I’m not one to follow the crowd. I am 25 years old, have never had a sip of alcohol. I was the only person in my high school graduating class to go farther than 2 hours away to college. (I went 22) I live my life different than most people my age.

But with that being said, I also didn’t do a lot of things people my age did either, in a negative sense.

I plan on making a full post on this one day, but let me illustrate to you what TRP has given to me. Before I found TRP:

  • virgin (failed attempts at sex due to ED)
  • addicted to pornography with porn induced erectile dysfunction
  • blue pilled Disney faggot that was highly prone to ONEitis for the first girl that showed interest in me.
  • unemployed
  • suffering from depression and an extremely severe form of anxiety called Depersonalization/Derealization (the cause of my unemployment)
  • no license
  • no car
  • Skinny fat due to weight lifting injuries

After TRP:

  • I am the manager of a gym
  • Certified Personal Trainer
  • Blocked and ghosted my biggest ONEitis
  • I got my license
  • I got a new car
  • I have overcome my severe pornography addiction, with only jerking off 12 times in the past 285 days.
  • I lost my virginity (with a fully hard D)
  • Began meditation as a habit and completely recovered from depression and depersonalization/derealization
  • I upped my wardrobe, styled my hair, improved my teeth, and drastically improved my physique.
  • I have read 25+ books since January 1st

I would consider myself a loner. But the ban on TRP has me borderline feeling like grabbing a pitchfork and flame. I feel like this is one of few things where I am comfortable in being apart of it.

The fact that reddit went out of its way to take this away, and try to stifle men from waking up from the blue pilled dream is disgusting.

I don’t know about you, but I personally feel like contributing to something bigger and better than ever before. As Andrew Carnegie once said:

“Take away my people, but leave my factories and grass will grow on the factory floors...take away my factories but leave my people and soon will will have a new and better factory”

Crabs in a bucket.

[–]JerryLawlerPigFace[S] 35 points36 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Can confirm this is a real occurrence.

But what I have noticed is that they are more so testing your new found frame to see if this new change is genuine. It comes off in a belittling, passive aggressive, insulting type of way, but what is happening is that they have taken notice of your change, are afraid of “falling behind”, and want to know what you’re doing that got you there.

If your change and new found frame is genuine, and you pass their dumb tests, you’ll be surprised at how quickly their responses go from “pshhh, yeah right....”

to: “really?”.....”hey maybe I should try that”

Their “pulling you back in the bucket” is a massive indicator that you’re doing something right. At least that’s what it seems like to me.

Yeah fuck this guy. How dare you become a better man! We hate self improvement ! - Reddit

[–][deleted] 111 points112 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I thought it said "only jerking off 12 times a day now" for a second

[–]JakarrSlamson49 points50 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Similar to me. I went into trp an 18 year old boy and leave a 22 year old man. While I might not be able to pay it forward online anymore, I will try to offer my advice to young men I sense struggling the same way I did.

[–]meme_poacher9 points10 points  (6 children) | Copy Link

I just started trp this year, been lifting since January, started meditation on Monday and have read most of the sidebar. But I can't get over my approach anxiety, I am not able to hold a conversation, I tend to think I have nothing important or interesting to say. I it's more of a confidence issue

[–]ioncehadsexinapool9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Perspective. Think about how infinitely vast the universe is and how fucking stupid it is to have that type of anxiety. Have a sense of something greater than yourself, all of your worries will seem dull and won’t try as hard to prevent your happiness

[–]qwerty_slut4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Just be present in the conversation. Listen and react.

[–]German88352 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Read “the game”. I don’t know why, but I am reading it right now, and I got confidence from reading it, I don’t know from where. And this confidence has no ground, like lifting for example, where I get confidence from getting bigger and stronger. Maybe because now I know that you can have any woman you want, if you know how.

[–]JakarrSlamson2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Keep lifting. Will help your confidence and frame immensely. What I found to help me the most was forcing myself into uncomfortable social situations. For example, find a corec sports league at your city or university and sign up for a team alone as a free agent. Go in with the frame of mind that you aren't going to try and mess around with any girl on the team. It is much easier to socialize when you have something in common to talk about and are only interested in finding friends. Eventually and with enough practice, you will be able to talk to anyone this way. Sports teams will also keep you active and your schedule busy, which boosts confidence as well.

