You're ok with a bit of fat, you will end up with obese. You're ok with a bit of hair, you will get a caveman and so on.

[–]1Mikesapien 99 points100 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Someone once described love to me thusly:

  • Men demonstrate their love through deeds and gestures.

  • Women demonstrate their love through words.

It's simple, yet elegantly describes the difference between masculine v. feminine emotional expression. Men and women think differently, and therefore behave differently.

So when a man says,

"You never make any effort to do things for me!"

it's tantamount to when a woman says,

"You never tell me you love me!"

To solve either dilemma, reciprocate your affection in a manner your partner will understand.

  • Men, use your words (sparingly). Occasionally verbally remind your woman that you love her.

  • Women, use your hands. Clean, cook, or fuck your man out of the blue once in a while.

Neither action is especially complicated, but they go a long way towards a happier relationship.

[–]HappyManBeast 8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Women love words, but I will argue that creating a situation around the words is what really matters.

You have all seen those fucking beta proposals where some guy books the entire restaurant and hires extras to stop at a certain moment, so the he can "freeze time". Women love that shit, because you can't just stop there, and continue to eat steak as you would in a perfect world, instead you have to follow it up with words. Nothing less than a declaration of eternal love will do.

But the beauty is, that you don't need a whole fucking restaurant, you can just reverse the idea and freeze her and yourself in the middle of an busy street. Hold her hands, look into her eyes, smile and fucking stand still, before you say what you need to say.

It is the little dance (vulnerability) before the delivery that makes it worth it for women. Men want the effort that are put into the nurture.

If you just say, "I love you", with no build up, you might as well just record and play it back, and she could just order take-out.

That's my two cents anyway.

[–]StraightTalkM 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Actually, I'd say that men do too much doting on women nowadays. Its basically devaluing what they do.

[–]1Mikesapien 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Hence the "sparingly." I would agree men dote too much in general, but I was addressing women who say "You never tell me you love me" specifically. You can err in either direction, too much or too little. As with all things, it's about finding a balance.

[–]Senior Endorsed ContributorNightwingTRP 136 points137 points  (37 children) | Copy Link

"And for 20 minutes, Bill Burr felt like a free man."

In fairness... women do very little for men today... but they will certainly go out of their way for Chad. One of my plates has an ever-growing list of things she "owes" me... just finding things she knows I'll like and doing them. She's ticked off a few, but keeps finding more. I'm going to add make me a roast beef and mustard sandwich to that list... with a beer.

[–][deleted] 60 points61 points  (24 children) | Copy Link

A recent LTR of mine is going to be flying halfway around the world to see me and bring me things I miss from her country in a month or so all on her own dime. She could easily fly somewhere far more interesting for the money she's paying, but there are no limits for Chad. I can see her motivation 1000 miles away, but the point is women can really be quite loving and giving... for their chosen Alpha.

The points Bill brings to the table really brings questions to my mind.

  • How many of the women in the audience are actually attracted to/"in love" with their husbands that a sandwich is a laughable affair?

  • How many of those men were once alphas who had their balls sanded away by years of servitude?

  • What percentage of men getting married this year will be able to honestly say they are happily married (to the same woman) 25 years from now?

I have to say I'm thankful for TRP constantly reminding me that marriage is a bad idea. I would love to be married to a woman who truly loved me (like the girl I mentioned above does) the entirety of our lives together, but I know that woman likely does not exist.

[–][deleted] 28 points29 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

women can really be quite loving and giving... for their chosen Alpha.

You're right, until they get bored with him. My ex was completely obsessed with me and bent over backwards for me on many occasions. Then the switch flipped and she was a different woman overnight. I will never understand the female brain.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 30 points31 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

It's simple, she found a better Chad.

Maybe she didn't cheat, but she was thinking about it

[–]DrDindu 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think your logic is flawed, thinking about cheating is natural, even the most devout has probably thought about fucking their neighbour, men and women included.

I think what you meant was perhaps she wasn't just entertaining the thought but was actively ready to engage should the right man appear, which is a step further than thinking about it all together.

[–]bluedrygrass 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

I will never understand the female brain.

You can't understand or predict chaos. There's nothing more in there.

