I wasn't sure where to put this so I just decided to put this here.

I was reading this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/46pvzc/how_women_destroy_the_west/

Read the first/top voted comment.

It's interesting what he says, but I can't help but wonder if his theory is going to be rendered incorrect by the rise of automation. His argument is based on the idea that as more women and men become a drain on society as a result of traditional gender roles going the way of the dodo society and the welfare state will at some point collapse and western society with it.

But will it though? At that point won't most jobs just be automated by robots anyway? The biggest hole in his theory is that it assumes capitalism and free markets will still be a thing many decades from now. It won't. Capitalism will soon be replaced by a automation society where everybody just lives of universal basic income.

How do robots and automation fit into red pill theory? Won't robots just make gender roles absolute?

You assume that society will adapt and follow a rational path of universal currency. People do not like change. I think something as big as changing to universal currency will take a lot longer than a few decades. For example:

There are still numerous forms of measurement adopted by numerous nationalities. Why not adopt a single, more simplified and universal method of measurement?

I said nothing about a universal currency. I am talking about universal basic income, the idea that you just get paid by the government simply for existing. Once robots take all our jobs this is the only course of action. If robots do all jobs than red pill ideas might become pointless since manly values would not be needed for the economy to function.

Capitalism and free markets will never be replaced. Potentially, instead of welfare we could move to "UBI" (aka subsidy payments) and it could become a greater % of citizens but it can NEVER become universal where society doesn't work. The math just doesn't work.

Yes it does. Some expect as much as 90% of jobs to be fully automated in the next 40 years.

I don't argue with idiots.

I'm not the idiot here. There is literally no reason to assume capitalism will continue to exist in a society where robots can do everything for you. You haven't provided any counter-argument. The fact of the matter is that it's very possible that robots will simply remove the need for gender roles and capitalism, and should this happen then most of the red pill's ideas will fall apart.

First...What's to stop a nation from spending the basic income money on war robots instead of basic income, then ROFLstomping the countries that do basic income?

Specifically: basic income at $12k per USA person per year is about $4 TRILLION dollars, or about the same as the ENTIRE REST OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET. The Federal budget is unsustainably large as it is...so if it doubles, it means pretty soon people stop lending us money or trading with us...which means massive unemployment and suffering in the USA. Other countries would use that opportunity to take what they want or even invade. Like, say, China decided to stop manufacturing export goods for the USA, and started manufacturing automated hunter-killer drones, and then suddenly unloading a few hundred cargo containers each full of a few thousand explosive-tipped quadcopters all over our great country. So...basic income means economic collapse which means being broke, unemployed, and scared of looters for a few months or years then getting killed by a rival world power. Is that what you're into?

Thing is, most voters are so pants-on-the-head dumb that they will vote themselves money even though it will collapse the world they live in.

Second: Have you done much work with robots? Robots are fucking dumb, fucking expensive, and fucking finicky. It is super easy to fuck up not just truckloads but WAREHOUSES of parts by setting up the robots wrong. Robots CANNOT do what people can. Take self-driving cars...they're good in normal situations, but they don't deal well at all with weird situations. And people haven't even STARTED trolling self-driving cars by doing shit that will trip their sensors. You thought the "microwave phone recharging" prank was bad? Just wait for the "do a barrel roll" prank which gets people to map update their cars into driving off a cliff in front of a webcam. Is that the future you want?

How about this: you put down the weed, take a shower, and then get a real job.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
