Time for a refresher in the basics of TRP. Some of you may be approved submitters, feel free to contribute if you can. Otherwise, the rest of you should take some time to read up on some sidebar. I've taken the liberty of reposting some of the more important features of our content so new members can enter into new discussions regarding it.

I haven't read that post, but I remember reading somewhere that female body absorbs DNA from each of her sexual partner. Therefore if you have a child with a promiscuous girl you're indirectly cucking yourself because the child will have DNA of other men, too.

No idea whether this has been scientifically proven or not.

I would call this a rare occurrence of Wikipedia being right.

One sperm fertilizes one egg; the eggs are not generated like sperm they are stored long-term. The eggs are not altered at the genetic level through sex, nor is there more than one man's sperm entering the same egg.

Rare? I'd say it would be more accurate to say they are right more often than not. Nearly all of the information on the website includes sources, which is more than you can say about many other websites, including news outlets, and especially reddit.

It feels a little humorous that a reddit post, a website that is littered with misinformation and upvoted comments that make wild claims with no references, is calling out Wikipedia for, as you put it, rarely getting it right.

This isn't a high school English class. You can use Wikipedia as a source. Just use some common sense. If it doesn't provide a source for a wild claim, or references something absurd like a reddit post, then be skeptical.

Unfortunately Western Ukrainians seem to generally all believe some weird stuff about a man's DNA/hormones sticking around for the lifetime of the woman and influencing children even ten years later. I think that it was probably a man's voodoo juice at one point and then it was updated with scientific lingo, since science is good, m'kay. It was very disheartening to be with several people who were educated, knowing 3-4 languages each and to stumble upon their agreement in eugenics pseudo-science folklore.

I feel like much of TRP's content/submissions has somewhat declined in quality over the past year. From FRs from high schoolers to your usual, routine questions about stuff that's been on the sidebar for years. So much redundancy, yet so little new content.

This was a much needed move, and surely it will help the subreddit get "back on track" (not that it's lost, but you get the idea). Hopefully the younger posters realize that, too. And as a lurker, I'd be perfectly OK with TRP becoming an approved submitter -only subreddit. This might seem extreme to some people, but I feel like the quality of the posts would be much, much greater - not to mention you wouldn't see the same lame posts about getting a girl's number, or her Snapchat, or whatever the fuck she uses to communicate... like it matters.

Great overall strategy. I think you should be relentless as far as the timeline before posts can be submitted again. This place has been a stay away for quite some time due to the lack of quality not only in submissions but membership. It seems the cult effect of the “Red Pill” has drawn out the weak minds and each post becomes a back and forth of beta/feminists ideals contradicted by a wide array of personal conflicted projections. Thanks again for the implementation, been a lurker since 2012.

So much redundancy, yet so little new content.

Because once a guy understands the basics (evolutionary biology, game (and lifting), putting himself first, AF/BB, how feminism has morphed into a socially approved effort to put women's needs above men's, don't get married, focus on your own career), there isn't a huge amount more to say. RP is not math or computational biology, which appear to be infinitely varied.

Once a guy gets the basic principles, it's all application, and usually application to some other domain. Reading books is also more useful than reading more Internet.

I will sometimes have a comment on some news stories or short personal stories, but those are banned here, so I put them on a blog instead. IMO there are a lot of good game writers out there, but they rarely or never post here.

Right, and there's more: communication with women (when to do it and when not to), boundary enforcement (there's a right way and a wrong way to to do it), other differences between the sexes (eg, female aversion to male weakness and vulnerability), and so on.

Another thing, from my perspective as an older man, what I've been doing in my posts is looking BACK over my life and identifying RP principles and how they played out way before there was TRP.

It has been fucking illuminating. For me, all questions have been answered. All confusions have been clarified.

A new example from years ago occurs to me every once in a while and I write it up and post it, but when the commentary is so fucking stupid it is de-motivational.

The only way quality and varied content can continue to be produced is to broaden the spectrum of what TRPers are encouraged to produce.

Wake up at 5AM was a quality post, had little to do with getting laid. Wake up like a coked up madman was quality content as well.

The practical online dating guide was the best thing I've ever read on here; it is the definitive guide to online dating. But I guarantee we will see another online dating guide of poorer quality within the next month.

I'd like to see broader, more practical discussion of masculine things. "Top rep ranges for your goals." "My experience with roids." "How to actually not masturbate." "Investments for 2017."

These are just random titles made up off the top of my head, but you get the idea. In my opinion, TRP should be partially about other things that improve your life, and are an indirect benefit to your SMV, rather than a ton of theory posts.

It's less time sucking that way.

It encourages people to do rather than think that way.

It gives more actionable advice that way.

We're not arguing over what alpha means that way.

I am not sure if Reddit has this feature (I haven't been on Reddit for a long time), but I know that in certain forums you can enable a feature that makes it so until a moderator looks at your post and approves it, it doesn't show up.

You can post anything you want, but its not going to show up for anyone but a moderator till they click a button and "accept" your content, which then makes it view-all.

Maybe you guys should start thinking about using that if its an actual option on Reddit.

Mostly true.

It's a strange atmosphere in here at times, as there's a strong emphasis on confirmatory biology but any evidence of biology counter to the central tenants is dismissed or skeptically (and, often, cynically) reviewed. Sugar is a good example of it.

Let's start with smoking for a moment. We know smoking is bad. Evidence is out there suggests vaping is bad. Yet, there are still doctors (i.e., doctoral-educated individuals in human physiology) who smoke. Why? Clearly they aren't "autistic, blue-pilled IQ80" (on the surface). At a minimum, the IQ guess is off.

Sugar is no different. There are many exceptional professionals out there we would recognize as being, for the most part, examples of The Red Pill Life. Yet, they drink, consume sports drinks, enjoy dessert, and so fourth.

Sugar also has the other complicating factor which approach does not have: approach is about mindset; sugar is about addiction and habit. To break one's addiction to sugar, one must engage in a form of cognitive behavioural therapy (e.g., one eats dessert at night, around 9 PM; changes setting to be out of the house between 8 PM and 11 PM, so upon returning home he heads straight to bed).

I think what caught me was the idea that failure in inherently linked to "blue-pill" thinking. It isn't and it shouldn't be thought of like that. It creates a harsh transition out of the comfortable and ignorant life into a more successful and fulfilling one. People need to know that they will fail at this. Good. We also have tools and techniques that help men understand where and how they failed, how to build from the failure, and how to avoid repeating those failures in the future.

After all, if you aren't failing, you aren't even trying.

Truth be told the signal to noise ratio has been brutal. Upvotes don't mean a thing, at least the briganding going on by commenters is so obvious that even I can see it. If you open reddit in desktop mode, you can see a bar on the right side of the page, roughly analogous to a nav-bar in many websites.

It has links to content that they usually want users to read before they post. This prevents posts about irrelevant topics, or questions which have already been thoroughly answered.