[–]tallwheel 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The female brain is simple and predictable. This is the fallacy too many guys make. 'They can't be understood.' Bullshit. This sub proves they can.

My GF regulary buys me stuff. Half the clothes in my wardrobe were bought by her. She bought me my TV as well. She pays for the bill at least 4 times out of 10 when we go out.

One particular week I was having a terrible time at my business and didnt even have cash for groceries. She was in another city at that time. I casually mentioned that I'm out of cash and will have to eat ramen for a week.

She ordered food for me through a food delivery app. Then paid a grocery delivery service to send a week's worth of my favorite foods to my house.

So yeah, some women are very nurturing

[–]Dukedomb 4 points5 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

[–]Endorsed ContributorAFPJ 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

RP helps even with women like /u/spaceman2121 mentions; more importantly it protects you from the vast majority of women who are unfit for a relationship long enough for you to have a statistical chance of finding one that is - it also helps knowing how to manage yourself as well as your bitch in an LTR and how to identify / fix your fuck-ups early on.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Not if you separate the wheat from the chaff

The bitter anti women attitude is stupid.

Understanding what makes women tick on a more basic and instinctual level is important

Honestly if you just understand the basic concept of 'don't be a doormat, stand your ground, be a leader' you know what you need to know

[–]indnthroway 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

That's so sweet. Didn't expect to see a randian in r/theredpill.

Can you give a fellow randian some tips on how to get a sweet girlfriend like yours? My problem is not that I'm bad looking, I'd say a 7/10. I see women checking me out. However, I seem to turn women off when I talk to them. Plus I'm really not sure how to approach women, especially over here where women are so paranoid about random men approaching them.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Well honestly, all I know about getting girls is what I learned from the DoubleYourDating book. That was a legendary book back in my day and changed the way I approached women. I used to worry about looks but it turns out, looks matter only if you are exceptionally ugly or exceptionally handsome. For a majority of men, its all about how you can make the woman feel

[–]qwerty622 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes. The fact is she calls it a vacation, however she just so happens to be spending all of said vacation in my city which is not much of a tourist destination.

The posts you likely refer to are from BB's LTR going on a trip and inevitably fucking a local Chad. Perhaps I should have clarified she is not currently my LTR partner, as I do not believe in LDR, however as I do get along quite well with her I don't mind her visiting me at all. If she falls on another dick before or after well AWALT. (Admittedly I am curious if she would or if she is truly loyal to me. I think that's just the remnants of my blue self talking.)

Like I hinted earlier there is no doubt in my mind that her true motive is to snag me into continuing our relationship and eventually domesticating me. Thank TRP for making me aware of the fact.

I'm just comparing my old LTR to my latest TRP LTR.

Old relationship, on period = no sex. New relationship, on period = blowjobs every time I see her.

Old relationship, never did shit to help me unquestioned. New relationship, goes out of her way to make my life easier without me asking, IE cleaning up/making me food etc.

Old relationship, entitled/semi feminist bitch. New relationship, cute submissive and happy to let me lead on everything.

AWALT, but if you act like chad, or rich chad in my case ;) the effect you get from the women is like night and day.

[–]Trpidation 4 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Note that the beta lions hunt for themselves. The female lions hunt for themselves, their cubs, and the alpha. Back in my blue pill days I lived with a couple of strippers. One of them had a fuckbuddy (one of many) that when she got the urge for would often have to pay him to leave work early to come over and fuck her. Only about $20-$30, 'cause he was a minimum wage jackass, but still ...

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Could you give us some context for this girl (background, parenting, dating history etc)?

I've been in a similar situation but my SMV was noticeably higher than hers and there was constant light/medium dread (due to the difference). I ask because if this result could be replicated with any girl on the SMV scale, that would be something worth exploring.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not who you posed the question to, but I will answer.

You have your body and your mind. Your body is capped to your physical attractiveness. Your mind and everything that you can do with it is not capped.

Max out your physical attractiveness, the rest is your mind and what you can accomplish with it.

[–]Senior Endorsed ContributorNightwingTRP 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The response by /u/MoneyStatusLooks gives you a good idea. It's a personality thing... combined with my own dominant actions. She is naturally one of these women who likes to give and make others happy. Once you know that, just supply her with ideas and she'll do the rest.