The initial problem you need to fix is social anxiety with regards to both genders. Once you can socialize with strangers comfortably, you can start worrying about escalating with girls. This takes practice as well, and the only way to get better is to go on as many dates as possible and fail as many dates as possible. You can start to understand how to get a feel for different girls, to know what speed to move, and to understand how the game works.

I hope this helps you. It really is a 2 step process. Step 1 can be accelerated by getting a service industry job or by saying Yes to literally any invite thrown your way. Watch the movie Yes Man to see what I mean. Step 2 is much harder because opportunities to escalate happen far less than opportunities to socialize. Just know that you will never even get to step 2 if you cant properly socialize, which is why I put that as step 1.

I feel you man, same thoughts. The quarantining of TRP has me boiling with anger. Because this sub has allowed me to grow so much, and to become so much happier (and incidently, to make women way happier with me).

All of this is so wrong. Fuck SJWs, they deserve no sympathy whatsoever.

[–]roaring_abyss3 points4 points  (8 children) | Copy Link

Is there anything we can do? Who do we write to even to complain?

[–]Popeman791 point2 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

I don't know. The best would be to vote with our actions, which would be to migrate to a reddit alternative site. But the most popular site, Voat, is populated by overt racists. And I'm pretty sure those are fake, it's actually a sound strategy for liberals: create a lot of alternative sites to reddit and fill them with far-right tropes so you have no option in the middle. You're either on a liberal site or a nazi site, no neutral freedom of speech.

At some point the market will correct himself and a viable alternative to reddit will appear, but it will take time.

[–]Pelon016 points7 points  (5 children) | Copy Link

Don’t paint such a brad brush of “liberal.” I’m a liberal and this TRP quarantine is really ticking me off too. There are some overt misogynists on TRP and that’s why the ban is coming. I wish they would take into consideration how many of us, like OP, the sub has been positive for.

[–]Popeman791 point2 points  (4 children) | Copy Link

Honest question, what do you think of the whole Kavanaugh accusations? To me, it's so plainly obvious he's being framed it's funny. The accusations make no sense, their timeline makes perfect sense, etc. Yet you don't see any critical voices on reddit from the liberals' side. If I'm wrong please point me towards dissenting voices on the left.

That's my issue with liberals (at least the only ones that are vocal): they're not necessary evil, I think most mean well, but they are useful idiots who swallow what they're being fed.

[–]Pelon011 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

So two things as a liberal I don’t want the court to swing further right, I think that’s bad for the future of the country. That’s separate from someone being guilty of sexual assault or not though.

When you consider the allegations, you have to consider that it’s likely not fabricated. Fabricated claims don’t make it this far. Her story, to me, seems credible for many reasons. It could mean that someone else was involved and it still happened to her. It could be that Kavanaugh did do it but was blacked out (he likes beer) and so he’s not necessarily lying when he says it wasn’t him. It’s hard to tell at this point so we’ll see what comes out of the FBI investigation.

[–]Popeman791 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

So two things as a liberal I don’t want the court to swing further right, I think that’s bad for the future of the country.

I can understand this, although I disagree.

When you consider the allegations, you have to consider that it’s likely not fabricated. Fabricated claims don’t make it this far.

I completely disagree. First everything points out to it being fabricated, so much so that it's ridiculous: like come on, the accuser woke up after decades, if she really had been assaulted this would have come out earlier, or at the very least in one of the many investigations on Kavanaugh when he was being promoted earlier in his career. On top of that she doesn't remember any details, all the accusers are overt democrats, and many women Kavanaugh has worked with have come to support him in only a few hours. Also, I don't know if you've noticed, but this accusing thing has become the norm now for the left. Instead of fighting your opponent's ideas, just dig as far as needed until you find some random woman who you can convince to claim she was sexually assaulted. They've done it so many times.