TRP isn't about manipulation, it's about identifying the qualities in a woman... walking away from the overly bitchy and entitled ones who're more trouble than they're worth... and then allowing nature to take its course with the women who have less baggage/problems. That's what we do by acting dominant, we take on our natural role and allow the woman to take on her natural feminine role - most of which eagerly do. And it makes us both happy.

[–]moiez326 53 points54 points  (19 children) | Copy Link

First off,

Bill burr is great.

However, let's have a moment of silence for louis CK who has become such a huge white knight with his justification for his dad bod and horrible defence for women's "issues" lately. Seriously, fuck that guy.

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

It seems like Louis CK is really tailoring his material to appeal to urban, "progressive" yuppies. Aziz Ansari is the same way. They love making some sweeping liberal statement onstage and getting tons of applause for it. It's like the standup version of The Daily Show.

[–]VinylGuy420 10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Aziz Ansari especially. His Madison Square garden stand up was horrible.

The video here. The bit starts at 14:00mins.

The bit is about creepy guys, which is nothing more than him re-enforcing the media's portrayal of what a creepy guy is which is basically Omega pill guys. Honestly the situations he descibes are probably true to a certain extent but they occur so rarely and it's such a known taboo it's unmentionable. His special makes it seem as though it's a frequent occurrence.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I watched the first 30 minutes of this special on Netflix, and I had to stop because it was so disappointing. I just hate how he panders to the audience so much. if you're a comedian in NYC, all you have to do is proclaim your support for some social justice bullshit and you're guaranteed to get a huge applause. It's like a huge circle jerk for liberalism.

[–]moiez326 6 points7 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Mhm, oh god.. Aziz too!? Man..

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Dude, Aziz is the worse offender. He spent most of his time onstage at the Roast of James Franco lecturing the other comedians for making gay jokes.

[–]moiez326 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Wtf? What kind of comedian tells other comedians to lay off a certain topic. I think any topic is fair game in the name of comedy. Jesus christ, lost respect for him too.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Aziz seems to be really concerned about being as hip as possible. It's such a turnoff for me as a big comedy fan. You can tell that he LOVES being famous and being part of the NYC in-crowd. So he just panders to those type of people.

[–]Thizzlebot 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

You can tell that he LOVES being famous and being part of the NYC in-crowd.

Of course he loves it, he would be a loser without fame. He has to bend himself as much as he can to remain relevant because deep down he's a pussy ass little bitch.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Louis CK is turning into a SJW? Oh please no :(

[–]moiez326 12 points13 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Yup but the thing is though i cant be sure if he really believes in being a sjw or his recent routines are all about getting more viewership and bigger audiences.

I wonder the same thing about Patton Oswalt. I can't help but suspect that he pretends to be more liberal than he really is because it's good for his career.

[–]justtookit 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

What did you expect? The guy made his character by joking about how pathetic he is. He does well because he self-flagellates, makes himself as apologetic and nonthreatening as possible, and supplicates to the progressive religion.

[–]Totsean 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Amen, what's wrong with that guy. Damn

[–]moiez326 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

He was so cool, ine of my favourite comedians. I still love his style but now i cant take him seriously as a human being.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Must be his newer stuff. Can you link his white knight shit.

[–]moiez326 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeh it's his newer stuff. Will do as soon as i get the chance.

[–]redpillthrower 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Was he always this way? I Noticed it too when i went to listen to some of his stuff and the self hating humor went beyond funny to just really depressing.

[–]moiez326 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Hmm, no. The self hating stuff is regular but then he started doing stuff where he puts down us men and makes women seem like angels as in "how in the world would a woman trust a man to be with her" and also started bashing in guys having abs and getting fit.

[–]5pecial 55 points55 points [recovered] | Copy Link

That groan from the crowd when he said "get in the kitchen and make a sandwich"... Why is it so offensive? My ex would flip her shit when I'd ask her to make me a sandwich, even though I went out of my way to pay for 100% of our shit.

[–]Chaohinon 50 points51 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

With all due respect to Burr, "make me a sandwich" has become the gendered version of "hey how about those bad asian drivers amirite?" It's not so much offensive as it is old hat.

[–]martypete7 points [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

also, sandwiches aren't even that good. Make me a steak is more like it. That requires more time and effort as well.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

my problem with this is i'm a vastly better cook than any woman i've ever dated. Why would i get a woman to cook for me when it's going to be much better when i do it myself?

[–]martypete 1 points1 points [recovered] | Copy Link

you didn't listen to the bit. Bill Burr advocates this only needs to be done ONCE every THREE MONTHS! You can cook 361 days of the year, she only needs to cook 4 days out of the year, and we will be happy, see what I'm saying?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

i did, i guess you're right. I'll just have to choke down her shit.

[–]52576078 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I actually thought it took away a little from the joke given how 'triggering' that phrase is to post-feminism women.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why is it so offensive?

Because people yearn for a chance to win, to feel relevant, even if there is no fight to be won.

[–]LionLaw 13 points14 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]MisterMojoMan[S] 4 points5 points  (13 children) | Copy Link

Yeah man, definitely get them while you can. It is a completely different experience to see him live.

[–]Endorsed ContributorTheRedPilsner 3 points4 points  (12 children) | Copy Link

Seeing Bill Burr live is something on my bucket list. I really hope he comes to my city someday.

[–][deleted] 19 points20 points  (11 children) | Copy Link

It's well worth it. Saw his most recent special, where he did this joke, a few months ago and he had the whole room in tears for an hour an a half. And not one joke was receycled from previous material.

Also, he really seems to be bringing out his best shit against feminism/SJW's in this recent show. Hope he keeps it up for years to come.

[–]Endorsed ContributorTheRedPilsner 22 points23 points  (9 children) | Copy Link

Also, he really seems to be bringing out his best shit against feminism/SJW's in this recent show.

Joe Rogan is another stand up comic who likes to go after SJWs. In one of his podcasts he said about SJWs/feminists something like "You don't create, you don't contribute, all you do is complain. And that is why everybody thinks that you're a cunt."

[–]markfeel10 points [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

Bill Burr, Joe Rogan, and Doug Stanhope are my "big three" comedians right now.

[–]Endorsed ContributorTheRedPilsner 6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Adam Carolla is another comedian who is pretty RP.

[–]foulplay21 points [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

That would be my top 3 as well.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Joe is pretty awesome. I guarantee you he's at least semi-aware about the manosphere/TRP. You get inklings of it in the way he talks about the subject matter, but he cleverly never states his position openly so he doesn't draw too much ire.

[–]MisterMojoMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes! His feminism bits were fucking incredible. I just thought this part of his act was a lot better for this subreddit. I can't wait for his special to be released so a lot of people can hear what he has to say.

[–]grewapair 11 points12 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

It's very simple: there are men women use, and there are men woman try to make happy. They'll marry either kind.

If a woman who believes she can use you, she will put you in that box. Some women have been taught they can use everyone. If she thinks of you as someone she can use, you need to get out. If not, you need to fight, every day, to stay out of the 'use him' box.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

The word you're looking for is frame. Keep your frame.

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Its not just for relationships. We have low expectations from women about everything. A woman starts a business and suddeny she is a role model or someone to look up to. Big fucking deal. Men start and fail businesses every day.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

I know a girl whose full-time job is writing mindless, generic shit for a company's Twitter page. She regularly gives speeches at "Women's Leadership" conferences. I know she gave at least 4 speeches just last year.

[–]52576078 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

This. One of the stupidest women I've ever known is now the "developers advocate" (whatever the fuck that is) for a major software company, probably earning more than me. I'll give her credit for one thing, she's a seriously good networker, and always involved in these types of conferences.

[–]vincentninja68 8 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

"Women are just like guys, a good 68% of them are assholes." Gonna have to write that down.

[–]_whistler 8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I normally don't like plugs, regardless of who they're for. But I'm actually pretty excited about seeing Bill Burr, he's been one of my faves for years. Thanks for posting the tour dates.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (10 children) | Copy Link

I get it. But I don't get it. Frankly, we are best off when we are not waiting on women to provide us anything other than sex.