I would totally understand it if there was anything remotely ressembling a proof. But there isn't. And once you accuse somebody of wrongdoing, even if the claim is ridiculous (decades later with no proof) something always comes out of it. Your assumption that those claims don't come from nothing is exactly why this is so effective.

I hope you will realize this when the tables turn and the right makes an equally ludicrous claim against a left-wing candidate (I would hope they would not lower themselves to that but since it works it's inevitable).

[–]Pelon011 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

She didn’t wake up one day this summer and began to deal with it. She’s been going to therapy for years. Her husband knows about Kavanaugh because they went to couples therapy and the therapist has Brett’s name in her notes from years back. It was all in the testimony. That’s why I think she has a legit claim.

Her being a democrat doesn’t discredit her claim. The evidence needs to be weighed. Democrats accuse other democrats too.

If I were republican leadership, I would have looked for a way to replace Kavanaugh when the allegations came out (they were credible then too) and replaced him with one of the other 25 judges the Federalist society recommend to Trump. I’m guessing that was suggested but Trump pressed Kavanaugh because he’s stubborn like that. That may end up costing them a lot if Kavanaugh gets sacked next week and Democrats take the Senate (1 in 3 chance).

[–]Popeman790 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Whatever she says, she didn't seek justice until there was a political gain from it. Then it's not justice you're seeking, at least in my view. Again we're not talking months, we're talking decades.

I guess it all depends how we view the world, and I guess I'm more cynical than you, but I understand that you see this differently. You're right that maybe Trump should've pushed for another candidacy for political reasons, but then it would legitimate these attacks from the left.

I also think that independently from Kavanaugh, what we want as a society is at the same time to protect victims, but also to protect the innocent. For this to be effective, victims have to come forward seeking justice whenever a wrong has been committed, but it has to be for the mere idea of justice, not for money or politics.

If we allow justice to be used for political or monetary gain, we will face an ever increasing amount of false claims, just like those people who jump in front of cars faking an injury to try and get some money from a wealthy stranger.

If you become famous in 30 years, who prevents anyone to single out a meaningless slipup from when you were a teenager and retell it in a way that makes you look like a predator? They could even talk to their therapist beforehand...

[–]JerryLawlerPigFace[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This has all been accomplished in 10 months.

[–]Sad_Sleeper-4 points-3 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Why are you asking that question? It takes time, it doesn't matter how much, the point is to go through all that and to rebuild yourself.

[–]JerryLawlerPigFace[S] 17 points18 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

It’s a valid question. And it shows you 1) how much can be accomplished in just a short amount of time and 2) creates the question of what a man’s true limits are - you begin to see and feel that you are capable of accomplishments far beyond what was ever thought possible for you.

A lot of these goals that I knocked out was me playing catch up. Now we start to see how far I can push this envelope. It’s truly exciting.

[–]anabolic920 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

How much happier do you find yourself, Was it hard getting over the Oneitis?

[–]JerryLawlerPigFace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

At this point in time I am the happiest I’ve ever been. I find myself wowed at points throughout the day at how much more peaceful and fulfilled I am, as compared to this time last year, which I describe as the literal incarnation of hell. (Depersonalization).

Getting over my ONEitis was brutal. But it was also one of the most important experiences I’ve ever had, and it was the catalyst for me finding TRP. Again, I am wowed at some points throughout the day. Whenever the occasional thought does pop up about her now, I almost laugh at how little care there is as compared to 10 months ago, when I was compulsively thinking about her day and night.

I blocked her and cut her out of my life for good, and coincidentally I was the one that was set free.

[–]Iceklimber1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

(What is your question OP?)

[–]JerryLawlerPigFace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha i was waiting for it

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Can you explain how derealization and anxiety influenced you and how you got rid of it?

Cause Im 17yrs old and for the past year Ive been trying to kick this lurking anxiety in me, life is so less enjoyable than before since I cant relax around anyone (not even parents or best friend).

[–]JerryLawlerPigFace[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I’d say the most important thing to understand is that DP/DR is not permanent. There have been thousands and thousands of people confirming that they recovered from it, myself included. Most of the time you find it to be just anxiety. Also, you’re not the outlier, and your case isn’t worse than anyone else’s. This is important because each person with DPDR feels as though they’ll be the one never break free from it. You can.