Really, it is a huge mistake for us to think that they will add to our lives in a major, personally affirming way. As soon as you are weak, you are discarded.

What we need is to acknowledge reality. We are the disposable sex. Our lot is struggle for the things we want and that is what is not acknowledged by the feminist movement--that the successes we have had include a lot of hard working men who did not meet the final prize thrown aside by the power of evolution. Instead, feminists focus on the 5 guys who did awesome and say "there were no women there." Well yes, but there were also not 5,000 dead men at the low end of society too.

What I find fascinating is the playout of sex differences in the culture. Most women's culture is about obtaining the approval of he group--everyone must be involved in saying "you go girl!" regardless of how stupid the proposed course of action is. d

That's why we cannot rely on women to make us sandwiches. They are not our mother, they are a mate with some pretty fucking amoral mating strategies.

Frankly, we went wrong in the Middle Ages. Courtly love killed us. It has poisoned our perception of male-female relations for 800 years. The woman is to be put on a pedestal and knights are supposed to have a crush on the King's wife but never do anything about it and do what she wishes. That's the origin of culturally sanctioned hypergamy. We need something else. The Red Pill is really the start, not the end.

Maybe I am still in the anger phase.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

One other question. I have never had non-consensual sex with anyone. Why then, am I morally responsible for any person who has had non-consensual sex with someone? Strictly because of my sex?

[–]BrunoOh 3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

It's like how today's white people are responsible for slavery.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

But my ancestors were poor Irish peasants who never owned slaves. In fact, they were slaves!

[–]1OneRedYear 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

We need something else.

Find loopholes in the system and get comfortable. This is the future for the duration of our sexually prime years.

[–]Farabee 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I kind of agree here. Men are put on earth to blaze their own trail. Women are along for the ride.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Really, it is a huge mistake for us to think that they will add to our lives in a major, personally affirming way. As soon as you are weak, you are discarded.

this is the anger phase. Women can and do add something to your life, but you shouldn't need them to.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't get why everyone is viewed as disposable. There's 7 billion people on earth, an average pussy isn't worth shit. I don't get why society still pedestalizes it, we're not running out of them by any fucking means. How bout everyone is disposable?

-Women today, generally speaking, do not make much effort to deliberately go out of their way to do something simple and kind for their boyfriend/husband, purely out of generosity, because they don't feel like they have to.

It's not just that they "feel like they don't have to." It's true, they DON'T feel like they have to. And that's the only reason they'd do it, is if they HAD to.

Everything is a power game with these bitches. Just constantly wearing you down. Testing and pushing back your boundaries.

In whatever length it takes for The Lovely Nia to fess up to fucking some parking lot pimp and still be able to take that house and its refinished basement away from him, she'll do it. He married and absolute piece of shit of a woman.

"The Man"

[–]Sofakingcoolstorybro 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

You sound awesome to be around.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Dude, chill. I listen to his podcasts and Nia is tiring sometimes but we're getting two podcasts a week - his Monday morning hour long show and his Thursday half-hour check in. That's 1.5 hours a week out of 168. And she only talks on the podcasts for a few minutes every couple of shows. And when she is on, he busts her balls as much as she busts his. For all we know, he's got her locked down the rest of the week.

Besides that, he still puts out funny shit on a consistent basis so I highly fucking doubt that being married to her is such a huge detriment to his life.

Today, a plate fixed me a turkey sandwich with a banana and coconut water. I didn't think anything of it.

It was an expected behavior, like someone holding the door for you if you're right behind them walking into a building.

[–]bluedrygrass 7 points8 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

"-Men are extremely simple when it comes to what makes them happy. "

Not true at all. This is just a common phrase thrown around following the narrative of "men are those stupid 50 iq cavemen that thinks of sex every 7 seconds and couldn't live without a woman".

In reality, men are generally way more complex and deep than women are, (as can be seen in men being interested in all those complex hobbies and sports and novels and songs that women can't even undestand) it's just that they simply are more easiliy satisfied, we accept and enjoy more easiliy all the small things in life, while women are never satisfied and always wanting more and more.

But that's not being complex. That's just being broken.

[–]rp_divorced 2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

If they'd simply get out the house and leave us alone for a few hours, we can enjoy those complex hobbies because we sure won't while they're there.

[–]Hennez 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Or maybe you could do your stuff without needing to have a woman around unless what you want to do physically requires one.

[–]rp_divorced 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

It didn't come across well, but I was joking. But I'm also going to guess you've never been married and tried to do something you wanted to do, and that she's not interested in, with your wife nearby.

[–]Hennez 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I understood that was a joke, no problem there.

You guessed that right too. I have not experienced that situation with a wife but I have done so with many other people (which should be the same thing in concept) who don't share my hobbies.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Well let's put it this way. Men are simple for a woman to make happy in the context of a relationship.

  1. Be hot
  2. Be sweet and grateful
  3. Don't be a selfish bitch

[–]SDSAM21 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Saw him him in San Diego this month. Definitely worth it.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Holy shit, I laughed hard at this. And the sad thing is I laughed so hard because I can relate.

Men get shit for not paying for dates, not paying enough attention to women, not doing anything romantic, not having stable careers, everything. But none of that would matter for an hour if my girlfriend went and made a sandwich, without asking, and then left to read a book. That would be incredible.

Come to the UK Bill!

[–]Boolit_Tooth_Tony 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Going to see him in San Antonio. I'm trying to hold back from watching videos like this out of fear that the material will be at the show, but it's damn hard to refrain. It was worth it.

Just a heads up went to go buy tickets for the LA show and saw this posted on the site

[–]Futdashukup 1 point2 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

My LTR doesn't make me a sandwich...but she does let me tie her up,blindfold her, then spank her with a whip while I fuck her mouth, and if she doesn't suck it right, she gets punished harder. So they will do some shit you like. I mean, if she takes it in the ass...she doing that for you because you can be sure as shit that she doesn't like it.

[–]Futdashukup 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

It talked about how men like it.No mention of women. So...I was right?????

[–]frys180 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Women do like it :) Albeit not as much as men. Anal stimulation has the potential to indirectly stimulate a woman's G-spot. Also, the many nerve endings in the anus makes anal sex very arousing.

However, anal stimulation isn't everyone woman's cup of tea. Some women are more stimulated than others.

[–]Futdashukup 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree that some women like some anal stimulation. But the proportion of women that like anal sex (balls deep in ass) is low.

Our friend was moving in with his new wife. We helped carry in the furniture and stuff, and he invited us to come over a few days later to a housewarming party.... anyway, we get there and the couch facing the tv was filled with stuffed animals, while another couch was on the side.... there was not enough room for everyone to have a seat, and the guys moved he stuffed animals so they can sit. The wife had a tantrum, and started hysterically sobbing and we were asked to leave. He was reluctant to even say hello for a few years, until they had their first kid.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I've made this argument multiple times over at PPD.

We have such lower standards than women it's crazy. They're over there harping on 'body image' and 'micro aggression'. My response is, if you're a 7 (meaning basically not fat or scarred) and have a pleasant demeanour, locking down a man is ridiculously easy.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

And yet STILL the douchebag female in the crowd couldn't shut up or comprehend what was being said. Just complete hubris and pride in bringing absolutely nothing to the table.

[–]LarsPoosay 3 points4 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Reading too far into it.

The joke is that "making a man a sandwich" is "buying flowers" for men. That's it.

Invest your time in a real problem.

[–]a233424 4 points5 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

The fact that it's comedy material and the way the audience reacts, and the way the comedian needs to tame the audience for him to get through the material speaks volume here.

[–]LarsPoosay 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

the way the audience reacts

It's a comedy show. They're laughing and heckling. That happens all of the time. It has nothing to do with the topic itself.

Just to drive my point home, in one of Bill Burr's specials, he mentions "wife beating" and the audience grows silent. That's when he (probably correctly) acknowledges that the audience does not find this funny and is taking things seriously.

It seems like no matter what the audience's reaction was to this, it would be posted here because OP wants to rationalize his position. (I agree with his position; I just don't think this clip supports his position.)