Remember: if you’re feeling fear, you’re thinking. Thoughts cause emotions. Thoughts are not permanent . Emotions are not permanent. Therefore, fear and the fearful thoughts that cause them are not permanent. You have the ability to change them.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Well that feels spot on, if someone would guarantee me that in a couple of years all of these problems will dissolve I would be able to relax but since there is no guarantee I really do feel fear cause I do not want to live this way and Idk what to do to stop it.

It all started with nofap and with every relapse it got worse, now I basically feel scarred.

[–]tudor071 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I have read 25+ books since January 1st

Damn man, you really give me some competition. I must step up my reading game.

[–]StreetCatAdopter1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

TRP changed my life also, I was blessed to run into that subreddit 4-5 years ago. I feel bad for a lot of the men that will never come across it.

Been hearing a lot about meditation, do you have any resources on this? I'm very busy (kids, college), and don't even know where to begin.

[–]CaptainBW2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Been meditating for a few years here’s my two cents. If there is a “goal” to meditation, it’s to dissolve your Ego and melt into all that is around you. A clear, serene mind. Feeling your emotions and thoughts come in, linger, then pass on by. Not holding on to any one thing. Here’s my advice: during a silent time (I prefer as one of the first things early in the morning) get a regular bed pillow (I recommend getting a meditation pillow), throw it on the floor, sit on it legs folded, hand in lap, set a timer for 5 mins and just focus on your breathing. No opening your eyes until the 5 mins is up. You might find it more enjoyable to do a short guided one as a beginner though. There’s apps and ones on YouTube I’m sure.

[–]Abeham101 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

There is an app I use called Headspace, there is a 90% off student deal right now.

[–]priapula0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Atheist_Utopia0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Since you said you were a loner, how are/were you navigating college at the moment regarding your social life? It truly is lonely at the top. I'm the only redpill aware person in my entire class and they aren't too enjoyable to interact with.

[–]JerryLawlerPigFace[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Some of my darkest times came in college. I was a total beta loser, and I hung out with no one. I had a single room which I holed up in. Jerking off and wasting my college years being depressed.

I didn’t go out, I had such bad anxiety that I didn’t even want to leave my dorm aside from going to the gym.

It was not until my last 7 weeks of college did I discover that I had total control over my thoughts, emotions, and life in general. This was discovered by way of meditation. I used my isolation to meditate constantly, sometimes for over 2 hrs at a time. This is also when I first started realizing that I had a pornography addictions and started to abstain. Meditation and cutting out porn basically armed me with the tools necessary to conquer anything.

This was my first taste of fulfillment and joy in my life. It’s taken a while to put it all together.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Congrats for turning your life around. Keep the momentum going and you're good! When did you discover trp btw?

[–]JerryLawlerPigFace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks a lot man. My ONEitis came back around into my life mid December of last year and I found TRP by January 1st. It took all of two weeks for my fear of loss to kick in and seek out advice. It turned out to be one of the best things to ever happen to me

[–]lookoutitscaleb0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It definitely sucks.

It is only more validation of the truths found.

TRP is banned.

Ok so her seeking justice and political gain, not for her but generally the left, does not make her claim not true. That’s why there is an investigation. My guess is that she’s always had the choice of keeping quiet or going public and weighing that with it making any difference for the general welfare. I think she thinks going public now is her duty because Kavanaugh is seeking such an important position.

I think the R’s could have pushed for another nominee and if anything shown that they do care about serious allegations involving sexual assault. Right now they come off as deeply insensitive to a very believable victim, by most polls I’ve seen.

I agree with you that we want to protect victims but also keep judgement from those are innocent until they are shown to be guilty. This is where social media does its worse because everyone takes extremes. The right called her a liar and the left calls him a rapist.

The difference in your analogy here is that you jump in front of a car knowing your next step and that you will make a fraudulent claim. I don’t think she got herself into this situation in high school knowing that one day she could use this to ruin his life. That doesn’t make mush sense to me.