[–]MisterMojoMan[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

I mean, people's interpretation of what they see is subjective. So I guess we can agree to disagree on this one. But to me, for him to say that men are so incredibly simple that all a woman has to do is make him a sandwich and if she does he'll have to "dry the tears with his bread", and that his wife made him a sandwich four years ago and he still thinks about that sandwich, that's the only conclusion that I can come to. Like I said in the original post, a sandwich should absolutely not elicit that kind of reaction from a man. It is a sandwich. The ONLY logical reason that an unasked for sandwich would elicit that kind of reaction is if it is extremely rare for something like that to happen to the person.

[–]LarsPoosay 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I think I'd see your point if it weren't for the context. This was a comedy show. All of the above could just be a joke. I just don't think it's reasonable to take it so seriously for that reason, particularly when comedy uses hyperbole and outright fabrications frequently.

My fondest memories of my ex took place when I was sick and she brought me some soup and a sandwich, fucked my brains out, and then cleaned my bathroom. Especially the bath-room cleaning part. It didn't last though, and it was early in the relationship, but man was it sweet. After she cleaned the bathroom and showered, I think we did it three times in the space of a few hours.

[–]wearnocrowns 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I can’t help but feel a sad undertone in this bit. It’s supposed to be fun and it did make me laugh but it’s much more than that. The guy is sort of venting what he himself has obviously gone through.

It’s actually a pretty bitter fun considering that the fucking sandwich succinctly illustrates the life most guys are living today. A married man will likely remember for years even the tiniest favor that a woman once did to him spontaneously.

And you know what? I bet even that sandwich wasn’t offered just selflessly and that was definitely something behind it… ‘Cause it was a sandwich made within a marriage, not the one made for Chad.

Despite the sad taste of truth making fun of that is a healthy way to cope with it.

EDIT: Making fun is rather a healthy approach. In order to really cope with that there's a lot more to do.

[–]8IIIIIIIIIIIID---- 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Women married back then because they had too, they didn't have much of a choice in society. Now they do, so it makes sense that this the state of things.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a great bit, but the sad part is it's not about women not knowing how to show they give a fuck - they simply just don't give a fuck. Not unless you're their current Chad, then of course they give a fuck. If you're CT they'll make you TWO sandwiches and when you're done they'll come over and suck your dick.

But if you're married? You're the BB? Lol. Get the fuck out of here.

[–]billcosbyeatsbabies 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

The reason women are so lazy is because men have invented machines to successfully replace them entirely. Washing machines, boom, now you don't gotta deal with some bitchy hoe just to get your clothes cleaned. Same with dishwashers. Guess what? There's a fucking robot in development that will cook and prepare entire meals for you. The joy in my heart when I saw that online was immense. Women are easily replaceable. The only shitty part about missing a woman or mother from the household is that children will grow up without the yin/yang parenting relationship of a mother and father. They'll grow up being raised by a dad and no mom. But hey, even now most moms suck at parenting and leave their kids at daycare. Lazy fucking vagina creatures.

In the wild Alphas are very transient, existing often for as little as 1 day at a time until the next Alpha takes over his spot. Same thing in our modern civilization, the next Chad Thundercock is right around the corner ready to give your girl the tingle she keeps chasing.

[–]2585-2 points [recovered] (15 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, having heard the words out of the mouth of that disgusting ingrate (not mangrate) he married, the one who exists as a ghetto, low IQ, complaining lump, I have no respect for Bill and find his bits empty and predictable albeit well timed and skillfully intonated.

"The Lovely Nia" is a walking nightmare and I'm surprised at all of you eager show-goers wanting to see a broken man walk off the stage and get cuckolded by his elevated-above-her-station ball of complaints, too good for it all, bitch.

[–]MisterMojoMan[S] 3 points4 points  (14 children) | Copy Link

I feel like this actually comes down to your insecurities as a man. If you are comfortable with who you are and have the frame of a natural alpha, you wouldn't mind being married to a girl like this. What is wrong with a girl challenging your frame and making you a better man by constantly sharpening your mental sword as a man, if you can handle it? Whenever I listen to Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast, pretty much every time he handles Nia exactly how we, as a community, think he should. He always stands his ground with the woman he is with, with the only exception being that he only submits when he knows he is WRONG. That is the only time he submits to Nia's frame. Other than that, Bill Burr didn't lose by marrying Nia. He is actually winning because it is so obvious that he is the kind of Man (capital "M") who can handle it.

[–]2585 0 points0 points [recovered] | Copy Link

That is the only time he submits to Nia's frame

Yeah having her play human boat anchor on a $5,000 airline seat and still bitch at him is surely the ONLY OTHER time, right? She's somehow more than a sponge, she does a lot right? Lots of goals and commitments that keep her from being able to take weeks off her "job" and follow bill around? Oh, no? None of that? She is just ghetto trash that found a sucker with comedic timing?

He is actually winning because it is so obvious that he is the kind of Man (capital "M") who can handle it.

She's a walking bad divorce filling a role for her likely pegging enthusiast secret desire-for-humiliation husband. But I get that you cant see past celebrity worship though.

Hey did you also miss the show where Bill told his audience how he gave in and now enjoys watching shit like The Kardashians with his wife now?

[–]MisterMojoMan[S] 5 points6 points  (12 children) | Copy Link

I don't think you fully understand the concept of a true, natural alpha. A true, natural alpha wouldn't give a fuck about what you just said, as long as, at the end of the day, he was ultimately calling the shots in the relationship. Only someone who was trying to emulate alpha characteristics would let what you said bother them. Bill Burr is way too alpha, way too high value, and way too busy of a man to worry about trivial shit like that.

Too trivial to care to have money for retirement? Have you heard how often bill talks about that? Are you in highschool that you cannot understand how much he will fucking care in a California, proven trail of dependence, proven accustomed-lifestyle world-travelling whore for decades, divorce rape?

Shove your "natural alpha" shit back up your ass and use your ears and a calculator to figure out how fucked bill is for putting a ring on a do-nothing lump of shit.

You are so sucked-in on terminology that you are like a stereophile retard that cant hear the actual music through the sound of the sticker price on his speakers.

You are treating this like one of your pokemon games where your book-learned knowledge of jargon is the truth of the terrain.

Dude, do you really think she is going to leave him? Any man with a modicum of experience with women would know just how much high value men affect women. You think men will do anything to get laid? You obviously haven’t seen what women will do to keep a guy with even a fraction of Bill Burr’s value around.

And I am going to go out on a limb and say that considering one of Bill Burr’s most famous bits is how there are gold digging whores in the world who are taking down great men in the courts when they divorce, I am going to assume that he has a solid prenup. That’s just me though, you can believe what you want.

It really seems like you just need to read more sidebar man. There is great info in there that will help you understand what I am talking about. I also highly recommend Rollo Tomassi. But I’m tired and I’m good with arguing for now. So you have a good night man.

Also, kids without fathers get real emotional about the celebrities they use as a proxy to help raise them. Clearly, you are using Bill Burr the way a lot of kids used the MC Guru to glean life lessons from. And that is fine, to an extent, just stop willfully blinding yourself with the celebrity worship. Its a hugely negative, feminine and self-defeating trait that you can conqueror and better yourself for escaping.

Hollywood and Entertainment industry stars are not going to serve you anything but that which they think they can make money off of conveying to you. Keep that in mind as you search for a master.

(insert jargon here that will allow you to parse this directive and be able to learn from it)

You 2 faggots still bitching at eachother?

Bill married a jobless Nia Hill, she rolls with it - which is a no go. Bill caved in because he was scared to be alone at 50. This is a natural behaviour when getting older like Bill. Thats that.

Do you honestly think that Bill Burr, arguably one of the top 3 stand-up comedians in the U.S. today, had limited options when it came to which woman he was going to marry?

What the fuck are you even babbling about? ITS NOT A POKEMON GAME YOU FUCKING MORON.

[–]Parade_Precipitation -2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

yeah...why dont you post a clip of how you shouldnt fucking record a comedian working out new material and post it on youtube.

he would definitely think you're a cunt op.

I see Bill doesn't love Europe. Shame.

[–]akjoltoy -3 points-2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah this post isn't a subtly disguised Bill Burr advertisement at all.

Just a legit redpill post.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
